My dad just passed away an hour ago and his favorite band was Aerosmith so i played this just for my dad. We danced to this at my wedding. I love you dad.

I'm listening to this beautiful song in my father's hospital room right now. He has multiple myoloma since late November of 2021 and his doctor said that we have to prepare him for hospice care now. My mom and I were calling our friends and our entire family to come down and spend time with him before he leaves this earth. I wasn't prepared for him to leave but at the same time, I'm ready for him to live peacefully. My parents is not much of a aerosmith fan but I am. So... for decades, Aerosmith was my #1 band. Huge fan of Steven, saw them at least 8 times, and was REALLY happy when my sister named my one and only nephew Tyler. Once, when he was 5 years old, we were watching one of their live performances on TV. He was sitting on my lap and I was quietly singing along to this song, when all of a sudden, he jumped in on harmonies. He was five!! Flash forward 25 years and he's getting married this fall. They chose this song for their first dance and he asked me to sing it. 😭 That's why I'm here. 💗
I too have been to many Aerosmith shows. I had tickets to a show in Feb, 2025 but they are having to reorganize/reschedule. (fingers crossed) I love going to the shows and seeing 2 and 3 generations of family walking in together. It happens a lot. -- This song was released in 1998, ~25 years after their debut album. It's been 51 years and this they still crush everything they touch. Not many artist can compare. Happy listening :)

Crazy as it sounds, I kept playing this song when my beautiful little cat Roki was dying. She was 17 and the closest thing I'd had for so long. She was ill, and I eventually had to have her put to sleep. It was truly deverstating, I missed her so much. I loved this song before she died, but it had so much more meaning after she'd gone. Sorry about it but you are not alone, I lost my after 14 1/2 years chow chow and Labrador, 3 years ago and we still missed her so much, my adult kids sometimes cried, because they didn't get to see her before she died, Her ashes are still in my living room. We tried few times to buried her, but for some reasons we haven't done it.. I guess she still wanted to protect daddy and mommy as she was, very protective.

I'm listening to this beautiful song in my father's hospital room right now. He has multiple myoloma since late November of 2021 and his doctor said that we have to prepare him for hospice care now. My mom and I were calling our friends and our entire family to come down and spend time with him before he leaves this earth. I wasn't prepared for him to leave but at the same time, I'm ready for him to live peacefully. My parents is not much of a aerosmith fan but I am. I just want to thank Aerosmith for making me fill myself with peace, knowing I'll be alright. I hope they see this message. I always love you pops. (fingers crossed) I love going to the shows and seeing 2 and 3 generations of family walking in together. It happens a lot. -- This song was released in 1998, ~25 years after their debut album. Anybody ever felt like this? I had a relationship with someone that I knew would never last...I literally didn't want to sleep because I knew, in the morning, she'd go back to her life, and I'd go back to mine, and I'd be missing her until I saw her next. I just cherished the time we spent together and tried to stretch that moment out as long as possible...wonder if they ever think about me??? Hopefully it's with fond memories. I hope everybody gets to experience that...even if it's temporary....after all, everything is.
My 13 year old German shepherd just passed away peacefully in my arms. I loved her so much. For some reason this song started playing in my head as I felt her take her last breath looking up at me. Hearing it now I can't stop crying.

Sorry about it but you are not alone, I lost my after 14 1/2 years chow chow and Labrador, 3 years ago and we still missed her so much, my adult kids sometimes cried, because they didn't get to see her before she died, Her ashes are still in my living room. We tried few times to buried her, but for some reasons we haven't done it.. I guess she still wanted to protect daddy and mommy as she was, very protective.
