The ONLY positive is that the Excellent throws were pretty easy to grind
Also if you grind XP doing Evolution Spotlight hours, it’s a good time to stock up on the 12 candy bugs and get extra candy.
@@deedeeschway9566that form of XP grinding is antequated. Just grind friendship bonuses, stack them and do it all at once.

The game is in the gutter. Awful events. Remote raids nerfed to oblivion. Now the avatar “update” is the final nail in the coffin for me.
Larvesta is also in the 2 km eggs for anyone that wants to grind Larvesta.
Honestly, I think the event is good for anyone that wants to grind XP. It only takes 12 candies to evolve a Wurmple, a Weedle or a Caterpie and then you just transfer the second evolution.
I didn’t think Niantic would let people perform plastic surgery on their avatars

I found like 4 shiny Nincada in the last couple weeks. First two were from a nest that spawned in a park near me, and then 2 more during the event. Also a random Audino nest... had no idea that thing could nest - stardust galore.
I went to Naples Florida for vacation last week. I was hoping that this year would finally be my chance to shiny hunt or at least Hundo hunt the Florida exclusives, Corsola, Heracross, Carnivine, & Maractus (yes, I know its shiny is not in the game yet.). However, thanks to this bug event, almost none of them spawned for me…. 😢😢
At least I got 2 shiny Heracross from the Mega Heracross raid event on Saturday, so I’m very happy about that.

Honestly going back to Kanto is a tried and true method to get attention. Older players may not care but may want to get a better specific pokemon, for various things and newer players may not have as many good kanto pokemon since when they started up there are just so many now. In addition I will say the Kanto pokemon always tend to be relevant.
I'm just happy we finally get an event with a whole bunch of Kricketot, he's my favourite :)
For the biome thing it would probably suck for a lot of people if the spawns were coordinated to areas, it works in mainline games because it’s a whole world in the game, Irl people can’t travel like that. And the new character update is abysmal.
Scyther was spawning AND the timed research gives you a Scizor.
2x candy and XP was great too.

I enjoyed chasing shiny Wurmple, Burmy, Combee and Kricketot this event, but agree the lack of anything new being released was disappointing.
Stacking encounters with paras for the 3x stardust day was cool really just an xp grind event can’t be mad
imo the saving grace for the event is that with all the weedles i caught i can max my mega beedrill which is one of the best poison attackers for pve

This is a great event for people who aren’t level 50 and don’t go to every safari event. So ya, I think it’s a very cool event. I grinded the hell out of the sinnoh tour and go fest and couldn’t get shiny combee or burmy! This event I got a female shiny combee and a burmy. As someone who can’t travel the world whenever. I loved this event. Scyther was also spawning
I got a shiny female Combee, a shiny Wurmple, and a hundo Wurmple yesterday!
I got shiny nincada, shiny male combee, shiny pidgey, and hatched a hundo smolive

I’ve been actively hunting for a shiny male Burmy… but it’s a little difficult, considering how the game would rather give me everything BUT the “Catch 5 Pokemon” event research.

I've had the books update since it first got released, but for me and my friends it makes the game SO INSANELY laugh that UT takes about 10 seconds to throw a poke ball. Its a cool visual update but they need to fix the laggyness

Bug Out has been a bit hit and miss for me. I only managed to get one shiny male combee last night from the general spawns. I got a shiny burmy and a shiny ferroseed a few weeks ago, weirdly getting an upcoming featured shiny in the weeks before an event has happened a few times to me.
Where I feel like I really got lucky was in the collection challenge encounters, I managed to get a shiny shedinja and a shiny scizor so over all I’m happy with the shinies I got.
I really like that you are back to making Pokemon Go content again. You really know how to turn a positive spin on everything
The only reason that Sustainability Week looks so lackluster, is because there happens to be ANOTHER event happening right around the time of Sustainability Week that’ll be taking the Wild Spawns for sure.

I still caught over 1,000 bug Pokémon for exp evolution grinding.🤷♂️
Maybe they have something in store for later in the year....i doubt it but we can hope.
Only thing wrong is that April 16's spotlight hour feature is not double evolve XP. We could saved all the 12 candies evolve on that day and evolve + lucky egg em.
But nope. That didn't happen. What a bummer.

