I'm sorry, what has Luka won? That's right, nothing, and just got spanked 4-1 in the Finals by the guy you claim is a tier below him.... Even though his defense is embarrassing half the time or more. Just more NBA fans showing how little they know about the game. Luka ain't winning shit...
He’s hated because it’s not often a superstar wins a championship in a shooting slump. It never happens. We’re used to superstars winning, but basketball is a team sport and the Celtics understand that. It’s not Tatum’s fault he’s in an untalented conference with a great team around him.
99% of the Tatum hate is provoked by the relentless Tatum stans and the Boston Media Mafia. The other 1% isn't even hate, it's just people pointing out the actual fact that he isn't an MVP level player.
Why do you need to be an MVP when you already arguably have the best team assembled? I'd rather take a team that can all play in a super star level than an individual MVP player.
as a Celtics fan Tatum takes ugly 3's and isn't that much of a "playmaker", but also for being a score first guy his finishing isn't as good as it should be
This, 100%. It's amazing how often people put Luka in front of him, even though he is a complete defensive liability and the Celtics just torched him. If anyone can name the last "top 5" player who was literally hunted on the defensive end by the opponent, I'd like to know who that is. You gotta play both sides in this league, and defense still wins championships...
@@deathmachineyt3254 keep telling yourself that while he gets cooked over and over... And over again. Basketball requires you to play defense to be elite. Buh-bye...
Nah he kinda right tho. They say he’s on a super team to discredit his win, but won’t call him a superstar. How do you get a super team without superstars?
Maybe Steve Kerr hates JT, but the average person doesn't. He just isn't as flashy as Morant or Edwards. He isn't as consistent and impactful as LBJ, KD or Steph. To me, he is just a scorer that can do a bit of everything due to height and handles, who had a super team built around him.
I love Tatum, and even I know he's corny. Could care less, keep stacking the chips and let the ESPN types pick the Mavericks to win😂😂😂. That was one of the easiest picks in finals history, complete and total mismatch and they just couldn't help kissing Luka and Kyrie's azz. They can have the "cool", I'll take the rings...
the fact that he won the ring easily is not an argument anymore cuz he beat mavs in 5 and he only didn't qualified to conference finals 2 times in his 6 years.Meanwhile, embiid also had good teams throughout his career and never made it to conference finals. The only way to calm down the haters is gettin old like steph when he won in 2015 but ppl said it was a fake ring and they started hatin him till 2022
Seems ridiculously manufactured and he copied KG. The dude wants to be every other player but himself. He's incredibly talented, no dount. But he just needs to be himself. By copying so maymmy other players he isn't creating his own legacy. He will forever be compared to JB. The shitty part is he really can't do more to help his legacy. He can't win without porzingis, jrue and white. It's always been proven, so even if he wins more rings, those guys are on the team. He already won golds in the Olympics. He won't win mvp because he isn't good enough. He won't win dpoy because he isn't good enough. And he's already proven he isn't the leader on the team. And his fake expressions are too obvious, it was very clear he was pissed he didn't win fmvp...meanwhile steph was nothing but ecstatic when iggy or KD won it. This is Tatums peak...and he is far below any other player with potential goat status.
@@ThisChangeIsAwful the one authentic moment he had where he was holding deuce with the confetti felt natural and was actually iconic all his other stuff was just lame and corny

