Glad he's okay - this made me break down a little bit man. Thought about my son and he's only 4. Got a passion for racing and cars already though he's ALWAYS with me in the garage... I want him to be in the sport but more than that I want him to be safe. You're a great dad Brent, fix it and get back out there, Shane!
Yes but this shouldn’t have happened the welds didn’t have the penetration necessary to be structural. It’s lucky he only hit the wall doing 20 not at the top end or when he was going down the highway … if your not 1000% confident in your welding pay somebody else especially on structural members
@@zaceryhammond1144 they were manufactured arms. We will definitely show them
What happened
@@zaceryhammond1144 if you followed PFI you would know that those weren't built by them. Their fab guy Shawn W is a master at his craft and I would love to see Shawn build a set of solid looking and safer arms for Shane's car. 🤙
@@PFIBrent fuck ah that’s a sketchy one i definitely would be sending them a letter with a couple photos …
There’s only one thing to do now tho get out there and build yourself something better!
@@123blarson I don’t doubt they can build stronger ones … but it just shouldn’t have happened to begin with like that’s a huge liability problem for the manufacturer
I’m not saying they suck at welding either just this is a great tool to show what happens when welds are sub par… and that’s why you want somebody with experience doing anything structural….
I’ll weld a new floor in my truck or weld up a bracket for a light but If it’s structural get the guy with the time on the tools to do it ya know
"We could build an automatic anything with a V8 anything and just click off times [...] the struggle is just better"
Exactly why I watch this channel. Never stop doing what you do.
I felt this
Man this video has me feeling emotional. The love Brent has for his son and their passion for racing is something special
I know man when he showed the pictures shit made me tear up. Reminded me when my brother hit the wall in the car we all worked on together
@@sanantonionolimitrcracing same here. Lost my dad at 15
Sometimes you fall before you fly. He was so ready to pull the trans out on the side of the highway when the selector left the chat. The kid has no quit in him man and it's all because of you Brent. It's gonna feel so good when that thing cracks into the 8's like we all know it can. Love you guys, never quit pushing.
This was really wholesome. I wish i had this kind of relationship with my father growing up. Especially as a teenager and young adult getting into automotive stuff as a hobby. You guys are great.
Same here....
sitting here with a tear in my eye. Knowing how Goofy feels. 4 years of hard word. But the main thing is you are safe and unharmed. The car can and will be rebuilt. Good luck Goof and Brent. And God Bless you both.
This upset me too, but I'm glad he's safe. Luckily he has people around him like Shawn who could probably tube the front end if needed.
Amen
Hey PFI , You bought tears to my eyes today, I remember my days with my dad (RIP -17//8/2021) at the tracks here in Trinidad. Now I've given my 15 year old son my race car and he's debut is this week end, both at the drags & circuit. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Keep it up.
Rest in peace
I've been waiting for this upload. I'm glad Shane is okay, and thankfully the car can be fixed.
The slow-mo was insane!!!
@@jeffreyduncan989 hell yeah it was.
Brent...the fade to black and the old family pics destroyed me, made me cry. Youre a great father, from one to another, love you man! Keep makin memories my friend, we only get 1 go around!
Brent is such a wholesome guy, he cares so much for his son that he puts the family photos in videos
he used his son as clickbait in fact LOL
@@robm5008 if i was proud ((of a son) i don't have)) i'd do the same. I may be wrong, but i don't think Brent is the one willing to push that tuna can 500% beyond the limits.
I wouldn't be surprised if this trashy looking kid ends up driving top fuel dragsters in a few decades. And still looking trashy :)™
The slo-mo shot looked like Lighting McQueen trying to crawl across the finish line. Glad he was ok!
reallly this is what is seee tooo :) so funny but not really glad is okay heheh
lmao fr
came here to say this exact thing
I can't unsee this, thanks
Now that's funny
Man, thank goodness that happened at the beginning at a lower speed. Glad you’re okay, Goofy!
brent, you are an awesome dad, boss, friend and generally just a great human being. good job goofy, you guys rock.
Goofy is a class act. Glad he's ok and that the car won't take too much work to get back out.
First thing. I’m glad goof is safe and not hurt in anyway. Bro I’m in tears right now. We all know how hard he worked. Man it’s eating me up. As a father I know you have to be so proud.
I was so bummed when Shane went into the wall. We walked by as they were in the lanes and my son loved seeing his car. Was super cool to see you guys irl. Awesome work and determination to get it done.
Also, really glad Shane was alright.
My heart sank also when I saw it live! All the hard work and perseverance for that to happen was sad but we all know he will be back better than ever with a great dad like you Brent!
to have a father like you Brent! ill be honored! the love and care you have for your family and friends shines bright mate! you a good gent mate! Your smile and laugh often makes my day! thanks mate!
