After further screwing around, there is no hose, there is only a foam gasket sandwiched between the plastic part of the heat/ac unit and the floor board, the gasket has degraded and now it's leaking, not a great design Chrysler, it did last for 25 years however...
Thanks for the Eyes On video. I just bought one of those with 170K on it. No sign of past water, but I'm girding my loins for future issues. They're great rigs, but do have idiosyncrasies.
All right guys this problem is a little easier to fix than that I have a video on the subject and I think I'm getting ready to redo the video. That drain goes into the frame rail and only sticks out about an inch and a half to 2 inches it's just a plastic tube and the wind coming through the frame rail blows the water back against the firewall that's way it leaks down. Show me my previous video I drained a 2 inch hole in the top of the frame rail and with a pair of needlenose pliers are reached in with a longer piece of rubber tubing and slipped it over the end of that plastic tube coming out making it longer where it drips down farther into the frame rail does it doesn't blow back against the firewall and leak into the passenger side floor. I'm just now doing another one and this time I pulled the front tire off and drilled into the side of the frame rail little easier than removing everything to get to the top.
This is where the tube is, btw, by front passenger tire..... ua-cam.com/video/iP3Za3WeKSo/v-deo.html
Thanks! I pinned your comment!

I have a 98 also with this problem. I don't have that hole in the same spot. Any suggestions on how to drain...
See the "pinned comment" please, it explains everything, way better than I did. I drilled my hole there FYI.

You don’t know, don’t pretend you know.
Please enlighten all of us
So how do you stop it?
I have another video where i use a putty to replace the degraded foam gasket, after picking it out piece by piece, that last part is important.