It wasn't even that bad, it featured great shinies and I'm really annoyed that I missed out on most of the event
Couldn't finish that last challenge them rates for nincada were meh to i was mostly busy at work but. no shines but random shiny yungoos coming home and while recording finally!

3.evebt gives cool pokemon
Yes, it’s cool that burme and cottonee have increased shiny odds, too bad neither of those Pokémon are really spawning
The new biome feature is an absolte battery drain since it was introduced. i want to have option to go back to basic background
The bio spawn sound fun and exciting on paper but I think it will be bad in practice. Most people don't move around to a lot of bio's. So seasonal spawn would start to feel bad even faster especially if you don't travel a lot.
Got back to back shiny scyther I wasn't disappointed, was looking for other shinies but hey it's all good
its weird ive had the biome update for about 3 weeks and the character customisation for a few too

Mostly because of the shedinja encounter but also combee is really good for stardust and nincadas were spawning witch you don’t see to often
I mean it sucks because bugs are not rare compared to other typings. You usually encounter wurmples, kricketots and combees when their region first came out.
I have a shiny bermy BUT It wasn't even from the bug out event. It was a random encounter during a pelkia raid day
my scizor encounter from the event research was a shiny
the event was good for evolving exp, but it is really slow to evolve all the bugs :D
I just started playing and I'm still doing the mew special research so this Kanto event is really good for me, its gonna be easy to get the golden Kanto medal

I was pretty happy getting the extra candies and doubled XP. The event was pretty good for the level XP grinders, but I doubt other plays enjoyed/played. Even though I played almost each day of the event, the shiny hunting was unsuccessful- did not get the shiny female Combee i was after due to poor spawn rates
I swore the bug out event included double stardust for nice throws or better. I was wrong. Day 1 I played and then had 10 pokeballs left, so I said nah im good on these "go nowhere pokemon".

I got a shiny Beedrill from completing one of the collection tasks, so I'm fairly satisfied in general, but overall the event wasn't much

they need to fix the special shadow events cause shadow mewtwo is cool and fun but its not fun driving from gym to gym really takes away from the whole point of what the company wants when they killed remote raids. also doesnt feel safe cause some people just drive crazy

I have had a theory for a while of why they havent released so many gen8 pokemon yet and want to know if the theory sounds good.
We all love Mega pokemon, they are good for grinding candy, raids and cool to change the pokemons appearance. But right now we got like 8-9 megas left to get released, then what? Gigantamaxing.
In gen 8 games Sword and Shield it was a big thing to dynamax your pokemon to make it bigger and stronger, but some pokemon like gengar and lapras got gigantamax form, like megas but they become bigger aswell, so I think when all the megas are released I think we will get more gen8 pokemon with this as another Mega system that works the same way

If they don't get rid of those dang baby faces and give us our old avatars back with just hair and weight customization I'll be upset tbh, I hate looking at my character. Which means a lot when some of us paid money for outfits or accesories that now look worse.

The only thing that the bug type is good for is collecting a whole bunch of them. And then at the end, put on a lucky egg and evolve them all good for XP.
I’ve been seeing a few Scythers but it seems like they are rare spawns.

This event has been god awful in terms of spawns. There ARE bugs that people like, but they aren't exactly getting boosted. Scyther and Nincada are the only ones I've seen, and they're super rare when they should be normal spawns. You absolutely had it right that the spawns are terrible.
Larvesta should've been a rare spawn, and they should've released Tarountula, 110%. The only good thing I got from the Sustainability event was a shiny Drilbur from the walk 2km research task. Larvesta should definitely be more accessible now, like no one's paying for incubators anymore, just to get a Larvesta 😂 just let the people have it

Very fair title tbh didn’t get anything but a hundo paras and that was from GBL rewards, and in all honesty the rest of the events we have for this month are looking kinda dry this month started strong but seems like it’s gonna end as one of the most forgettable months for this game this year🤷🏽♂️
