I think in this video, game is talking about the fake industry and not wanting to sell his soul to the devil. It's actually really deep. No wonder he's only worth 10 million and not 100 million like other singers he's better than. I respect him so much for that

I love the little things in this video that show it is all about controlling him as a musician. The blonde guide, blind guide? The fact that she kisses the girl, she is not interested in him romantically. All the controls, the man with the cash counts out some of it for Gavin, but keeps most of it. The other musicians at the party each have a girl in his lap, but all the girls know each other, i.e. they are all 'guides' too. And even the fans in the audience are fake projections. This is a very Meta music video with tons of symbolism. Fantastic.

Many moons ago before Gavin was famous was handed a promo copy of Chariot. I worked in the NYC nightclub scene and we got those ALL THE TIME. I usually just threw them out but for some reason Chariot made its way onto my cd shelf unopened. Fast forward almost a year later and I'm watching VH1 (back when they actually played music videos) and Chariot comes on. I'm like Chariot...Chariot..why does that sound familiar?? I ran to my rack, found the album, tore it open and played it.....daily for an entire year. His debut album became one of my all-time favorites and the only promo that I never threw out.

@@spartansrace4293 It actually wasn't a demo but the actual CD! The only difference was the marking on front: "For promotional purposes only. Not for resale." Other than that it was identical to his debut record which I would have gladly paid for it was that good!
