Tanya has just be announced as Whitesnake's new bassist! 😎
What a perfect first video to pop up in my feed and watch (03/17) today! 🍀Thanks to both of you ladies.
Tanya is great, we enjoy when she's on stage with "jam night performances" here in LA. She's a pleasure to listen to.
Just discovered her vids,White Snake concerts!!
She's the life of the stage....Plays great with the greats
Tanya💋💛🎵🎸
Brilliant interview, always wonderful to see female basses making it in the world, not that I'm being bias as it sounds like my family, well my aunties, in Donegal 😊
Tanya, You are a GREAT bassist. As a Berklee Alumni who has played the spectrum of musical genres, You Have It! You’re not just a hot gorgeous bass player. Your CHOPS are there. Keep honing them.
She, Tanya is such a great player. Great stage presence also...
Very cool interview. I lived in LA from 90 to 93. Went to BIT , worked as a filll in bass player there. It's not easy. You deserve so much more success with all the hard work and hours. Peace Chris :)
Irish+bass+incredibly cool = one of the best music interviews ever
As a drogheda man I want to say well done to both ladies. Great bass players and great interview.
Such an insightful interview! Thank you Team!!
great interview, I loved it!
Nice interview. Her recipe for success translates into just about anything you want to pursue. Great work ethic, chops, consistency & being able to work with people goes a long way.
Couldn't normally pay me to see Whitesnake but with her in the band I might do it!!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Great interview
From a Bass player here in Tullamore in Eire
Great interview, -- I watched it the day it came out, and it's had me thinking ever since...
On Being More Than A Musician: I think it was Oscar Wilde that said something like, "Rather than being a Noun, I prefer to be Verbing". I've done, and can do a lot of things; and while I love learning music and practicing the bass, and I might someday play with a garage band in some dive bar -- I don't know if I'd ever call myself a bassist. But over the years more than a few people have remarked, "you remind me of a roadie"... And now all I can think about is, -- Where Is THAT Bar!?!
すばらしい💝
Irelands finest.
She's the new bassist for Whitesnake. The first female to ever join the band.
Sadowsky Basses made in NYC. The Rock Music scene in Los Angeles died 5+ years ago. In NYC, the Rock Music scene died decades ago (moved to LA). Of course, if you are a prodigy on Bass like Tanya O' Callaghan, you can do a lot of studio sessions in Hollywood. But record labels only want Pop Princesses and big RAP Artists who can make them $$$$$$. London and Nashville are still the Music Meccas, where great artists can succeed. LA is more of a retirement community for aging Rock Stars. Music for films and TV is still a great gig in Hollywood, but you can't get famous and rich doing that.
Tanya O' Callaghan reminds me so much of Dilana who used to be based in LA, but is in Europe now. #SistersinRock
True 😔
Shes a badass! Shes like the female version of twiggy Ramirez with all the different big bands shes played in. Shes very inspiring, and I admire her work ethic.
So jovial...love ya
Touring with Bruce Dickinson next year 🤘🤘
More Bass power To Irish Women!
Want to see some bass plating too! Teach us something you love to play.
How to stay Healthy on the Road
Go touring with Primal Scream back in the day
I cant understand a word they're saying
Lol
Better than the english spoken in the american south...
