Is your schools' marching band going to win at finals this/next weekend?
yes obviously
Our circuit (Ohio Music Education Association) actually doesn’t to “competition” at state finals. You just get a rating! But. Hopefulky we’ll do well! It’s the first time we’ve qualified in 4 years. Small band problems. But. We’ll see!
Maybe, we made area, that's this Saturday, can't wait, we have a shot to make to finals, and hopefully state
🗣YEA🗣
We won it last weekend 💪
Hearing the drumline play your cadences was a jaw-dropping moment
bro they always play them, those are Ud's official cadences. and he wrote them so he cool for dat
Imagine you hear that and think someone’s watching an EMC video over the PA speakers lol
I'm honestly shocked that the parking lot at Pencader Plaza was that empty on a Saturday... it's usually a madhouse in there. I'm glad the UD drumline looks like they're having fun on a game day. I recently went back to see the band at my alma mater, and they are frigging intense... it was like walking the lot at a drum corps event.
I remember going to Kmart in Pencader Plaza!!
@@rangerbriman I miss Kmart so much.
It's been 20 years since I marched in UD drumline. Extremely happy to hear all the beats I love are still around. Adam Ant holds a special place in my heart.
Go back man and do this band thing.
I’m a sophomore in high school and band is really fun so I never want to leave it and it’s nice knowing that there is still opportunities for me to play in the marching band even after I graduate college
Omg same!! 💗
4:00 The Band doing your cadence made my day
He wrote it for us. We get to listen to it at every game day and parade we're in.
Hey do you know the name of the one played at 4:29
@@Brady-Toresdahl "Fake Hype" aka "The Tenor Saxes do their little dance"
So who the heck did you get to follow you around and record everything? Looked like it was a lot of fun!
6:45 bro I started laughing lol
My high school played that same arrangement for I love rock and roll for our parade, got hit with nostalgia for a bit when I heard that. This was my last year marching, too😢
Hey EMC! I live in northern Delaware and its crazy to see you performing and hanging out at UD, as I've been there my whole life! I'm applying as a Music Ed major for the upcoming fall semester in 2023 and I'm super excited. Good to see one of your favorite UA-camrs hanging around your hometown!
Newark born and raised here.
Born in Upstate NY but lived in de my whole life
Love how you guys played False Hype! My favorite Cadence for sure!
As someone in the UDMB I thought I recognized you!
I’m not in drumline so I didn’t get to say hi. Glad to have the alumni back!
He should have worn his baseball football shirt 😜
my high school started playing juice and false hype last marching band season and its so fun hearing the songs played with a giant battery. We had two tenors, two snares, 3 basses and 2 cymbals LMAO
What? No ULTIMATE TENOR marching?!?!?! come on man, that's one of the best things about alumni band... coming back and flexing on the actives :D
Man I just got back from UD Band Day (the one where they invited all the high schools) and had a great time, UD really knows how to have a good time
yo what band, i was there as a high school junior trumpet
@@michaelvillarreal2240 oh you know, a Small Band from huntington high school ran by that director lady thats name is Soooo hard to pronounce
@@michaelvillarreal2240 jokes aside I'm in your band dude -_-
my school (American Fork high school marching band) is a High school, its one our best shows yet and we hope on at least getting top 12 in the nation.
Just got done with MCT and watching this on the way to my school house!
How cool it that... listening to others play a piece that you composed. Nice!
The alumni band should call themselves "The A Team," Because the snare drummer at 5:15 is giving me Hannibal Smith vibes.
He loves it when a band comes together...
He eats human brains? And absorbs their power, using it to become the best, most knowledgeable public speaker/professor on earth? Oh wait....that's Hannibal Lecture.
My band actually went there this year all the way from maryland, it was so cool meeting other bass 4s from the different states and playing as a group of 1000
Cigar guy is living his best life
seeing the older man in the snare line makes my heart so happy
I actually got to do something sorta similar when my step son & daughter was in middle school band! With me being out of high school for several years, it was quite fun to have had the opportunity to work with (and show em a lil' sump'in sump'in) these kids!
I was there and I got a picture, it was awesome seeing you there!
Boy that took me back. I haven't gone back for the alumni band at U of Iowa, but that reminded me of our game days. I was playing there when Kevlar heads were just becoming a thing.
Hey Eric! You have been a huge inspiration for me and in high school I’m going to join the indoor percussion ensemble and the tenors in their marching band!
I'm so honored on his behalf! Wishing you the best of luck with that, on his behalf and my behalf. I believe in you! That's on your dad's behalf. Don't forget to wash behind your ears, on behalf of your mom. I'd like to thank Eric, my dad, my mom and the random guy on YT who channeled them all. That was on your behalf. You're ready!
Catching up on unwatched EMCproductions videos ... under THIS account! With Ads!!! Earning Eric the big bucks!!! EPIC Eric!!!
Makes me miss this and drumming, I'll try to go to my alma mater's home coming more often
This looks like fun! For alumni, y’all sound clean!! Nice beats EMC!
Loving the herta tie at 1:46! Looks like a fun time and great alumni turnout. Also Jim Ancona...awesome!
Eric im so happy i just played in my first concert (Percussion) and did pretty well!
