One of the best bands in the era of the best bands of all times...........Drop me off in the late 60's or early 70's and leave me there.................
Even though I was living in San Antonio, the home of Joe Anthony "The Godfather of Rock". This was truly the first rock song I listened to. I wasn't allowed to listen to that heathen rock music. I built a crystal radio from Radio Shack and on one dark night, I put in the earpiece; and this song came on. It was if the Heavens opened up and the Angels were singing in my ear. A very religious experience!
Brought the Atlanta City Auditorium, to it's knees, and the crowd, to it's feet, always will remain in my opinion, one of the best bands, I'll remember, from the era!
Awesome and its wonderful to "see & hear" that your still groovin onward Mr. ✨Peter RIVERA legendary Motown Drummer-Vocalist Rare Earth fame. You and your Music crew delivered : "I Know Im Losing You" such a powerhouse Soulful Classic Written by Norman Whitfield ...and "performed" with rich perfection Originally by The TEMPTATI🌟NS and later w/much respect by 💫RARE EARTH 1970 "Ecol💎gy" album. I love both Classic song versions: MOT⭐WN forever. Peace.
Man I remember in the 60's and 70s listening to groups like Rare Earth, Steppin Wolf, CHicago, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, The Temptations were always one of my favorites.
Met a girl at their concert in Kankakee, IL. back in the early 70's. Danced with her all night. And when I asked for her phone number I realized I didn't have a piece of paper to write it down. So I took off my belt and she wrote it on my belt. Memories.......
That´s what they used to call it ROCK. when a rock band was on the stage was unstopable. neither a power dropout could stop a rock band on the stage. Bravo Pete Rivera. one of the greatest performers of our time.
pete is dynamo, inside, where it counts,my little is bro is drummer they burn to different light than we do,i miss ray monette, here,he is extra ordinary, lead rhythm man, outstanding line up
I don't usally swear here on youtube as a rule...but FUCK'N HELL you guys are the shit! Peter I have really just found out about Rare Earth and I'm now a fan and shit I have a few favorite singers who have influenced me but you are definatly up there now! And your drumming I gotta show my brother who is the drummer in the family your talent!
I recorded this Rara Earth: Ecology record. I burned it on the CD a while ago. Great band. One question: how does that "echoing" effect to his voice? That effect is haunting, yet awesome.
To Jim Kennedy in Alberta...."where are you when I need you?!".....Terrace,where the scenery is still outstanding. Always wondered how you were doing...R U still married to Ruth?
Is this the original Rare Earth I saw in 1970. I know that the drummer does the singing. But I just don't know if they are the original. The sound is great ad playing is exceptional. Cleartwater.
Peter "made the Band" I don't believe any of these guys are the originals,,BUT if I was "on the air" again somewhere,,I'd be playing this version. TheMojoMan*com my webpage
@THEMOJOMANsince1959 apparently you think I was insulting them when I didn't mean to it was meant as a compliment time to let it go. This song is amazing!

extraordinario PETE RIVERA
From one Studio Drummer to another Love it !
That studio must have had one hell of a drum room to contain/capture all of Pete's nuances for his sound. He is meant to play Large and Load.
