You guys have to, HAVE TO, check out the alternate Ave Maria version of this song. They did it as an encore at the same show. Hint; A perfect example of the versatility of our favorite kawaii metal band. Link: ua-cam.com/video/OWggmY2BDhE/v-deo.html
It is likely the mic was Key Kobayashi's (their producer) idea. Su had the mic in the official MV when she was 14. Unlikely at that point she even knew who Freddie Mercury was.
@@outwest1014 I didn't say Su came up with the idea to use it, obviously not, only that it's a mic resembling a Freddie Mercury mic so someone in the Babymetal production team chose it (for the video and later live concerts) for that reason. So, likely Kobametal was the one who wanted to include a Freddie homage for this song.
@@Scyllaya Also the gong part at the end is an homage to the end of Bohemian Rhapsody, so more than a couple things are aimed as homage's to Queen. Now to get Brian May and Roger Taylor to collab with them!!!!
🎉🎊 Happy 23rd Birthday Suzuka Nakamoto a.k.a Queen Suzuka a.k.a Su-Metal...wishing you happiness , great health & wealth...stay safe my queen , stay METAL and stay cute😉 ... KITSUNE UP! 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼... Lots of love from Malaysia 🇯🇵❤️🇲🇾😘
You two are such big Babymetal fans now that I was a bit amazed you haven't done this as a reaction before. I really thought you had! Thanks for doing a Su special for her birthday! Su was 16 in this performance. Bonus points for spotting Pikachu!
In 2010 Nakamoto Suzuka became Su-Metal. Nakamoto has been Su-Metal for nearly half her life. Aside from the fact she is from Hiroshima and has 2 sisters we known little about her private life, which a good thing. Also Kikuchi Moa has been Moametal for nearly half her life. They basically became international Idols at 15/16 in 30 minutes in England. It's just talent, professionalism, and charisma on a very high level. Happy Birthday Nakamoto Suzuka!!
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🤘 You're right that Kami Band guitarist Mikio Fujioka (RIP) was there, along with guitarist Leda Cygnus, with BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. However, this 2013 concert was 7 years ago, not 4. It celebrated Su's 16th birthday. Su was only 12 years old when BABYMETAL started in 2010. They recorded 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' a couple of months before her 13th birthday.
Super happy you both did this reaction. What a great performance and crowd. This was the 2nd time they performed this song that night. They opened the concert with it but it was a techno infuzed hype version of it. Talk about a fun way to get the crowd even more energized. You should check it out. Leave it to BabyMetal to do another version of their own song and make it just as fun. Su lip syncs in it but its all for fun and to hype up the crowd. here is the link. There is a shorter version but I added the one with the entire opening. ua-cam.com/video/mTOU45loQw8/v-deo.html I hope you are feeling better, LVT. Even if you are sick your eyes are still pretty killer :) Happy birthday Su! Take care Mettal Maffia.
If you look at Boh at 7:26 of this video he has 'Happy Birthday' written on the side of his head. This concert was one day after Su's 16th birthday so it was a very appropriate choice. :)
Awesome reaction, guys! Thanks!! Spotting the Pikachu gives more points hehehe... This is from just seven years ago, SU-METAL's 16th birthday and this is absolutely amazing. The whole crowd is super hyped (one of the best crowds I ever seen) and they had a lot of reasons to behave like that... that was a crazy concert, believe me. Appreciate your revision on Suzuka's birthday! See ya!
SU rocking the FREDDY MERCURY style mic stick? The 'ki-e-ro' ( MEANING= DISAPPEAR )crowd chant moment at 5:05 mark of your video still gives me goosebumps every time I watch this video, Made all the more effective as the instruments all come back in. When they played this song at the FORUM in LOS ANGELES 10-11-2019 we went crazy.....And we hit the' ki-e-ro' chant right on que and our queen was smiling with approval.
I like all the love you show to our goddess and Babymetal, I'm gonna subscribe only for this. Keep rocking, stay metal, may the Fox God bless you and Happy Birthday Su-Metal 🥳🎉❤️🦊🤟
Love the channel guys. Big Babymetal fan here love the reactions to Babymetal. My opinion headbanger Sums up this band perfectly. Su's beautiful vocals. The girls killing the choreography. Which is totally inclusive of the crowd. And the band going freaking crazy supporting them. Great work Mafia Nation.
This is yet another video where you get to see Queen Su cast the burning gaze of Alexander the Great, which seems to peer into your very soul. Also, the video is even older than you thought, as it was a celebration of Su-Metal's 16th birthday. Su has been out to conquer the world with her music even longer than ten years. If you want to see some of her excellent pre-BabyMetal performances, you should check the videos by a group called Keren Girl's. Imagine Su the size of Yui or Moa in this video.