Most people hating on Tatum can’t even give you a legit reason as to why they hate him. He's evolved and is going to keep evolving. Everybody who was on their way to stardom was hated. I hated Mike, Kobe, and Bron but they all evolved into players I respect
Celtics aren't a superteam, but they are the 2014 Spurs had actually talented players. So basically the perfect team, I'd argue significantly better than a superteam. Imagine if prime Lebron had this roster, he'd win every year easily
Every single GM in the Nba would take JT and build around him over so many beloved players in this league. JT overall resume trump any and everybody in his generations. So what's are we talking about here. All this youngman has done is win. As i said the Nba has devalue winning to a point that I don't why they keep score.
Facts. There are legit only 3-4 players with a better resume in the league right now. He has accomplished way more than all these other players who are "cool" and "liked" and that's with taking away what he did this year alone. But I love seeing the hate but you can't hate your way into your favs being better than him
I don’t think he’s a superstar either, but I don’t throw that term around lightly. I call a superstar a player that can be a true number one on a championship team, which despite them winning it this year, Tatum shows no signs of being that guy. Additionally, I get super irritated when fans and media try to lump him in with the likes of Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, and Luka when he’s not even close to them in my book. Just because the guy got drafted into one of the best situations in the NBA and has had a winning roster since day 1 don’t mean shit. At no point do I watch Tatum play and think to myself “that’s him, he’s one of the top 5 players in the league”, I find myself getting more frustrated watching him play than anything.
Is JT the best player on the 2024 Celtics? No question. But individually, he's clearly a tier below the upper echelon guys (Joker, Luka, SGA, and Giannis). The Cs front office deserves a ton of praise for identifying what they had and surrounding him with the pieces necessary for the team to keep winning even if their top guys don't have it.
As a lifelong C’s fan, I have no doubts. He plays within the team, plays solid defense and is a versatile defender, rebounds well and can be a playmaker. His shot selection can definitely improve, but he’s a top 10 talent who can and has dropped 49 and 50 in win or go home games while also being able to switch onto centers for an entire series and effectively take away one of Dallas’ primary weapons (the lob). Don’t believe the hype around the Ant Edwards, Ja Morants and even Luka’s of the world who contributes 0 on defense, Tatum is a championship player and has proven so since he’s been in the league.
What’s wrong with him being fan of different NBA greats like you talking about he switched up on players but if you really look at his game, he idolize his game after all of those players he you just name so what you’re saying is not making sense at all 😂💯
As a Celtics fan I’ve always said he needs to get tf off social media. Bro posts on Snapchat like daily. Still love him tho you can just tell he sees the stuff said about him and it affects his shot. Everything else stays solid tho
Fk them. Basketball media can be so trash. When KD left to the warriors, haters crucified the man for taking the easy route despite being courted by the defending NBA Champions. Lebron would have joined if he was offered and haters would say its cool, its goat James. The pressure on Tatum and Brown to win was growing and they did it. What the heck do people still want?
I find it funny that people call it “the easiest playoff run” but in reality does that even matter… all the teams were in the playoffs what did you expect for them to do lose on purpose?! If they struggled they would trash on him for it being tough because it was easy, but now they say it wasn’t a real run because it was “too easy” 😂 this whole take is trash
The Jay's are thru the Russell treatment from the past. It's not a hate on them personally it's the hate because of who they play for, and where they play.
Majority of your talking points are based on Twitter discussion, please be for real. Acting as if he didn’t lead his team in points, rebounds and assists to win the chip is insane. Using his lackluster shooting as a reason to get benched in the Olympics? When he didn’t even get consistent playing minutes in the first place without a definitive role to boot.

The white guy’s reasoning for Tatum being a superstar is the equivalent of saying: “if you make a great album, you’re a superstar music artist.” We all know that you can make the best album in the world, but without FANFARE and RECORD SALES, you are not a entertainment SUPERSTAR. Tatum is NOT a superstar. You must TRANSCEND the sport to where people know you without even knowing what you do for a living. People just know your name. Please. Another maroon claiming "Luka is top 10" when he barely plays any defense. Tatum is an excellent defender, extremely underrated rebounder, and has improved his playmaking greatly. Luka makes cool shots... Awesome. He won't win anything unless he actually gets in shape and bothers to learn to play defense all the time. I'd say three straight All NBA teams with a chip speaks for itself. Yet another NBA "fan" with little to no idea what wins and what is good basketball...
Too many years of Celtics contending since he was drafted, and he has lost MANY series his team was favorites in. So them finally getting it done after adding even more help like Jrue and KP, you better win. If they lost, people would never take the Celtics seriously again
Im just gonna give my take on this stuff, and im not trying to start a fight. Just my way of viewing him Mainly why i believe people can get towards this level of hate i believe are his toxic asf fans that just love starting fights in comments sections all throughout social media saying "hes robbed off the MVP race" while all i see in games is this tatum guy calling an iso all the time and ending the possesion on an ugly missed shot, and being inconsistent af throughout the season. Like some fans just turn a blind eye to that and think of tatum as a very impactful player that can score on any given possesion. Thats whats bad about social media because they NEVER show lowlights since noone wants to see it but its showing the players truly are apart (Doesnt only apply to Tatum) Second reason is that he was being corny asf after winning the chip, we can all admit that this was a super easy trip to the finals by the celtics since they went against teams without their star player, yes this isnt tatums fault and more of just fate but him screaming we did it was what really elevated my hate toward the player. Him acting like it was a tough fight for the chip is really embarrasing, hes just doing too much with the celebrations. Yes he can celebrate but hes just doing too much, we don't see Jaylen Brown or any other celtic doing this much. Also, what i saw on social media an entire day was just Tatum hogging the larry o brien and i have not seen a video of any other celtic holding it like damn share the achievement, its a team game. Its just giving off feelings that Tatum believes hes the sole reason they won to be hogging the trophy this much or social media just chooses not to share videos of other celitcs. I stand with everything i say so im just waiting for a tatum fan to change my mind cuz i can only see my hate going up from this, i dont want to be 100% negative so i needa get proven wrong

The Bean Town maffia is already invading this comment section. Tatum is a great player, but he has the most help of any player in the league, he plays for a huge market and gets overrated constantly by his own city. If everyone just recognized that he’s like in the 9-14 range of the best players then the hate would be so much less. JB should be handed the keys and Tatum should be the robin, that way less focus is on JT which is how he performs at his best.

