I keep a journal of everything I eat and every vitamin and supplement I take. I have been doing this since 1990.
Doing this has helped me identify what works and what don't. It has paid off big time. I am 74, feel great and running around like a little kid.
I highly recommend keeping a journal to log your progress to better health.

I'm about to be 90, and I still feel like I'm 15, with the same brain fog, tiredness, nervousness, and stress. In short, I still feel awful."
I only feel good while I'm playing sports; training sports makes me feel dreadful.
I play sports virtually every day because I want to feel well.
Win or Loose, I dont care, I have fun with a good performance,
Always trying to get better at new sports.
I've been doing it since I could stand on two legs, and I'll keep doing it as long as I can stand on two legs..😀

Man has achieved so much that an assessment is imposing itself:
aging violates human dignity and unnecessarily interrupts the activities of many creative people: scientists, artists, doctors and many, many others.

I am 74. My health insurance company wanted me to list all the medications I was taking. I just put down "none". Then I was sent a letter stating that I had incorrectly filled out the form and I needed to list all my medications. Again, I put down "none". They finally stopped sending me letters. 🙂

@@jamesgarvey8402 Hello. These days I avoid refined sugar so that means no chocolate, cake and other sweet stuff, sugar is so bad for aging you which I never realized. I don't smoke. I don't drink much alcohol...probably just a few times a year, like sugar regular alcohol intake is bad for aging. In terms of sleep I try to get about 7 hours. I do regular intermittent fasting which is good for aging and when I eat I often have omega 3 rich fish (anti aging) with vegetables and feta cheese, feta cheese is good for gut health and that's never a bad thing for aging.
I choose vegetables that are high in vitamins a, c and e. All 3 of those vitamins are good for aging. I avoid fruit juice as that is high in sugars, too much fruit sugar is also bad. Some whole fruit is ok but you don't wanna go overboard with it, vegetables are better. I also take a good quality combined multivitamin and mineral supplement and also astaxanthin which is a powerful antioxidant that can slow aging.

My skin looks better, my endurance is better, my brain inflammation has calmed down and my anxiety and depression are in remission for the first time. These ideas work. It's not nonsense. • @dimarak8866
      @dimarak8866 Рік тому +1

      Not necessarily.
Because these treatments will only be made available for the rich first and on a larger scale it must be Regulated because the earths resources are limited. If most people suddenly can live hundreds of years in a young, youthful and "wasteful" way/state, then the world would be a dystopia, because most people then would not be able to sustain a even near-luxourious Lifestyle. And then the question needs to be asked: do you want to live very long even though you cant really enjoy life because the resources are not there?

    • @masonarcher
      @masonarcher Рік тому

@@anab0lic that’s a very good concern you brought up. My understanding is that as countries “develop“ birth rates fall significantly. Right now countries that are wealthy are only growing in population because of immigration. The estimates for continued population explosion seem to have almost universally been revised to somewhat quick plateau and then potential fall around the turn of the next century. Of course, we shouldn’t rest in the areas of sustainability and ecological stewardship.

Honestly, if I may say to you, the preoccupation and obsession with being young looking and fitting into a narrative that, is the ultimate goal to compete in society, that you are measured only by your performance and achieved success by the expectations of defining youth.
Yes we can attain desirability and the realm of only what is desired by a young placement of our life, and look the part, act in such ways that appeal to a younger body and mindset. I notice there's an element in your striving that the eye sees that looks frozen and unable to adapt. That acceptance lies in not only needing to look younger but a fascination to acquire at any cost. Mind you, I take very excellent care of myself, I don't look my age but it would be so wonderful to see you in a relaxed state, with all due respect, and honor yourself as a Man. Not a boy in his youthfulness.

I lost a friend (not as in dying but as in ending the friendship) who got extremely angry when I posted a link to David's book. I said simply that it does appear that age reversal will become possible in the future. He's a professor of biology at a major university and said it's sad that people are falling for this "con-artist." We got into a debate in which he was very condescending. This also sometimes happens in regard to Ray Kurzweil's predictions about nanomedicine keeping us healthy beginning in the 2030s. Unfortunately, there's going to be a great many people resisting the immense changes coming in the next couple of decades.

The thing is it's never going to happen. This aging field has become a cash cow for these Scientists. They need to keep the Cash flowing from investors, so they keep lying and saying all this stuff is right around the corner. The Science is mind-blowing what's coming. All to keep the money flowing in to fund their lifestyle. There isn't one single age reversal pill or treatment that's ever come to fruition. I never suggested it was going to happen this decade but that it seemed quite likely it would eventually be possible to reverse the damage done by the aging process. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. Get up and go outside. Go to your local stores. Go to Targets, Walmarts, and Sporting stores. Go to a car lot, go to rental cars, talk to people, listen to new music...
      TAKE IN THE WORLD.
Next, read articles in your idea investment. Ask yourself what the motivations are? Do they want you to sell, buy, or hold?
Look at history, the CEOs track record.
(You could look at SEC Filings if they are some. But if you're a non-accountant, it may be too much to understand)

Everything is closed by the loop of economic profit. Rich elites fear that there are too many people, so if they are to disappear, they must get sick and live shorter lives. Euthanasia will almost certainly be implemented. The profits from the above medical discoveries will therefore be of an elite nature, and a popular professor will become one of them by becoming rich.

If Sinclairs gran was already putting the fear of death and mortality into him at that age, I can see why it's such a passion of his. I'm not saying his gran was wrong because she was being honest. Dr. Sinclair refuses to debate scientists who state sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes. He should welcome the challenges if he has evidence for support. The following is one case.
"Sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes"
    Charles Brenner
    Life Metabolism
    Volume 1, Issue 2
    October 2022, Pages 122-133
Brenner is both cautious and critical of research that promotes claims of anti-aging and longevity. He reviewed Lifespan: Why We Age - and Why We Don't Have To by David A. Sinclair, summarizing it as "an influential source of misinformation on longevity, featuring counterfactual claims about longevity genes being conserved between yeast and humans, the existence of supposed activators of these genes, and claimed successful age reversal in mice based on partial reprogramming. Brenner published a major review of sirtuins in 2022 entitled "Sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes".

I think, just my opinion, we are way too obsessed on living longer rather than better. I would rather live less years that are happier than live more on a treadmill of this thing or that thing. Also in my opinion, this is nothing more than a sales commercial for the book he is selling. it seems like an infomercial to me, but you be you!! At 64, I am on no medications, no eye glasses, no body pain, no diseases. I am a college graduate and work in the medical field. I have not seen a doctor in 45 years, non smoker and I drink a glass of wine rarely. It is just common sense and genetics folks!

@peterdiamandis Have you considered interviewing Bryan Johnson about his Blueprint protocol? As far as I know, he has the world's best anti-aging program, fueled by massive bodily data collection and analysis, spending $2M per year to biologically become 18 again (he's in his 40s). His program is to measure all relevant parameters for every organ in his body, and to let the data determine what he needs to do to optimize the health and longevity of every organ. I believe you and your audience would find that extremely interesting!

I'm beyond confident this technology will not only come to full maturity but also become accessible to everyone, however my only concern is the backlashing regulation from those who are secretly in control of the world, or "the man upstairs" because if their agenda is keeping population under a certain threshold the last thing those people want is extending average human lifespan by a significant amount.

It's vain and delusional to believe that aging is optional. You can age well or you can age poorly. You can increase your life span and you can increase your health span. But eventually we all decay and die. Making peace with that and preparing yourself spiritually is way more conducive to authentic happiness than chasing the elusive eternal youth.