These dads are very rear, I had one, Fathers out there should take a hint. I crashed my dads race car & the family car and to this day (may he rest in Pease) he said nothing .
@@hareshnanan5569 my father is my everything as well as my mother! i hold him so close to me. your father is with you every step of the way mate!
This is what racing is. So cool as a father son team for sick week. Awesome
Damnit Brent, making a grown ass man tear up over strangers! I’m so happy your boy is ok, idk what’d I feel if it was my son, or hell my father. Thank y’all for the entertainment you provide and i wish y’all nothing but the best. Cokes on me if our paths ever cross bub.
I’m glad no one got hurt, I really enjoy goof’s positive attitude during sick week. Thank God the crash wasn’t at the big end of the track. Everything is repairable ( except Jamie’s block) keep faith and positive PFI!!! God Speed 🇺🇸💥
With as clean as that block broke, I bet you could weld it up enough to run again. Not fast, not under boost, but run.
@@jasonm3109 The only other time I've seen a motor break like that was a diesel on the dyno in a hp competition running massive compound turbo's, probably running at least 80 psi as well as nitrous. I think it ran about 2500 hp before blowing up, rods, pistons and chunks or the block flew everywhere!
Love seeing Gordo on the channel. He's a kick in the pants for sure. Nice to see younger blood keeping the racing spirit alive. I'm glad Shane's ok after the crash mishap. He will get it next time.
The determination you and your son have is inspirational man
Poor guy. Shane seems like a good dude and just can’t catch a break. At least he’s ok and has Brent in his corner.
Oh man The cut to child hood pictures was great!
Shane should get a new T-shirt going and We’ll all get one!
Good shots Gordo the slo-mo was awesome!
Glad Goofy is ok. The kid is all heart with no quit. You raised him right. I'm sure we'll be seeing the CRX again no doubt. Mad respect for both of you.
it could have been a LOT worse, imagine if he had broken them at speeds! Glad to see he is OK! He will rebuild it, Lessons learned, and you will come back stronger than before!
The family photos broke me up, bro.
Glad he’s okay and that the car can be fixed.
Glad Shane wasn't hurt physically. That was a lot of learning in one week. Car can only get better and Shane had so much more experience from this week.
I can't tell ya how proud I am of ya Shane! And all the pfi Boyz! The never give up that you Boyz display is hand in hand the same Honda reliability we all know an love. First sick week/race week. And you Boyz put your all into it... keep grinding cause we can't wait to see what's next! Big love from Canada 🇨🇦
Damn Brett. As a father, you got me tearing up with the photos of your son as a baby after he hit the wall.
So brutal for you to see that, but how great for you to be there to support your son.
❤🖤❤
You’re the man Brent. You know you’ve done a great job with how Goofy has already persevered and will continue to do so! Just a minor bump in the road for the PFI fam. Keep rockin!
I was at a loss of words. You two are unstoppable!!!!! Pure determination! Pure motivation!!!!! Love your style!!!!
Brent your close out emotion is why I love your channel so much. For me to come to sick week from the UK and have an absolutely unforgettable time with everyone was only possible because I lost my dad 4 years ago. I finally got his estate finalised last year not much before sick week was announced and when it was I knew I going to come, make it first visit to the states and do something for me to remember forever.
You and Shane were one of many father son teams I met and honestly seeing these partnerships, these family bonds makes me so humble and it helps in a way with my lose. I was only 33 when he died and we should have had way more time together. He met my daughter but never met my son (their 5 and 2 now) and these stories just show me how to be with them and how I want my relationship with my kids to be when they grow up.
Much love to you guys and hopefully I can make a rocky mountain race week one day with my family in tow.
Ps I was the guy in the union Jack shirt Friday asking about ya proud dad moments
Watching you and your son is amazing. I can only imagine how you felt when he hit the wall. I have loved watching the two of you bond. I've had to call my dad just to tell him I love him after watching the two of you. What you have with your kids is amazing. Cherish it!
Same here has to call my pops just to let him know. Good job Brent y’all had a rough week but knowing you guys you will come back better then ever!
First question everyone has “are you alright Shane”? Everybody loves and respects this young man. Carry on Shane.
I've got a whole new respect for Shane after this week.
he really inherited or was taught his father's work ethic and positive outlook
Man after watching you two's journey on this event has made me and my pops switch our hotrod passion to drag and drive. He's building his truck and I'm getting my car street legal. Your positivity and passion are so infectious that it changes the world around you. Never stop being who you are and doing what you do. I'm forever a fan.
Man when those old picture came up my eyes starting to tear up ! I am glad that Shane is okay that car is replaceble but hes not.
Can I like this video twice? You guys are awesome. You have a amazing bunch of guys, and an amazing fan base. Quit isnt a thing.
