I was a happy little Christian until Trump started being preached from the pulpit. I taught Sunday School and looked forward to summer VBS. I left church. I believe Jesus was just as liberal as me. I believe in kindness and love. I will continue to walk my journey being a loving person. I don't think I'm alone in leaving church because their views changed from love to hate. I think churches should be taxed. And I thank you for calling this out!

As everyone should know, The majority of Democrats are Christians. My grandparents(RIP) were some of the most conservative people I knew. They were against gay marriage, against abortion, and believed that we were a Christian nation. However, they were registered Democrats. I don't how many times I heard them say, "When Reps are in charge, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer all while they shove their religion down our throats." You see, my grandparents, like most Dems, understand the difference between having/holding one's own personal beliefs and convictions versus forces those on others. They were also huge believers in freedom of religion, but most importantly, freedom from religion(and they taught me these values). Those values cannot be found in the Republican Party.