Thanks for the vid guys! You should check out Su’s special 15th birthday solo song, “White Love” since it his her birthday today. I think they only did this song one time at ‘Legend D’. Also, there are performances of ‘Headbanger’ where Moa and Yui take over the lead role for the second half of the song. I think the most famous version of this is referred to as ‘Moabanger’ when Moa does ‘Headbanger’ at ‘Legend M’ on her 20th birthday. Moa performs it so well, I seen someone describe her voice during this song as “sounding like a smile”, which is accurate tbh ‘Headbanger’ is one of Babymetal’s earliest, most popular, and most important songs. Anytime you see a neck brace in or at a Babymetal show, it is because of the MV for ‘Headbanger’. It’s a song about a 15 year old girl going to her first Metal concert and basically breaking out of her shell and becoming a proper metalhead as well as ‘breaking the mold’ so to speak.
The brutal double-bass part at 2:49 which impressed you is, interesting enough, an homage to typical/cheesy cliche of Japanese idol pop song. The "bam-ba'bam-WHOO!" can be found in a lot, lot of idol pops, and "WHOO!" is what audience shout and they jump as they shout. BABYMETAL translated this cliche in metal manner, with the crazy double-bass kicks.
Happy Birthday for Su-chan. There are some live versions of Headbanger, but I think this Makuhari Messe live 2013 is the best. Thank you so much, LVT & MAGZ. From Japan. Btw, How about this techno version? ua-cam.com/video/OWggmY2BDhE/v-deo.html
Headbanger is even some kind of birthday song. Lyrics are about a girl who sneaks out from home to spend her 15th birthday first time on a metal concert in order to headbang. There are several epic versions of this song. Really hard to decide the favorite. On their first world tour 2014 Moa and Yui became 15. And on their birthday (Yui in Paris Moa in Cologne) they were allowed to sing 2nd half of the song. Legend S 2017 was Sus becomming of age birthday party and she changed the lines from 15th to 20th birthday (Most epic version ever). The same did Moa on Legend M 2019 when she finished the song on her becoming of age birthday party.
I don't no if you have bean told but this was a special concert for Babymetal, so if you don't no hear is why. *BABYMETAL - LEGEND 1997 APOCALYPSE CONCERT* at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Japan. This concert was on the 21/12/2013, the concert was named (Legend 1997) because that was the year when Suzuka Nakamoto the lead singer was born on the 20/12/1997, so the show is in some way (SU-METAL's 16th birthday party) how did you celebrate your 16th birthday? I cannot remember mine, SU is not going to forget her 16th birthday. The whole show (Legend 1997) is all about BABYMETAL's final transition from being a sub-unit of Sakura Gakuin and J-pop Idols in to an independent and a live performance metal band. The show started with an opening performance with Yui and Moa carrying neck braces to the music of 'Ave Maria', this is telling you who the statue is of at the back of the stage 'Mary Nazareth' (Mary of Nazareth) this opening performance comes to a conclusion when Yui and Moa offer up the neck braces to the statue and descend below the stage, to be replaced bye SU waring a neck brace standing on a plinth that rises half way up the statue, Yui and Moa then reappear back on stage and they go into there first song of the show. That song is a very techno dance remix of 'Headbanger' (Headbanger!! -Night of 15 mix-) but it was not remixed bye a fan Babymetal remixt it, if you ever watch it how you see it is how they performed it on stang, it will all so be very clear that they are lip-syncing and if you don't no anything about the world of pop ldols they nearly allwas lip-sync, now remember this concert is about there transition so this first song was entirely and unashamedly lip-synced to a backing track and they were not trying to hide it, I don't think that Yui or Moa ever tried to pretend they were singing they just smiled danced, and interacted with the fans even when they reappear back on stage at the start of this song the looks on there faces said "we are going to have fun with this", SU no the other hand loves to sing and the look on her face at the start of this song was more like "HO BOY lets get this over with", SU do's lip-sync with the mic but there are times were she moves the mic away and carries on singing and at one part the other dancers lift SU up arms outstretched mic in hand and you can hear her singing but SU's lips are sealed and the look on her face at this point is just saying "REALY", even the band that are on stage with them are fake thay are actors dressed skeleton outfits called (The Babybones) and are pretending to play there instruments. So now you no about the first song what about the rest of the concert and no I not going through each song individually I will put a play list up of them for you, what I will say is that the techno dance remix of 'Headbanger' was the last time you would see SU-Metal, YuiMetal or MoaMetal lip-syncing, for the rest of this concert and every concert that they have done since the girls are singing LIVE, however the rest of this concert was done to backing tracks with The Babybones pretending to play, but the fans went hard at this concert and so did the girls it was one hell of a party that I would have loved to have bean at. Hear is the play list for this concert. Legend "1997" Ave Maria (Intro) Headbanger!! -Night of 15 