    This has been my favorite set of days so far. Love the little Fidget Men toys, the dice bowl/tray and LOVE the whiskey smoker! What an awesome series. Also, if anyone is thinking about ordering from Cadence MFG, do it! I got my bits immediately and the customer service is amazing.

    I think you will go viral eventually, top vids are those torture tests I haven’t watched them yet but why not do more types of those but just take time to be creative with the ideas. The sled video is good because it’s a cool big idea. Build big stuff or cool stuff with viral intention. I don’t know I’m throwing ideas they probably suck because I am not a wood worker but like, building a wooden bike, wooden car, wooden optical illusion pieces, wooden gun, wooden chandelier (cool furniture stuff I don’t know this one is less viral probably) wooden Xbox like put the computer stuff in it but build the shell as wood including the controller that would be cool. I don’t know but those torture ones expand on that and the sled one did well because it was epic in size I think, haven’t watched it yet. Just watched the whisky one but that one was cool af. Keep going man.
    Edit:
    Watched the sled and I was shocked! I saw the thumbnail and the way you stood behind it made me think you were building a sled on rails like an actual sled lmao. I don’t know how many other people thought that. Or how many people thought it was about a tool when they clicked on it. But if you notice the view duration on that is less than normal they probably thought you were building a sled to sit inside on rails. If so, build epic stuff out of wood and you will start getting ton of views. If not disregard my advice, this niche I know nothing about it isn’t similar enough to other niches I do.
    I also watched the torture test but not sure how to repeat this. I’m trying to think of ways you can repeat the success for the torture and can’t think of much. But building epic or creative wooden things you can repeat the success I know you could get huge. Like these tech channels build like giant spider robots and self aiming basketball throwing stuff. They make big and out of the ordinary things that have viral appeal. If you can find a way to do this with wood objects youll sell tons of the Etsy plans just promote some cool plans at the start of videos or the middle. Use the crazy projects that bring views to promote the smaller Etsy stuff you sell.
    I’m trying to think of stuff it’s hard to think of things for you I’m sorry but I know you can think of cool stuff. Designing Paper airplanes out of wood (might be dumb I don’t know just trying to spark idea)
    The thumbnail with the wooden people is along the lines of this already. Unusual things. Anyways keep it up man cool channel!
    What about wrapping my car in wood. Or giving my car a wooden wrap. Can you put wood prices together in the shape of your car body and sand it nice so it looks like your cars body is wood, then stain it? That’s real cool I think that would get lot of views. But that’s what I’m saying like over the top crazy stuff. Sell your Etsy projects within the video where people can make stuff at home. And you will get 5m views on a video. Think about it. If you made 25k from Etsy off 1M views in one year. What would happen if you had viral vids that hit 1-2M each once a month. Selling Etsy in them smaller cool projects you can promote 1-2 min in the start or middle of this bigger project video.
    You could potentially make like a boat load of money.
    Also if you are going for a purely educational channel disregard everything I’m saying. It’s cool you can do the car wrapping one in educational way show tools you use and techniques and stuff as you make it. But it’s more fun for the mass of people.

    I would think you can use that mix for camp8ng fires starters, too. Maybe sell them if you're in the right area. Just cotton balls soaked with the mix. Package them in a heavy duty freezer bag.

    THANKS! I bought your whiskey smoker plans (much easier then starting from scratch) love the chimney design, i used a bowl bit to add a radius to the outside & burn camber inside. Bought 4/4 rough white oak & planed it to 1" thick, thicker gives it a great look. Will see how they do at the craft shows. One question: How do you make the chips?? I used a hand help power planer on the deepest setting and they look ok but still a little "fine" I think.

    What did you use for the chips here? We're trying sawdust from our CNC dust collector, and it's just going up too quickly, and not generating smoke.

    I'm a little disappointed in that all I got with this package was the vectors. Could you please supply some data on depth of cuts for these pocket paths? Don't get me wrong, I know it would be a fairly simple matter to figure out for myself, but I just expected more for my purchase (is that wrong of me?)... I mean, it was kinda like getting a lego set without any instructions. (my $0.02) Thankee!

    • @HamiltonDilbeck
      @HamiltonDilbeck  Рік тому +2

      I'm sorry that you're dissapointed with your purchase. Try clearing half your material thickness. Pocket out that amount for the shaving area, and then an additional .125" for the pipe screen.

    • @FullSailDale1
      @FullSailDale1 Рік тому

      @@HamiltonDilbeck Thank you sir! I mentioned these to someone in passing and now they're considering buying them from me in quantity to give as corporate Christmas gifts, so I'm already working on how to best incorporate their logo ...so it just kit me... weird... that all I was getting was (in essence) concentric circles! Thank you for understanding (and for all the work you put into making available all of these designs)!
      One other question... I was hoping you would explain in one of your videos the thinking behind the design of the Maketember logo. That kind of thing always interests me!

      I agree. I bought the file pack, and literally its the same vector file with just some different images on it. I was expecting more details on cut depths at least. At least the comment above here helped

    • @HamiltonDilbeck

      It's not meant for wax. The spout is plastic and doesn't heat up the cooled wax from previous melts in it. It might if it were changed over to a brass spout- but I've never done that.