I watched it live and my heart fell to the floor when I saw it, I'm so glad that it wasn't any worse than what happened. Brent you are a great father always supporting your kids. Shane keep going, build it stronger and safer and push that CRX to the limit, Jamie we will see that Civic make a great hit there is always another drag and drive event.
Damn, I was not ready for that montage.. Hit me right in the feels.
Brent !! If you read this. I don’t know how you keep going. I wish you the best and for a smooth next drag and drive.
Don’t give up!! Good things will come!!
You proved yourselves and the car well. Nothing to look down on, can only go up from here and a lot to look on the bright side. Will say well done on the strut tower bracing, don't think a stock crx would of taken it so well and the doors still close. I blame the new clutch lmao old one slipped the v out of tec and he gave it all the beans on that launch. Keep it up and want to see you 2 do another
What a week! Trials and tribulation either brake you or bring you closer together.
So happy Shane is ok!!! You can feel the love of a father and his son, love the good spirit Shane has about the whole situation. "Keep up the great work, Shane. You will back to racing before you know it"
“Alright son I love you”
The bond Brent has with Shane unbeatable!!!
I was watching this on the live stream when it happened. Glad he’s ok. He’s worked super hard to get where he’s at. Don’t give up now Goofy! Get her fixed up and she will be a rocket! 🤙🏻🏁🇺🇸🦅
Awesome team, nothing better than a father son team who never give up! You guys will carry these stories forever! Who else can say "my father and I pulled the engine out of my car and rebuilt it overnight and raced it the next day"! So cool
Yep, brand new setup... you get that sometimes, not just an off-the-shelf parts drop in replacement.
It’s crazy how you watch someone on UA-cam for a few years and the passion for racing and teamwork makes you feel like fam. Keep up the great work.
brent watching you and your son at the end literally made me cry brother. my son is 2 years old rn man and i cant wait to be that amazing father that you are. keep it up papa much love from texas.
@Rico Sands, no need to wait, you are in your son's life making that impact. That alone makes you a good father. The fact you said you can't wait to be that amazing father, makes you the amazing father. God bless you brother. 🙏
@@c-dubmediallc4933 wow!!!! thank you very much for this message and it really means a lot to me. much love to you and may god continue to bless you with many days to come
Man us dad's don't hear it enough that we are doing a good job. I'm a single father and have 3 of my own. I have full custody of my oldest son and get my other 2 every weekend. I pay my child support and do what I can to raise them right. Just lost my job almost 2 weeks ago and just took the drug test yesterday for my hopefully final career. 40 years old and struggling to make ends meet. Hopefully I will hear back and start my new forklift position Monday. So much to be depressed over but my kids keep me going. But anyways you're welcome bro. Wish the best for your family man.
I'm glad it didn't happen while going any faster! Love the teams and the father/son relationship. Been a long time follower, never comment but figured it be appropriate to drop a good word. Keep at it!
Yo Shane and Brent worked there asses off this week. No doubt the hardest working crew on sick week. Good job Shane no matter what happened. I love pfi speed. Shane don’t sweat it bro you’re safe and have the ability to go back out. A lot of racers don’t have that
Goofy absolutely rocks. He puts so much time into everything he does, frequently has bad luck, but I have NEVER once see him angry or sad.
He just keeps smiling. Man I love it
The hot rodding spirit is strong in BOTH generations! Jamie, Shane and Brent (and the rest of the PFI fam) keep it up! Enjoyed watching the videos and the feels that went on during the whole week.
My heart goes out to you n goofy !!! It literally stopped this weekend when i saw this happen, ive been following this build closely the last two yrs !!!! Love everything you guys do and so glad he is good to go !!! See you bouncing back soon !!!
I'm so glad Shane is okay, I felt this in my soul watching the entire build just to see you guys get so far! Just look at it as another chance to build her back even better!
The people who came and gave a hand to the man who helps everyone, I thank them all.
No no no no! So grateful it was low speed early track. As far as drag crashes go, this is about as nice as you can hope for. So glad Shane is okay! That slow speed shot is crazy. Looks like an old school cartoon. Not a great way to end the week, but ending the week in good health is mighty fine. Great effort guys. Proud of y'all.
I'm glad he's alright as well. Brent has always put out some wicked heartfelt videos. Thank you
It’s heartbreaking to see this happen after all the work you guys did all week. But thankfully at the end of the day Goofy is alright and cars can be rebuilt stronger than before.
Glad he's okay. Well, now you know what's weak and what needs to be rebuilt stronger for next time. Y'all know the drill
A lot of love in this footage , well done to the PFI team. Bigger and better next time.
Thanks Brent for the wonderful culture at PFI . You and Shane take this little Honda on Sick Week and Finishing AWESOME. My heart goes out to Jamie Who Rebuilt and had a Second failure.
