Bro, I hated, HATED the crew 2, I never played the crew, but to slander this game is just nonsense. I didn't even want to like this game, shoot, I love NFS games. But this game, is dope, it isn't perfect by any means BUT it is an entertaining, fun and new game that I'm enjoying. Just my opinion.
You can race the cars you own in playlists after you complete them. In fact, it's a requirement for progression later in the game. You should amend this information.
3:12 You're not using brakes because you have many assists enabled, such as ESP which triggers breaks at his own will. See the ixon flashing on turns? That's it.
You have to beat the playlist first to race your own cars
I actually think this is a better game than Forza, but not by much. The moment I saw a lambo driving offroad in Forza, it killed any hopes I had for the game, I still continued to play it simply because there isnt anything else. At least in The Crew you turn into an offroad vehicle as soon as the dirt starts.
I literally bought an Xbox for Forza Horizon and played both 4 and 5. I'm enjoying this game more than either. The setting is a big factor for me. Hawaii is so much better than Scotland or Mexico. Other than that, the games feel very similar to me and Motorfest just has way better vibes.

I played the crew 2 and they let me transfer over 100 cars... have yet to be able to use any in race
It’s hands down my biggest issue with the game. I can’t wrap my head around not being able to use the cars you own. Do you enjoy it more than The Crew 2?

Once you beat the Playlist you can go back and click the top right box to select your own car for that class.

Finally an honest review I've had multiple friends tell me the handling is below sub par, nothing against arcade racers physics but motorfest's just looks awful swear these other youtubers must be on ubisofts payroll
1. I don't care that they copied Forza Horizon. If anything, I like that. This gives competition and puts pressure on Forza and other companies to step up their games.
2. I have to play more before I can say the cars handle the same. If true, I agree with you.
3. I like the Netflix style menus. That said, I agree that we should be able to use our own cars more. That said, it does introduce you to other cars you may have never used, and you do get to use your own car when you replay playlists.
4. I'm enjoying the races pretty thoroughly and like that the races are pretty straightforward. Forza Horizon is very similar from my experience.
I just think you're overly harsh on way too many aspects of the game and you seem to be driven by anger that they copied Forza more than anything.
Imo, it's been more fun the Forza, even if there are SOME aspects of Forza that I miss, such as properties and car auctions. To each their own.
I was 50/50 between buying it or not, you helped me made my mind, I’ll invest in something better, thanks a lot bro!

If u like arcade and the ide of Forza horizon, buy it , its like a mix of need for speed and Forza i have played all Forza some need for speed and all the crew and i love the crew motorfest 😊 i hope u enjoy it if u buy it !!

Forza Horizon: Test Drive Unlimited Edition.
So because it's in hawaii, it's a clone of forza? And yet the people who developed the crew motorfest are the people who developed the test drive games, which is based in hawaii, so who's copying who? Other than that, i agree. Im disappointed in the playlists forcing me to use loaned cars rather than making me earn the credits to purchase vehicles that fit within the perameters of a playlist. Handling is off. I personally didn't have any issues with the way the cars drove in the crew 2, granted they all drove the same to the point a ford raptor handled like a lambo, somewhat forgivable for an arcade racer! Its week 2 of motorfest and if we compare the crew 2s lifespan its almost guranteed to get better with each update.
This game is fire tho! loving every second of it!

I've played all the forza and need for speed games and the crew and i can say that motorfest is super good there's a lot to do, and the cars in the playlists are good so I don't understand why it bothers you that you can't use them( you can use them the second time you run an event) the graphics and the atmosphere are amazing and if anything it feels like a better forza horizon 5, because forza horizon 5 sucks

I disagree with you on this review I have been enjoying the game it will never stand up to Forza Horizon but there is still some fun to be had
At this point Playground games and Turn 10 Studios could sue Ubisoft because its a blatant copy of FH5... The only difference is that its a boring, limited dogshit compared to FH5...

The car handling is beyond awful. Every car feels dead & like driving a dump truck.
Not even remotely as good as Forza.
Blah blah Forza wanna be they just improved there game so much it surpasses Forza and have some better cars generally. So I’m really confused. And they have alit of cars Forza doesn’t have neither and the graphics are better when it comes to rain like the thunder and the crack sound behind it as well as the day time running lights they added

I do love arcade racers; I was a bit bummed that the boat, plane, and motorbike felt like an afterthought. I think I came in with too high of expectations

Idk why so many praised the handling before this game came out. The physics are terrible. The map is refreshing however, compared to Forza's empty Mexico
There’s some passionate crew fans apparently haha idk why no one is talking about how the cars feel either. Im with you, I do like the map and graphics!
The map is equally as empty feeling as Forza's Mexico. I played the trial and barely ever saw other players... and I run a hardwired internet connection. Friends disappear constantly and then reappear 10 seconds later. Its horrible. I know it's not just me either, people have been mentioning this on reddit and other forums.
@@Boston2Boca I was more-so talking about stuff to look at. Buildings, mountains, trees, etc. In the short time I’ve played Motorfest I’ve seen cities, restaurants, gas stations, wrecked ships and submarines, billboards, an abandoned bus. Meanwhile FH5 has one tiny city, and cornfields. Although as far as player traffic I’m not sure what you mean either. There’s all most too much, often I confuse other players for traffic and swerve out of the way, it’s kind of annoying.
@@RedEquus Those "other players" are just AI racers zooming around making the map seem more alive than it actually is. Motorfest has more things to look at, but considering the graphics aren't as nice, it's not really nice to look at anything. It's too similar to TC2. I just can't believe after 9 years they still can't figure out how to write proper net-code. This player disappearing crap has been happening since Crew 1, 9 years ago.
So FH5 puts out recycled or Chinese car nobody asked.

Bought the game, played it for 30 minutes. The game is lame I am going to try to return it but my receipt from walmart is lost. I paid 70$ what a disappointment.

The first 5 hours are solid but I felt it got a bit repetitive, especially when you can’t race with the cars you own in the playlists

this game just made me want to reinstall forza horizon 5.... it's literally a crappy shallow boring arcade racer and that's it .... and it doesn't even look good
Played the trial and it's a complete knockoff from forza horizon. Most jdm car's are not in the game was surprised that most brands like toyota nissan honda and acura only had like two or three cars. The motorcycle handling is garbage. Customizing a car's tuning is mediocre at best. Ubisoft you tried but couldn't keep up 🫵😂🫵
