This moment showed her courage even more than the actual competition. There she was just relying on her training and focusing on what she had to do, here she must have felt almost overwhelmed by emotions and yet she decided to share this beautiful tribute to her mom with the world. Thanks Joannie
I remember her amazing routines at the 2010 olympics. I thought her medal was well deserved, not only for her excellence but for her strength of body, strength of mind and strength of character. Joannie had it all. Not sure if any other skater could have performed under so much pressure and emotional stress. Her mother would be so proud. I have many favourite skating routines that go all the way back to Toller Cranston, loved his creativity but my favourite was Joannie’s Stars On Ice routine to My Immortal. A beautiful tribute to her Mom.
this song is absolutly...breathtaking...i know it was translated...but...words in french...lot more deep ...joanie did...what not so many could have done...
Unfortunatelly, her bronze medal was because of her sad story and becauseolympics were in Canada. Nagasu or Ando had better performances. She didn't deserve that.
Ando wasn’t better. She underrotated 3-3 in short program and did not delivered enough speed in free program. Also her second lutz in free was also underrotated.
@Magsalena Kapuścińska One thing that I really want to say to you is that Your heart is not okay at all. It's all broken all parts with your negative energy. Also both Ando and Nagasu were not deserved to be on podium.... They were already way behind to Joannie's Score after short program.

Considering that she performed this just after the death of her mother, this performance is absolutely breathtaking.
I agree..

weeping -- she created this song for a skating friend who had died in 2006 and now she skates it for her mother
not only that but apparently her mother helped her pick the song back in 2005 / 2006
Exactly my thougths. She is queen!
She didnt create the song she made up a dance! The songs over 20 years old now and by Celine Dion
@@cragerzz obviously, I made a typo, you knew what I meant
I still consider this a truly Golden moment for all of Canada at regardless of Joannie winning the bronze medal. ❤🇨🇦 🍁
Iconic moment... Moving. She was in absolute shock.

I wish some day they'll put The Power Of Love for a couple performance in love ❤
Favorite performance to music was Debi Thomas' short program at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary.

sorciere They were already behind Rochette by 5-10 points after the short. The short program counts to the score.
Haikal Danial Yes, but I think SP was overscored too.
Ando wasn’t better. She underrotated 3-3 in short program and did not delivered enough speed in free program. Also her second lutz in free was also underrotated.