mix- Doki Doki Morning Iine! Tamashii No Rufuran, Return To Myself ver. (Yoko Takahashi) Uki Uki Midnight Gimme Chocolate Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai Megitsune Ijime, Dame, Zettai *The Band* Babybones. Now that may have bean the end of the concert but it was not the end of there transition, the show was about to begin the girls would come back out on stage for a five song encore but this time The Babybones were not with them, the band that came back out on stage with SU, Yui and Moa were THE KAMI BAND and they don't have to pretend to play there instruments, The Kami Band is made up from some of the vary best musicians that there are in the world today and they were about to rock this place to it's very foundations, the five songs they were to perform are these. -ENCORE- Onedari Daisakusen Catch Me If You Can (Extended Intro) Head Bangya Akatsuki (Unfinished Version) Babymetal Death *The Band* The Kami Band - Aoyama Hideki (Drums), BOH (Bass), Fujioka Mikio (Guitar), Leda Cygnus (Guitar). So now what do we have a very hyped up crowd rocking hard the girls feeding off the crowds energy and going harder and now a live band that always rock hard and heavy, Babymetal's transition from pop Idol singers into a live performance heavymetal band was complete, I said before that this was one hell of a party for these last five songs HELL would think that it was being invaded. There was one more thing to be done and it would involve the last song BABYMETAL DEATH, but that neads a description all of it's own so we will leave that for now. JUST AS AN EXTRA FOR YOU. This how ever would not be the last time that The Babybones would perform with the girls, Babymetal is not just a band they refer to it as The Babymetal Family and once you are a part of the family you will allways be a part of it and The Babybones had bean a big part of Babymetal and there evolution to were they are now, so as a farewell to the fans The Babybones were given one last tour to do with the girls it would consist of five concerts two out side of Japan and three in Japan. These are the concerts. DATE: EVENT: PLACE: BAND: 28/12/2013, Live In Singapore, Scape The Ground Theatre, Singapore, Babybones. 30/12/2013, Countdown Japan 13/14, Makuhari Messe Internacional Exhibition Hall, Chiba, Babybones. 18/01/2014 All Live Nippon 2014 (Vol.2) Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan Babybones. 24/01/2014 Kinniku Shōjo Tai × Babymetal Tsutaya O-East, Tokyo, Japan Babybones. 02/02/2014 Babymetal x Chthonic ATT Shout Box, Taipei, Taiwan Babybones. This was The Babybones last tour there was just one more thing to do, and that was to officially retire from stage and hand over to The Kami Band, this would be a performance of just one song *Ijime Dame Zettai* it means (No More, Bullying, Forever) a good song choice for this, and it would be the first and only time that The Girls, The Babybones and The Kami Band would be no stage performing together, after this performance the band with the girls has always bean The Kami Band and the performances have always bean live, that is what they wanted to be a Live Performance Band and they are, to listen to a Babymetal song is good, to watch a Babymetal music video is all so good, but to see Babyletal perform live that is somthing you just have to experience. Anyway this performance was at. DATE: 06/02/2014 EVENT: Music Station Show PLACE: Makuhari Messe Event Hall, Chiba, Japan BAND: Babybones + Kami Band KAMI BAND FORMATION: Hideki Aoyama (Drums), BOH (Bass), Takayoshi Ohmura (Guitars), Leda Cygnus (Guitars) BABYBONES FORMATION: "ONLY THE FOX GOD KNOWS". 🤘🦊🤘 Best wishes to our Queen and have a happy 23rd birthday.🤘👑🎈🎂🎁🤘
Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This MV was filmed on Dec. 21, 2013, so 7 years ago. In your video, you heard the crowd shouts some words at 05:05. The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!". If you do search in UA-cam with keywords "babymetal 2019 forum headbang" you will find videos showing Su-Metal directs her mic towards 17,000 American audiences and they shout the same Japanese words on the cue at the Forum, LA on Oct. 11 last year. I believe it made our Metal Queen happy.
Yeah happy birthday our Queen. Yup her gaze is eating your soul. If you going to learn more deeply about Babymetal there is someone making guide on them titled "unhelpful guide on Babymetal" its pack of information about them from their beginning till before the pandemic about their journey
if you ever want to react the the moa version of this song (which is an awe inspiring treat), it WILL be taken down so you'll have to upload onto google drive or something and then put the link in the description. but if you can work it out, you absolutely should if you didn't already try
It's from her 16th birthday. She also got crucified infront of 10 000-ish people that night. Just your average sweet 16th. Pikachu is a die-hard fan traveling all over the world. I think I've seen him at at least 10 of the shows I've been to here in Europe. Oh, and she was 12 when they debuted (infront of the legendary white T-shirt guy). they were 14 in this video. they're roughly 1.5 years younger than su, so they'll turn 15 before su turns 17, but su is just turning 16 in this video, so they're not 15 yet.