Love how you guys push the envelope break and come back better. Thank goodness Shane is OK. Many thanks to all those doing there absolute best to help load Shane's Car. There is nothing like the Drag Racing world especially on these drag and drive events. Dazza watching from Australia
Just breaks my heart dawg because Shane worked so hard fall the past years. But I know he is going to come back harder 💪🏽
I felt so bad for Goofy and you when that car hooked into the wall. I'm glad he wasn't hurt and that it didn't do it at 150 mph. Look forward to seeing it fixed. The car is lucky to have such a great work ethic aimed at it.
Can't wait to do one of these with my kiddo. He's 11. Will be building a drag car soon. You both are an inspiration to us all, glad he's ok. Keep it up gents!
Damn , either way what doesn’t kill is makes us stronger and glad he’s ok , great work either way and a definite inspiration to people everywhere for sure , I work with my Son every day and love every single minute I get .even when it’s tougher then usual and we disagree I’m thankful to have that opportunity
Brent We all No That's not what we wanted to see. He's Safe And anything can be Fixed! He is Smart, Hard working and has Amazing Drive! A lot of us Love You Man Even know you got no Clue who we are. That CRX is such a Bad ass Car!
We're all so proud of your guys drive, determination and just all around amazing attitudes!! I can't wait for 2022 right alongside you!
Shane has a lot of heart and ambition so there’s nothing that can stop him! The whole pfi family is the best inspiration for any car person. Keep it up guys and thanks for the awesome content.
Brent it was so good to finally meet you in GA. Like I said you have such a positive attitude no matter what comes your way. I’m glad Shane was safe after that impact. You are an inspiration sir!
You can rebuild that crx but you can't rebuild goofy your still a champ in our eyes
There is nothing more pleasurable than watching people who are passionate and determined to do what they love. Make things happen with whatever they have to work with, and figure it out on the fly. Kudos to dad for raising a son that doesnt wait around for dad to figure it out for him. Love the content
Yeah that was a super unfortunate end to a long week a very expensive long week but at least you never gave up and showed people what You're made of again.. I'm sure you'll have it up and going in no time glad to see Shane was still in good spirits on 1320's video after
Thankfully he's ok. As a father, my heart sank when I first saw this happen.
Y’all don’t know how to quit. It’s inspiring. Keep it up keep grinding.
Of all Sick Week'ers, the whole PFI team have invested the most work and passion into this week! You are my heroes!
So glad goofy is alright. The passion you guys have for this sport is SECOND TO NONE.
I watched that happen on the livestream that day and my heart sank. Can't imagine how Goofy or Brent felt. Glad everyone is okay.
I'm glad you're okay, Shane!! I can't wait to see what you'll come up with for the replacement control arm / steering geometry.
Don't forget to relax for a bit; ya'll've been going hard
Brent hasn’t had 1 drag and drive go smooth. I don’t think he’s enjoyed one yet.
Always working threw the night.
Brent deserves an award for Best Co-Pilot!!
Jamie don’t get a break either. That man has dedication.
Goofy is a good kid. Very dedicated.
He Needs more track time and a slipper if possible. I wanted to see that kid do well. He’s worked hard.
If theres one thing you could never call brent, you could never call him a quitter thats for sure.
Heart sank when I saw the vid title. Goofy is fun to watch and your relationship with your son is enviable. Keep on keepin on brother's. On to the next chapter of the crx I hope.
As some who lost his dad, and now a new father.... this video got me. Brent you are such a solid dude!!
Everyone go buy GoofyBuilt merch and help this man rebuild 💙
I love father and son duos, gives me hope for my son and I doing the same. Glad you’re safe Goof! Much love to all y’all ❤️❤️❤️
He’s such an amazing dad!!!
Glad Goofy is ok, but you got to teach the boy that he does not have to say "Gee Dad, Jamie broke pretty hard, here hold my Coke!" Love you guys.
This is what it is all about. The love is real with this sport. People help out where they can. Love it! Glad you are okay Shane, you will make this car come back better than ever.
We’ll hot damn! Thank god that happened at the front half, So glad your okay Shane! Shit happens bro you held on and did all you could in this situation. Time to re group, fix it and get back after it! Glad your good kid!
Keep grinding goofy! It’s all gonna pay off soon!
We’re so glad that Goofy is okay, I’m so sorry that happened but a car can be fixed. Y’all did a great job during sick week!
Time to fix and race again! Love the channel!!!
Tom Bailey, didn't finish Sick Week.
Dave Schroeder, didn't finish Sick Week.
Shane, broke the beams, and finished Sick Week!
Perseverance pays off. Well done guys.

You guys make a great team.come back stronger and faster what a epic week LETS GOOOOOOOO
Seriously Brent is something else, he’s just an incredibly smart man whose built an amazing business, he’s an unbelievably caring and wonderful dad, you don’t come across people like him often but damn are we all lucky to have him bring joy and positivity to all our lives
