- Im loving the Panasonics and the image they have been giving me at weddings, but more importantly how easy they are to use. Every shooter has commented on how easy the cams have been to use. This is the second trailer I've done from weddings Ive shot with these. Let me know how you think they compare to the ZCAMs and Blackmagics.

I'm also considering switching from the GH5 to the S5 in combination with the RS2 + Lidar Focus (to solve the AF issues) and a Ninja V to get the most out of the camera.
its a decent setup. The lidar on the Rs3 is much better though, as its range is increased.

Hi, which optic did you use for 3d focus?
For this wedding is was the Canon FD 50 1.2L
3d work with s5?
I think so but not 100 percent sure
@@joshkiddfilms1295 I keep reading it only works up to four meters. Everything beyond that the 3D Lidar is unable to focus on?

Lools great Josh! I’m thinking of trading my A7SIII for this camera as I can’t get over the ‘video’ image it’s producing. I know you use manual focus but would you say the autofocus in the S1H is unusable ? Cheers
Hey Steve. I agree about the a7s3. Something kind of plastic to the look of that camera. I prefer the more organic feel of the s1h. My experience with autofocus on these cams is pretty limited. I had the kit lens for a few weeks and sold it because I just knew I wasn’t really gonna use it. The autofocus worked pretty decent on it though. From what I’ve read the native Panasonic and sigma lenses tend to show the best af performance.
@@joshkiddfilms1295 cheers Josh . Yes, I can’t fall in love with the Sony image but I do rely on the AF at times. I’ll probably trade for the S1H though as image quality is my number 1 priority. Thanks for the info
@@steven196811 I’m just a big fan of the IMX sensor. This is the full frame in a bunch of different cams like F6, Panasonic s series, versions of it in mavo and Venice. It’s just a great sensor. High dr. Beautiful grain and texture. The new Sony sensor has the low light dual gain but I don’t think looks as good.

How was the 3D Focus? You the whole wedding with it?
It was a little hit or miss for me but Since last weekend I’ve spent more time working with the calibration and now I feel like it’s working much more consistently. When it works it’s amazing. But it’s very easy to turn off and go manual so not really limiting.
