I get vibes for a few transit systems around the world -- Names: San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle Station / stops: Boston, San Francisco (city), Paris - Close station spacing in the city center Sounds: North American (in general) Really nice. :)
Thought the same. I live in a major city, and the only time they may be that close is if it’s connecting to another line that shoots off into another area of the city.
@@andrewmay9927 not true at all. Center city philadelphia has a train the runs under the center city along side a under ground tram. You can actually see the next station.
City Hall and B'way stations in Camden are even CLOSER! They are about 30-45 seconds apart. Shortest on the PATCO. Franklin Square's re-opening might break it, though....
Being someone who lives in SF Bay Area, I love the SF-inspired station names and skyline! You even got the train announcement from Muni and new BART trains lol 👍🏽
metro / trains can handle only very gentle slopes. for me, one of the most interesting tasks is to design metro and train routes to have as minimal slopes as possible. i think my job was good only if there are no slopes (never happened) or if they are at such small angle that they are almost invisible. otherwise, it is called roller coaster :)
Honestly I did consider that, but I wanted a model close to San Francisco, and stations tend to be close together there so that's why each downtown stop is only 3 blocks apart.
@@ParaxisOfficial I was gonna say that SF downtown does feature very close stations, but the rest of the BART system is very far apart. Given the map size in game I can't blame you for placing the stations close though.
came back to this video, don't know that you'll see this and don't know that you'll care now that 2 is out, but there are BART legacy fleet cars for the metro overhaul mod.
How can you do this? I play Cities Skylines too but I can't seem to do anything about it. Do I need any particular DLCs or mods to be able to do these first person rides?
The slopes on this line are just crazy high

Kinda getting Chicago vibes from the sounds
Love your city only critique I have is how close the stations are other than that this is amazing!

@@missym877 in most cities the stations are close if the metro runs above or below the city center.
@@SeanSwann1 not to the point that you can see the next station, that's a wee bit dramatic.

I wish every Cities Skylines metro/train/tram ride YT video was like this
Beautiful city, awesome detail, love being able to see it in first person
8:34 Is that girl on the platform alright? She's looking like Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
I just noticed lol
you have a very lovely city, also great editing.
Thanks!

Beautiful city, but don't you think that the distances between stations are too short?

Try Septa those stops and are close 1 block and 2 blocks apart you got 2nd 5th 8th 11th 13th 15th 30th 33rd 40th 42nd 52nd 56th 60th milborne and 69th
I watched part of your tram video, and I can tell you that I got the SF literally right off the bat, just the apartments gave it away lol
Dear god, the Hunting Oscillation on those trains!
Love the added sound effects

So detailed! Good job!
Lowkey uses BART flert of the future sounds
Yessir, it's from a video in the description.
one station each 10 meters
@4:40 had no clue the stations could be underground like this, I’ve never seen another designer have this set up.
It's called Metro Overhaul Mod
That’s cool you have the Breda propulsion
Incredible!
Sounds like Bart Motors and Door Chimes.
That's because those are actual BART motors and chimes :)
This is amazing and inspiring
this feels very bart-esque
Layout reminds me a lot of Victoria, BC.
i have a flight at 10pm. ill have to catch the 10am metro!
Wow so cool your city looks amazing, how did you ride your metro first person ?
With this mod right here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=406255342
Do the same with another metro line please.
I feel like I'm riding with HAL 9000, if your don't get it, your not old enough!
This is too cool bro
This is so cool!
how did you make the train announcements? Did you record them using your own voice? Also how did you make that map in the starting of the video?
The train announcements are from a text-to-speech translator, and I made that map from a screenshot + paint.net
@@ParaxisOfficial could you tell me which TTS software?
@@PlannerCarlos Can't say due to legal reasons, but it's one of the top results if you Google Text-to-Speech
@@ParaxisOfficial thanks
Dude, soo cool. Do the trains actually play sound like this when your in a camera view?
Unfortunately not, I pulled the sound from a video in the description!
If u want there is a sound pack u can bet where they actually sound like trains but they won’t have announcements
Heheheh, Tenderloin District
Is there a series or just videos like these ?
Just videos like these, I didn't make a series for this city.
Paradox Addicts I’d love for you to make a series out of these , it looks great !
@@masonscaggs3554 Thanks! I might make a series for my next build, trying to plan out a stereotypical American big yard suburb type of area right now

What mod do you use for anouncments on the train
Very good stuff!
Oh hi this old gamer!
I'm speechless
that underground station, is that from sunset harbour dlc or an asset? last time i play cities skylines, i cant see underground tunnel and station.
It's from the Metro Overhaul Mod
@@ParaxisOfficial okay thanks
I wish this was possible on console
How do you make curved stations like sunset district?
Can you actually ride 1st person? Or does it require mods?
Mods
What map are you using?
you might have to reduce theamount of train cause thats causing traffic
I wanna move here
So your basically saying you wanna move to the Bay Area?
Station distance is too short in downtown
How did jou get the tunnels for it?
why are the stations so close to east other lol?
how does your tunnel show?
what mod allows you to do this?
How you first person underground??
Can we get rides on the other lines
How do you get interior view?
The graphics?
that's the game's fault
I'm using a whole bunch of mods to make the game look better, you can find them in the description!

station is to close
Your timelapses were good? Why these
Because I'm not interested in EU4 anymore, I've played my fair share and it's not something I want to be doing in the future.
