My players said “THANK YOU!!!” And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This is a cool video to watch as a DM, wondering what adventure module to run for their players. No player should watch this, as it spoils the entire mystery for the first half of the adventure.... They're not supposed to know about the temples, the 4 elements (at least not until they meet the cultists, at which point the figure it out), and ESPECIALLY not the dungeon below the temples, which would reveal the true evil and entire reason for the adventure.. This short video is entertaining, but i would never show this to my players.. I fear it would ruin the entire adventure....

This feels quite... spoilery for something to show players before hand! A lot of this is stuff no PC will know until much later in the adventure!

I tend to go by what's publically available about the adventure ie. what's on the website/back of the book as fair game. Website copy reads: "Called by the Elder Elemental Eye to serve, four corrupt prophets have risen from the depths of anonymity to claim mighty weapons with direct links to the power of the elemental princes..." and so on. I can't imagine a player's enjoyment would be diminished from knowing this... if anything, it should get them excited to find out more.

@@alanmacpherson Ahhh thats a fair perspective aye! Just different ways of doing thigs I suppose, personally I wouldn't show them the back of the book, even!
I run online, but if I was running in person again, I would probably even make a book cover to hide what book I was using until some dramatically appropriate moment, but thats probably on the extreme end lol.

I like for the players to know the purpose of the adventure. Their player character would not know that information.

@Alan MacPherson my tier 4 camp is going to be Rise of Tiamat. Obviously modified but I didn’t know if you were interested in doing HotDQ/RoDQ. I won’t be doing HotDQ but these introductions are an incredible asset to the community.

Oof! heavy spoilers about the cults taking over abandoned fortresses in the sumber hills, thats better kept as a suprise when the PCs find one of these forts and they are not sure its the cult in there or a genuine peaceful faction. Like the feathergale society for example.
