I see a lot of the high schools are going back to some of there older material and I’m glad. Got to give the kids things they can play effectively. Carver has impressed me. I haven’t seen them like that since like 2013-2014
Carver definitely impressed me. OAN, I personally get tired of high school instructors teaching “college level material,” without teaching college level technique and execution. It’s doing the students a huge disservice to teach material from a college they may aspire to go to without also teaching them the building blocks to play the material correctly and excellently. “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” I digress.
Also: there’s a huge difference between an actual instructor and an alumni that’s really a glorified band booster that looks after the percussion section. I almost never speak in this manner, publicly, but I’m sincerely disappointed for a myriad of reasons. Ok, I think I’m finished.
Carver definitely took this battle to me everybody had their dirty moments but they was the most organized bases playing alike all that matters it’s levels to this
A lot of this material I’m hearing isn’t original what I’m hearing is a lot of A&T Cood Steel replica’s I will say it’s good to see someone taking interest in the band program because passion needs to be brought back to Carver, and Parkland bands haven’t been the same since the early 2000’s
The smaller drumline with just the two snares was the best one literally!! The rest gets 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. It's proof that you don't need a big drumline to be great!!