I’m ngl if Tatum was a bron,MJ or even Tmac Stan I don’t think he’d get the same hate. People tend to switch up Kobe a lot compared to other players

Im just gonna give my take on this stuff, and im not trying to start a fight. Just my way of viewing him
Mainly why i believe people can get towards this level of hate i believe are his toxic asf fans that just love starting fights in comments sections all throughout social media saying "hes robbed off the MVP race" while all i see in games is this tatum guy calling an iso all the time and ending the possesion on an ugly missed shot, and being inconsistent af throughout the season. Like some fans just turn a blind eye to that and think of tatum as a very impactful player that can score on any given possesion. Thats whats bad about social media because they NEVER show lowlights since noone wants to see it but its showing the players truly are apart (Doesnt only apply to Tatum)
Second reason is that he was being corny asf after winning the chip, we can all admit that this was a super easy trip to the finals by the celtics since they went against teams without their star player, yes this isnt tatums fault and more of just fate but him screaming we did it was what really elevated my hate toward the player.

Are we just gonna ignore that in Game 1 prior to Giannis getting hurt that the Bucks were getting blown out? Or that Giannis played major minutes in Game 4, had a triple double and they still didn't win? Or that he played almost the majority of minutes in Game 5 and probably would have extended the series if he didn't MISS SO MANY FREE THROWS. He played 3 of the 5 games that they played and overall was a non factor
I know people wanna give Giannis and the Bucks the benefit of the doubt, but this narrative is so infuriating. As someone who likes the Bucks, I have to say this is just excuses and completely deflects from how Giannis completely choked in the moments that mattered.
The hate started after the bubble vs the miami heat. Thats the year he broke out and ppl started hating the Celtics after the kyrie fallout. They was hating hard ever since. They was laughing and mocking us and danny for the whole debacle
It ain’t that deep tbh, I just think he corny for the copying other ppl words and pics but far as basketball goes Kobe did the same with MJ and nobody cared just gassed him up so it’s not really fair tbh, Kobe was a legit MJ clone..mannerisms and all but I don’t fw Tatum because he always fucked up my parlays 😂
Lol, an honest answer finally! I'm a fan, and even I think he's corny as hell. Whatever, chips are what counts in this league...
@@randylahey8207 I’m not really a fan of too many modern starts except Steph, Joker and Ant also SGA but I think ppl hating on JT is just silly because like I said Kobe did it with MJ so did Lebron but nobody cares so why hate on JT? That we did it shit was hella cringe tho 😂
Bro it be crazy that y’all saying that he’s trying to copy other NBA players championship celebration but yall just as corny to for trying to drag it as far as y’all can because at the end of the day dude just won his first championship. He’s like the least problematic NBA player in the league. He Stay out the way and getting his bag but that corny too yall 😂💯
The tb to IHE had me laughing 🤣
It's hilarious how often people go to someone like Ja Morant as "top 10" and not Tatum. Ja's made ONE conference final, and hasn't finished the last three years. Tom Brady's line says it all: the greatest ability is availability. If you're not even on the court, how good are you exactly?
Ya say Tatum is corny when he really is just a chill family dude he doesn’t even do too much talking like the likes of Ant Edwards or Ja Morant he put on the this thug personality ya say he disappears but he’s 5-2 in game 7 & he dropped 51 on Embid head & has two finals at the age of 26 he went to Milwaukee the defending champs & dropped 45 on Giannis head ya say Embid had a better playoff performance this year when Tatum literally led his team in every stat category points rebounds & assist he also avg 30 10 & 6 ECF then when on to drop 30 points game 3 of the finals & closed it out with 30 10 & 8
It’s honestly crazy how Glazon Tatum gets more hate than 2 way slashing cornball miles bridges
3 consecutive ALL NBA FIRST TEAMS is EASILY A SUPERSTAR. ALSO IN ONE SUMMER HE BECAME A NBA CHAMPION AND GOLD MEDALIST.
☘️🇺🇲🏆💍🥇
This foo hasn’t dropped the trophy 🏆 once 😂
Jayson Tatum isn’t a superstar. He has good stats but on average efficiency, he doesn’t have a signature move that he’s actually good at, and he has no personality
You must be white
Idk about not having a signature move. I can’t recall a time I’ve seen him miss when he goes for a sidestep 3
What does personality have to do with being good at basketball
@youdntve it doesn't have anything to do with it, but people do like nba personalities, Boban and Steven Adam's are two people that nba fans like because of their personalities.
@@youdntvenothing but you got better odds gettin a jackpot in vegas than seening jayson tatum have a good game, flip a coin and tatum MIGHT be there
Celtics fans made it worst
Tatum: I'm Larry Hughes nephew 😂
the celtics def a superteam, but its okay for them 'cause the two homegrown stars are the centerpiece. neither had to take a backseat or ride the coattails due to newcomers. jrue and kp took em to another level fasho, but the celtics are a really good team wit just the jays. they stay true and it paid off. people just seem to not like seeing successful people be proud of themselves and what/who inspired them. i dont understand that