I love the "Ya I wrote that one!"
UDMB, I was in there and I was shocked that I was able to play in the same band!!
nice to see tuba rep here!
edit: same with bass!
3:55
relatable. I'm 5 foot six 120 and carry the quads at my school. Theres a lot of pain involved, but its always fun
YOUR SAYING I COULD HAVE SEEN YOU PLAYYYYYY. I live right down the road from UD and hear them play all the time
That actually looks like so much fun!
16:05 must be great knowing Tom Holland spared some time just to visit your school
The sixtuplet bass splits were super clean! Go bassline!
I wish my university did alumni band... 😭
3:02 beer on drum; my favorite part…. (So far)
THE CADENCES😫😫😫
4:00 they made the EMC outro into a real life cadence 🤓
That's because Eric wrote it, first for the High School where he was teaching, then enhanced it when he was a grad student at University of Delaware!
My school performs it
Always preferred that to jig 2
@@theclimbingchef anything is better than that
Eric wrote it specifically for our school UD and it's been used ever since at every game day and parade.
Aww, "in the wild" Eric really is shy and awkward 🤩. Somehow, this makes me like you even more 😂. Guess I can relate 🤷🏾♀️. But seriously, the line playing your cadences??? That was freaking amazing! You were absolutely glowing with pride...as you should be!
Dude that quad line (that’s what we called it 😂) was dope ! I always played snare or bass . I would love to learn quads !
I’ve participated in UD band day every time for the 2 past years and it’s absolutely beautiful, I felt chills from hearing the drum major’s voice
I played the cowbell tree both years (a broken half of a ride stand with 3-4 cowbells attached to it)
when they played the intro to your vids in the parking lot:👌🏻
Our band just went there for a BOA and it was so fun!
The kid at 9:30 on the right must've forgot his instrument...🤣
When you guys played Y'all ready for this, that was cool.
our drum tech is in this drumline
Our school cadence sounds very similar to the one you wrote actually 🤠
Damn the basses hit that shit. nice
Juice, who lol gotta love that all the instructors in Delaware went to UD and then released the cadence rotation in high schools 😂😂
I remember that Yellow shirt. That was a fun year.
Good memories of marching on that field with the UMASS Band. Some UMASS blood at UD with your director and Jim Ancona!
That is the best sound I’ve heard out of Remo Pinstripe heads
Omg love the new video
Ah so this is what us band kids are gonna grow up to become lol😂
This is so cool!
This is so fun!
LFG UD is the best. Finally someone from Delaware
Those are a lot of snares also those guys smoking the cigars looked badass
I love the Unionville high school representation! GO LONGHORNS!!!
This school is great, our marching band came here like a month ago for BOA mid-atlantic regionals, sure is cool to see you here!
I was there for that BoA too! What school are you from?
@@aki4357 Susquehannock, If i remember correctly, we placed 15 out of 28
I like how they're playing "white boy smooth" and most of them don't know that the guy who wrote it, is in the drumline!
The fact that you had them play white boy smooth and false hype is golden
I played one of these cadences in high school drum line
I ❤ bass drum
Dude I live in East Newark & drive by that plaza like all. the. time.
I was just in that stadium a few weeks ago for BOA
EMC's videos make me feel okay an inspire me to go after what i want in life
Our drum line plays the cadence you made for your intro now
The last thing they played was fire
Lmao my drumtech is in the snare line
I was actually there with my band for band day a few weeks ago.
Lol that fun!
i love the cadence 1
Oh hey I also went to UD. Go Hens!
yooooo this video is my favorite video of yours. My bass tech is warren. he was the one on bottom bass im sure u know him. this was sick. and yes i march for cab calloway HS marching band and i think we will win cuz good.
For Halloween you should play the cadence “Spider”.
Good morning! This is video number 22 of me asking Eric to make a set of tenors out of differently sized snare drums.
I think you have to ask him 69 times
i wish my marching band was this advanced XD
No one kept their grace note down! 🤣
It’s crazy I played on that field a few weeks ago for boa… crazy…
Same. What band are you in?
the season is basically over for my school lol
Good morning!
Video 7 of asking EMC to make a video of him playing the Rock Band game series
Sad I missed this year, I'll have to make it for 2023.
I want that sick mapex bag
OMG, the guy playing snare right in front of you for most of the clips is my drumline tech, Dylan Lettie, no way 😱
hey will
And THAT'S where your intro cadence comes from!
I just bought your baseball football shirt
Hey @EMCproductions wondered what type of tenors should I get? I’m to poor to get ones that cost 1k though.
If we tried the bucket flip with the cymbals in my high school (or any tricks, for that matter), we'd snap our wrists. Most of our "marching" cymbals were ancient and probably repurposed ride cymbals that weighed a ton. DX
You should be an imposter at more schools... Have fun while u can!
I had alumni come to my high school for the 100th year of the band and our oldest alumni graduated in 1976
Bro really went :D at 4:52
Best part is when they do EMC intro in 11:46
I PERFORMED THERE WITH MY SCHOOL AT THE BOA REGIONAL A FEW WEEKS BACK!!!!
What type of marching mounting buckle do you use? the ones ive got its to high for me and i need something lower thats better to play with