Great Majinger Z. It is a Japanese hero robot anime. It's opening song start `dash! dash ! dan dan dadan.' So we are smail at ' head bang head bang ban ban baban'

Hi. 🇧🇷 BABYMETAL can be thought of as a "meta" metal band. A band that criticizes the metal style using the language itself of the various metal styles that have emerged over time. It is precisely this criticism about metal that attracts and also what separates listeners from what is conventionally called heavy music. 🦊 SU🎉🎉 👯

Legend "1997"
Ave Maria (Intro)
Headbanger!! -Night of 15 mix-
Doki Doki Morning
Iine!
Tamashii No Rufuran, Return To Myself ver. (Yoko Takahashi)
Uki Uki Midnight
Gimme Chocolate
Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai
Megitsune
Ijime, Dame, Zettai
*The Band*
Babybones.
-ENCORE-
Onedari Daisakusen
Catch Me If You Can (Extended Intro)
Head Bangya
Akatsuki (Unfinished Version)
Babymetal Death
*The Band*
The Kami Band - Aoyama Hideki (Drums), BOH (Bass), Fujioka Mikio (Guitar), Leda Cygnus (Guitar).
DATE: EVENT: PLACE: BAND:
28/12/2013, Live In Singapore, Scape The Ground Theatre, Singapore, Babybones.

