    Awesome job Steve, you never gave up . That stove is a rocket . That adapter might be in your feed maybe because you were looking for the Coleman adapter for your favourite stove . Have a good 4 th of July holiday weekend!

      Thank you, Scott. I think you're right. That's gotta be how it came up in my feed. I also have a bookmark with some searches in. EBay for that type of thing. I'm glad it came up because it was super. Cheap free shipping and three dollars and fifty cents. But what it's worth. That is a really good deal. And I can Now put all that fuel to work. You have a great fourth as well, 👍

    The threaded side is a type of Schrader valve. These adapters generall work well, just seems the stove side had those wings to keep from using one as a way to force consumers into using the expensive bottles. I have a whole collection of adapters to even use Coleman propane green canisters, and a refill adapter to refill the expensive bottles of butane with those cheaper tall cans.

      Thank you, Chad. Really good information. I appreciate it. I like this adapter. It actually seems very well made. I can't believe they're three bucks. It's a big deal for me because now I can put that fuel that I bought to work

    The threaded one is called a Lindal connection. It's technically a Lindal valve with threaded connection. The old Camping Gaz cylinders, I believe, were Lindal valves with the click on, non-threaded connection. Lindal valves are pretty much what's in most aerosol spray cans you see.

      @@doinsngoins Yeah, that's a different animal. I never owned a GAZ appliance. Thanks for the correction. Never had any of the click on type either and can't recall a brand that used them. I'm sure someone will come along with the right info.

    • @doinsngoins
      @doinsngoins  Місяць тому +1

      @mikemorgan5015 Yes. People are curious as to why I've never picked up. One of those cartridge style stoves that take these aerosol. Canisters. I've always just passed on them. They are very common. I could pick one up pretty much any day. But they've just never really appealed to me. Now the GAz
      , In my opinion, this product is very good. The fuel, however, is obsolete. I do collect the fuel and I have probably a lifetime a fuel for these lanterns. And stoves, they're really lightweight compound. And they burn really, really well. The downfall is the proprietary puncture type fuel cells. The click on aerosol fuel seems to be quality fuel. And the only reason I have these adapters that I just bought was to consume the 2 cases a fuel that I picked up for nearly nothing. I think ten dollars

    • @doinsngoins
      @doinsngoins  Місяць тому

      @mikemorgan5015 By the way, Mike, there actually is a stove that actually has a thread on it. Also a large bottle, probably like a gallon bottle that you could have bought long ago. That also is threaded. Most however, are the puncture style

    Well now, that is a petty cool attachment. I'm wondering if you could use it for one of them little single burner backpacking stoves, as those little canisters of propane are rather expensive. Just may have to give it a try!

      I'm not sure Bruce. Maybe so all I know is that I find this type of Fuel quite frequently. And I've never been able to use it before. So i'm pretty much into these canisters for life. haaa haaaa !

    • @mikemorgan5015
      @mikemorgan5015 Місяць тому +1

      @@doinsngoins No big deal. I think those bosses were to make the connection on canisters more solid when they bottomed out on the rim and aid in alignment for a good seal. As long as you're even remotely careful, that should never be an issue.

    • @doinsngoins
      @doinsngoins  Місяць тому

      Yes they still hit equally on each side , taking off that little bit of surface just let the adapter seat a fraction closer. All good 👍
