Sirils New Tools and Is Bortle 9 Bad Data Worth the Effort?

In today's video. I'm going to show a few of Sirils new tools and post some Bortle 9 NGC 7319 data. Was it worth the effort in time and resources to even try my worst skies? The Bortle 9 city of Buffalo Light Dome to my north.

Jeff -- thanks much for this. Video is so information rich (like the sensor tilt measurement at 23:00 min, and the photometry magset feature, etc.) I watched it twice. I NEVER watch youtubes more than once. Am setting up system to begin narrowband imaging this month -- using your NINA and SIRIL videos to develop my new workflow. All the Best! Dave Stokes

Siril is a great program that is fitting in well with my workflow. Glad you found the video helpfull. There is a new release candidate out which replaces the one used in this video. It fixes the bugs I was having trouble with when trying to use the Color Calibration tool. You should only need to do the Color Calibration once for all color channels regradless of the color channel you are on at the time you applied the tool. In this video you will see that I had to do all 3 color channels to get things working... Siril 1.0.0-RC2 fixes all know issues that I found with the program.

Thanks, Dan Supprised me at how well it came out. Not perfect by any means... But good enough at seeing some good details that I've never seen before.
