- Welcome to video four of the throw it out! fresh start series! In today's video I am decluttering closets and organizing them.. During this closet clean out and cabinet organizing I realized I am on the right track when it comes to holding onto the things we actually need and just throwing away and donating the things I know we actually are not going to use. I am absolutely seeing and feeling the changes at this point in the process. It has been a month so far and I am proud of the progress we have made. The spaces I have left to declutter and organize are my kitchen, my living room 8 cube organizer, shoes, food supplies, and the basement!! I just finished watching the bedroom one and this popped up! What timing! Love this series and it's helping me a ton, thank you for sharing it. I think when you're younger you're immortal and after you hit like, 30 you start realizing the value of time, and that it's a finite resource. You don't want to spend all your time managing and cleaning spaces, you want to do more important things, so I totally get wanting to just shed stuff. I wish you the best in your journey! I live alone and 8 years ago I started to declutter my home. A ton of stuff is gone and I am so happy about it. I have now what I love, use and need in my home. For me is that easier then for you I think, because I have only to deal with my own stuff. Decluttering is really something that makes your life so much easier and more happy. Hi I live in Miss. We have a lot of rain, dirt, and mud .My husband is a logger so you no I have dirty floors. This will help you !! Thick rubber runner and large rubber rug in living room then I put rubber mats in my kitchen by sink and stove. Then also in my bathroom .I just mop them and it's made my life so much easier. We have a store call Roses and they have them .Life saver

I love watching your videos. Although I am older than you, I still get motivation after watching to tackle some declutter/cleaning areas. I made a list while watching your video. I have a bedroom to go through and sort and your way of sorting, decluttering & cleaning is similar to mine along with the goal of using up supplies before buying new. In my phone, I keep a list of non-food items that I use on a regular basis: cleaning supplies, personal hygiene, paper products, etc. I check it on a monthly basis and refill what is needed (or note it throughout the month). I get paid once a month so I do this refill haul right after I get paid. One tip I learned after having grandchildren is that Magic Erasers will help to get old fingerprints off your walls. Once you get the marks off, if you routinely wipe the surface with a cleaning cloth, it will help keep them to a minimum. One other tip I have is that at least once a week I will take cleaning wipes and walk around cleaning all my doorknobs (both sides of the door) and all the light switches. It helps to keep minimize germs and stickiness (because…well, kids…). Again, thanks for the get up and get it done motivation. I’m off to tackle some projects! 😊

You can always find toothpaste for free when couponing. I never pay for toothpaste and I have so many that I never run out and I can always donate when then are close to expiring.

I had seen you cleaning your 8 year old's room last year (I think it was last year), but I'd not got around to subscribing so when Midwest Magic Cleaning reminded me I came back and subscribed. Closets and cupboards are just evil things! They clutter up all by themselves.
I'm off to tackle the laundry piles. And then I need to sort some space out in the bedding and towels cupboard because it's ridiculous in there!

You're getting it done. I'll tell you once you start you will be hooked, you'll even be laying in bed and say to yourself I could have let this or that item go. Even when I declutter a closet, I can feel it cleaned even with the door closed, now that's something. I'm down to ten cleaning supplies for the whole house, I found the one's that I like the best. Great job.

Nicely done with your decluttering, good job. I also wanna get to that point, to do other things besides having a sense of guilt and tiredness from mess and clutter. So hard to clean around clutter. I like how you show one area at a time with step by step. I recently redid one of my son's rooms, declutter, repaint, redecoratez so proud of myself, but a shelf and few things from his room is sitting outside of my room now and keep staring at that pile. I had made a few boxes for donations and took it to the donation place, but more left to do. So I've been pretty much frozen for 3 weeks, I don't know why, it's that one step to get started that is overwelming. I gotta do my other son's room, he is impatiently waiting as now he's got putty patches on his wall for 3 weeks now. Gotta prep the room, take shelves out ect, prep for the paint, that's the longest for me, but anyway, I just keep telling myself he deserves a serene peaceful room and it needs to get done. Then I need to make the basement more teen friendly so my boys can enjoy having friends over. My room needs attention too. For now I watch a video and that motivates me to get a daily chore done, then I do it, it's just not easy as vacuuming and mop needs to be done daily because of the dogs, kids... then kitchen tidy ect so that's why I run out of energy for everything else and it makes me so depressed, I just wanna get it all done and I find myself wasting alot of time on being not motivated.

Great idea for the neighborhood help! Leave a book in a waiting room with a sticky note saying free to take. Pay for the overwhelmed person behind you at the store. My friend did this after a flood-the young man behind her with his wife and baby was on the phone telling his friend about their damaged home. She had the money right then and bought their groceries. If you look around you, these things will present themselves to you.❤
Gift wrap closet door handle: put a piece of wooden match in the door handle where the screw is and it will stay tightened
I've just done a snack shop with my 3 the other weekend, my partner does the main shop so there's always crisps and mini choc bars but I wanted them to get other snacks for their school lunches and as theyre constantly saying theyre hungry i figured i could push for som healthier snacks, they were quite good, they picked dairylea lunchables, muller rice pots, fruit pots in syrup and jelly, jelly pots as well as some mousses, baby bells, it came to £70 and I told them this is a once a month thing but they've been eating better than just shovelling chocolate and crisps 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤣🤣 but it was hard work theyre 4, 11 and 14 so I feel your pain xx
