Yeah, I broke and sprained my right ankle three times (break, sprain, sprain) in high school sports. The broken ankle didn't hurt nearly as bad as the subsequent sprains. I was writhing on the ground during those. It may have been the fact that I had previously injured it so many times, but that was over 15 yrs ago and I can still recall the vivid flash of red in my eyes and the sheer pain I felt.
