I don't know if you guys will see this message... but I am a Disabled Vietnam Veteran who has been following your journey for some time now. I have purchased some of your coffee and I am going to look at your video on How to do videos. I am in ALTO BOQUETE right now from Texas and I came to see about relocating and retiring here. I have also wanted to document what the experience is like for persons who are mobility disabled. The third leg of the flights to get to David was the worse. But I made it and I am enjoying my visit. I have decided to relocate. And I just wanted to contact you guys to let you know that from an Old Fart"s point of view, what you are doing as a young couple is beyond amazing and truly wonderful. I had hoped to go by your coffee shop and see it in person, but as you may know... transportation for the disabled is still a challenge here. I am happy to say that more attention is being given to Handicap Access and COPA Airlines apologized to me profusely for the difficulties I faced flying from Panama City to David and promised to do better. I am actually in a cabin in Linda Vista that is Handicap Friendly. I even bought some more items that my wonderful Landlord installed for me to make my stay easier. So please accept my blessings and well wishes for your journey. By the way... I was going to tell you that the gate would allow the goats to squeeze through. LOL But I figured by the time you saw my note... if you do in fact have time to read the notes here, you would already know. Bien Venidos... and Merry Christmas. I will be headed back to the states on the 26th to sell everything I have and move here.
William Scott Good for you! Be sure to document your journey for others...it makes such a difference when we share information. I wish you the best and hope you get back to Panama soon. Maybe you can work on changing some of the Disability issues even if its just a little to make it easier to get around. I'm in AZ and someday hope to get out of here as well someday, inspired by this couple as well:) P.S. I thought the same thing about the goat fence! I knew they'd go right through it, let alone climb on the roof...lol

Hopefully we see more of this. Really need it to be wide spread to see a change. So hard to imagine anything like this happening in the US. You can’t even get neighbors to wave anymore.
How can you encourage people to beg for money like these kids....get a real job and contribute instead of taking for your own personal gain...terrible example for millenials..
@@456redskins You obviously don't know their story, with the money you say they beg for, do you have any idea thats how content creators make money to keep providing good content. And if you looked you'd see these millennials as you call them are investing wisely with the money their followers give. They started a small business, employing people in their community, they pay it forward. They help the locals where they live with jobs trying to help others especially now as the world struggles. It's kinda sad you choose to see the world with such eyes of distain. All I see is a couple who wants a good community of people around them, to live off the land, be sustainable and just enjoy life and what it has to offer, roll with the punches through the tough times and lean on each other and the community they are trying to create. If you havent noticed they also helped others who may have never had their own land to build a home on. They are good people.
@@prolificoracle Dude that "Farm" is not sustainable nor is it intended to be. It is a Hobby farm at best. To be fair this is not what they are intending. A farm needs to produce a product theirs does, YT content. A farm does not only produce food to sustain the people who own it though in many case farmers produce product they will never eat and go buy their food but since it is a result of income from their farm same thing. It also need to supply a surplus to generate money for other things all bills fees clothes on food shopping internet electric etc. Obviously they do not have enough to sustain themselves let alone a surplus to generate money for this.
As a farm no way could it sustain even 2 people if YT closed Shops closed what would they have to eat? Well a couple of rows of vegetable's a greenhouse 4 adolescent goats and a couple of chickens. Since YT is unlikely to close and shops are unlikely to close they will be ok but to call their farm sustainable nope

It's true, but it doesn't necessarily have to be high high. Lots of folks just put a picnic table in the goat pen and the goats love clambering on it. Just don't put it too near the fence;)
Used to take care of our goats when I was a child. Yep. They are escape artist. I would imagine, you will have a lot to do during next weeks or months to learn what all they can do. They also eat everything from your clothes to bag of rubber bands to coffee beans. Goats tend to go wherever they want. Perhaps they are from some other dimension where our rules of physics don't apply. :D You will definately learn a lot from them, mainly to become more patient and resilient. :D (Sorry if my Englis is not so perfect. I'm from Finland) I love your channel! Thanks for great content!

Looks great. Goats are all about climbing and jumping and playing King of the hill. May need to move A Frame to center of corral. Some goats climb and live in trees to escape predators. Google it

I know this was over a year ago, but I just found you guys the last week or so. You inspire me at 70 years old to do my own things. 2.5 years ago I moved to a new house on the Colorado prairie and I love it out here. It is the first time that I was able to buy 2.5 acres of land and a home in my whole life. I love the quiet out here even though we live in a modular home community. We have good and quiet neighbors. No street lights. Who needs em. My sunsets also are fantastic like yours. I love crocheting and sewing and gardening. I may even get a couple goats, who knows. I pray for you all and your family. God is so very good! Love ya!

I think that in such an environment, with such weather, constant rains and humidity. The best solution would be to install a plastic floor. There are beautiful plastic floors that imitate wood, steel etc. Plastic does not rust, rot, get wet, and does not rot. Even if you scratch a plastic floor, the color will be the same all the time. Welding gloves for oven mitts= perfect!
Maybe you can put a wax finish on your floor to keep moisture as an extra barrier, so if the dog pees or a beverage spills, the seams even will have some protection while you clean up. Plus, it might stay shiny longer. Looks really nice. You all have so much fun.

"Weed'em and Reep" on UA-cam. They are specialist in the type of goats you have and may be able to troubleshoot your attempts to contain your little ones. Oh, and that dog will NEVER run away. You give it sooooo much love.

Lola, oh Lola, you made my day with your digging with such passion.
I learned from personal experience of keeping goats for 35 + years that a gate going inward towards the goats or other critters is much better for keeping them in when you want them to stay in instead of getting out. I also hung all my gates so when closed they bumped up against the opposite post or piece attached to the post. This way it won't swing open back & forth willy nilly.