Happy Birthday SU-Metal ! ! !
Been Fun
SU WAS 12 and THE GIRLS WERE ONLY 11
At the time they started BABYMETAL
AND SHE JUST TURNED 16 THE DAY BEFORE THIS CONCERT
IN 2013
Just saying
So as of this moment here in America as I type this (2 PM EST), it is the 7th anniversary of that show!
You have to check out the video where Su turns the baton and mike over to Moa to finish the song.
im always love your reaction..
LVT and Max you guys are the bomb, keep babymetal safe!
Great you had more time to check things you missed first time . Take your attention off BabyMetal for a second and you miss something cool . 🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction as always
Watch "Iine" official MV next time
And Batmetal of course :)))
There is a live pro shot and in that video Moa sings headbanger! I recomend that video!
But as always, great reaction!

Y donde quiera que estés: feliz cumpleaños señorita Nakamoto. Te amo.
Bueno ya paso en japon fue ayer xd
Pero no importa para nosotros es hoy
Yeah happy birthday our Queen. Yup her gaze is eating your soul. If you going to learn more deeply about Babymetal there is someone making guide on them titled "unhelpful guide on Babymetal" its pack of information about them from their beginning till before the pandemic about their journey
They actually did the unhelpful guide already
Estaba esperando esta reacción desde mucho tiempo , buena reacción sigan así con babymetal !!! 🦊🤘
if you ever want to react the the moa version of this song (which is an awe inspiring treat), it WILL be taken down so you'll have to upload onto google drive or something and then put the link in the description. but if you can work it out, you absolutely should if you didn't already try
The Queeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen!
Here you can see rehearsal for that show, and the recording of Doki Doki Morning: ua-cam.com/video/HNNmBzlfTp8/v-deo.html
First performance: ua-cam.com/video/rLVImnMnxc0/v-deo.html
7:58 Since 12, but even younger if you include Karens Girl's.
Here's the video for "Over the Future", when Suzuka was 11:

I think she was 7 when she first started singing onstage with ASH
excellent content.
Great reaction guys. The Legend 1997 show was for her 16th birthday, but it's still really amazing for a 16yo girl and her 15 years old buddies.
they were 14 in this video. they're roughly 1.5 years younger than su, so they'll turn 15 before su turns 17, but su is just turning 16 in this video, so they're not 15 yet.
@@sirmoonslosthismind Right!!
As usual. Scared the sh*t out of the cats at KI-E-RO, and twice this time! Love you! 😊❤🦊🤘 Stay home, stay safe, stay metal!

Baby metal death legend 1997 is more unbelievably scary and also full of mystery, please guarantee the reaction of the video right
6:27 you two are in sync with the song 😄
Ave maria babymetal there's a different version of headbanger interesting but very good.
and she's been doing it since the age of 5.... she's an 18(!) year veteran on stage...
Every time I see this vid, and seeing how much fun Moa and Yui is having with the smoke cannons, you gotta wonder if Su wished she can have some fun with them instead of just holding the mic.....
Great Majinger Z. It is a Japanese hero robot anime. It's opening song start `dash! dash ! dan dan dadan.' So we are smail at ' head bang head bang ban ban baban'
Note it, play it on 4th of July for Moa, and watching her sing it 🥰
I wish someone donated the same song but with moa singing Headbanger. But nevertheless this live is so good. Great work guys keep it up.
Now moabangyaaa please (same Headbanger but Moa on lead vocals)
React to Babymetal Headbanger Night of 15 mix
Isnt it supposed to be public holidays world wide for the queens birthday? lol.
Yep 100% lol

#makeitapublicholidayonsubirthday
Chokoto love by yui metal 🦊🦊🦊
Good reaction, That solo is so difficult to play 🤘🦊🤘
Did you react to AWADAMA ?? 2015 y with band solo before girls ? I'm sure you love it
I would like to recommend you watching Junna... a Japanese drummer. She does drum covers. One of the is to Through the fire and flames by Dragon Force...well worth a look.

He also worked as a music school teacher, so this video seems to have been shot at school.
Hi. 🇧🇷
BABYMETAL can be thought of as a "meta" metal band. A band that criticizes the metal style using the language itself of the various metal styles that have emerged over time. It is precisely this criticism about metal that attracts and also what separates listeners from what is conventionally called heavy music.
