Another brand that offers excellent rimless and other frames is Austria-based Silhouette. Another brand that many loved is Tag Heuer, which was very unfortunately discontinued a couple of years ago. Both provide excellent titanium frames
I must admit that your customization of the Reykjavik Alba is almost more exquisite than the original! Are you able to give a price range for the customized version please?
I’m so happy with my rimless frames. I would have never gone for these glasses but watching your videos gave me confidence and knowledge on what to ask for.
Great advice. The rimless McLaren are amazing 😎 You’re the expert at customising rimless glasses imo. Love all the ones you’ve made for me. Gotta get some more 👍
Hey. Wow. They all look great. The Reykjavik Eyes though look super cool. I haven't seen those before. The Alba's will now be on my list for sure! Thanks for a good video.
I like the aviar how they gradually in the sun. You have a very great outgoing personality. Your very photogenic you can wear many styles and shapes of glasses.
Hey Robert, can you please showcase the flair glasses at 8:23 in a shorts video or something? Im intrested in getting something like these but im not sure how they really are Thanks 👍
@@thespectaclefactory Yeah but I am glad McClaren is taking over it seems I do like the sportswear brands but I have heard that in the EU and UK you can get 1.9 high index lenses but they are made exclusively of glass so not suitable for sports and other risky endeavours as they sit very close to your eyes and it is more like party lenses rather than daily wear but yeah I'd be curious to get a pair done if I ever get the chance to visit you in person in the UK. Currently wearing Oakley full rim specs with 1.74 high index lenses anti reflective coating in blue. I am quite happy with this pair. Might look into getting half rim frames next.
I do wear rimless since feb. 2018. What you find as a special feature on McLaren glasses, well, it's patended and called "ear socks" by Oakley, and they have it a hell long time....as you might see, i love Oakley styles, since 1993, ever. I love Lindberg frames, but they're expensive....i was lucky to buy a new glasses frame, which was from a good design brand, for like 1/4 of the asking price, new.
You really should look into TiDou rimless glasses (They're Japanese). They screwless and customizable. From selecting what colour you want to the bridge type to lense type and the entire thing can be assembled within 30 seconds. Getting my pair in a few weeks ;)
Really enjoying your site for first time. Csn you point the in right direction for a amber yellow prescription lens with great coatings. Thx. Cheers. James from Massachusetts
Got my first pair of rimless glasses and they happen to be cartier wood frames. My mom is an optician and she has a client who wanted to get rid of his cartier collection and I managed to buy them at a VERY good price. He said he bought them years ago so not sure how old they are. The wood looks like it’s 3 colors. Navy on the outside, red in the inside, and sandwiched in between those two is a very light colored wood. The hardware is in platinum. I was curious so I took them to 2 authorized cartier dealers and the only info I got was that they’re real and they weren’t sure how old they are.
I just feel the rimless makes one look so old and snobbish, though I would recommend the half rimmed aviator though, just to adventure in. Do you recommend rimless for high prescription like -8 or +8 and above?
Hi Robert, great video, as always! I have Gucci rimless glasses, which I don't like the lens shape, but none of the optometrists here won't change the shape. Is it possible for I can send the frame to you, and you could make a new pair of glasses?
HI thank you for this episode you always find the words to describe the frames witch is something hard sometimes . i have a question for you the magma orange lens you showed was a Zeiss lens or another brand ?? thanks
Robert I need some help with my rimless frames. I’ve never had the nose pads and mine are not comfortable. What can I do so my frames are comfortable ( nose pads)? Thank you.
Could someone please tell me how much the flair 1600 costs, I am thinking about buying a pair but the closest authorized optician is 30 miles away. I just want know the price because I dont really want to pay 400 euro for a pair. I live in Germany.
Can you make the rimless McLaren with prescription's glass at the nose bridge part transition smoother so it doesn't have that different glass thickness look which looks like joined instead of actual one piece lens?
I bought a cheap rimless glasses to see if i actually can fit in to it. Cause i read that mostly soft face people can wear them. But i wanna wear them when i go to party so i can wear my make up without being disturb by glasses i wear

I have been wearing silhouette for over 20 years. The problem is that optometrist say that they can adjust them but many can’t and end up deforming the temples. So it is important to choose not a wobbly pair of temples, with right length and the right nose bridge……Otherwise this people that are suppose to adjust our temples, become our worst nightmare! Can you talk about adjusting the temples to make them fit perfectly comfortable especially on progressives like mine.??? Thanks
Zeiss made the lenses, but I had to glaze them in-house. It took several months of work to perfect the design, which ultimately was based on both machine and hand finishing.
Started watching 🎥 last September. Went 2 get zeiss glass lens from 5 upscale boutique no on zeiss glasses -8 plus all they kept saying is glass is not safe here in the USA.

Thanks!! The frame is $450, tint combination $150 and the lenses would start from around $150 also. Of course that's a very ball park figure

Robert another nice video on rimless glasses with tints

Hi Robert, great video as usual! What do you think about the rimless glasses from Lunor or the brand Lunor in general?
I like Lunor but I actually didn't know they made rimless glasses. I just looked now and I like the vintage aesthetic!
I just feel the rimless makes one look so old and snobbish, though I would recommend the half rimmed aviator though, just to adventure in.
Do you recommend rimless for high prescription like -8 or +8 and above?
Amazing how versatile a frame… that doesn’t actually have a frame… can be!
I know right!?

I just think there are much better options out there. They make good frames, but the long term reliability is questionable
The only problem with this, is that Arizona doesn’t seem have any of these brands available 😢
That's fine, we have lots of clients in Arizona. We can always set up a video call to style you, or even work over email
