Car animation - After Effects Tutorial for Beginners

- In this After effects beginner tutorial, we will learn how to Animate a car and also animate it coming to a stop.
I won't be going through how to create the illustration but the process would involve us:
1. Finding illustrations
2. Separating them into layers in Adobe Illustrator
3. Creating a seamless background so we can have the car moving forever
4. Importing into After effects
5. Setting anchor point
6. Creating a Car rig to use with a 'Null object' or moving background.
7. Adding animation to the car body
8. Using 'slider controller' to create engine vibration effects and also to bring it to a stop

Thanks for watching!
Excellent work. Well done. Thank you. 🎉
Thank you so much for this comment! ♥
You are amazing artist.
Thank you so much 🙌
Great tutorial
Thank you!
do you have a video where the animation is moving forward? As though you are driving down a street with houses passing you by on the left and right side of the street? I hope this makes sense
Hi! In that case too, you can just make a wide comp and include all the street, houses etc in the precomp and just animate that precomp moving backwards when the car is making subtle motion
There isn't any link in the description
Hey,
There is, actually! you might need to toggle down to reveal more of the description maybe? :)

Do you take lots of time to do an 8-minute video?
Hi @krisscage! I'd say about 3-4 days. I bet people doing tutorials full-time can do it within 1 or 2 days but I juggle a bunch of things and find it hard to focus on these because the edit part gets boring (even though I love sharing info and teaching.)
