You have a vision and lots of patience! Old homes are full of expensive surprises. I'm impressed that you are not cutting corners but it freaks me out that you are not wearing protective footwear!

In 2 months it will be 5 years since you posted the first video that you bought this $5000 house, Sept. 2018. I am so glad you are finally starting on the foundation issues. Keep the momentum going Barry. It's time to make a dent on the projects on the inside of this house.

Man I can't wait to hang out in the house on a snowy day. Your stick-to-it'ness is boss level and inspiring. Thanks my buddy Barry from Iowa;) PS: I found a gun under the seat of an old VW bus I bought back in the 90s. I kept it ;) can't have too many unregistered guns in my opinion

A little bit at a time and you will get it done. Always lots of repairs in an old house. Hang in there.

I saw someone with a house like that. They put like foam block isolation and radon layer and a concrete floor on top of that.

Im no builder but to bad you can't use wood boxes along the out side walls where the brick is and fill them with concrete and when it dries remove the wood?

Trust that internet people will help out. Put your email in your next video, and ask for help. Out of 40,000 subscribers, you are bound to get someone in Iowa (or close by) to come along and help.

If I were trying to fix that a little at a time the first thing I would do is just remove about 1 foot wide of the bricks from below the sill plate creating a 1 foot gap every 4 feet . At this point the wall is still resting on 3 foot sections of brick . In the gap I would then dig down to the depth needed to put in a little concrete pad about 12" x 12" about 6 inches thick. I would then just install some uprights perhaps 4x4's from the pad to the bottom of the sill plate. These would be temporary as the sill will not be level at this point. If you keep the 4 x 4 to the left or right of the hole you will be able to come along later and run a string from one end of the wall to the other If you level that string you can go to each hole and with a bottle jack jack the plate up to the string. Once it is as straight as you are happy with you can replace the temporary 4 x 4 posts with some perminent pressure treated posts screwed down to the concrete with galvanized deck post brackets and through the top of the plate into what are now piers supporting the wall. At that point you can pull the rest of the bricks out between the posts pour a footing between the posts and if you wish replace the bricks back in or cement blocks. To properly level the house you would have to remove all the walls and do this to the entire perimeter using a transit to bring everything up to level. If you don't care you can just go room to room leveling it based on the the level of the last room floor you installed.
