I had a pair of the HS55 Stereo when they first came out and loved them. I just didn't find myself using wired headsets too often so I gave them to a friend that was in need of a new headset. If there's a decent sale sometime, I might pick one of these up.
I own a set of Corsair HS80 wireless headphones and absolutely love these. The sounds are so good. Yes the battery life is not great (about 8 hours is listed) however every headset has its cons and that's what this one has. While this new headsets have some great improvements they also regress on one big design (which you also mentioned). The HS80 has a extremely comfortable double head band that I also have lack of hair and I find this so much more comfortable than regular headbands like these new ones use. This just seems to be a lazy design to use (and very outdated now). They really need to bring back the double stretchy head band and I would consider upgrading for all the other improvements they have made but it is a big no from me until they make this improvement. Hoping they read this reply.
I also have them and for 2 years I couldn't update the firmware. And also the head piece has cracked, because of the heavy use. And maybe it will break. They are not very comfortable aswell .I only bought them because of the mic. I can't recommend them. For that price a bit disappointed.
Paid 79.99 on Amazon for the 55's - $40 price difference convinced me. The $20 normal difference would have me thinking about just spending a little more.
As an owner of the hs55 surround I highly do not recommend these headsets I’ve had to return two pairs due to the cheap plastic curves and both cracked on the same spot as the first pair. They sound so good and mic is fantastic but they really dropped the ball in the build quality.
Guys i cant find a headset they are just all to small for my head. I am currently using my HyperX cloud revolver and they are fine but i want something wireless. I tried the cloud 2, Stinger 2, Corsair Hs80, Virtuoso, Logitech g pros, Kraken v2 non of them fit. The blacksharks v2 did fit but i found them not comfortable, does anyone have like any experience? I need something the size of the blacksharks.
Im not a fan of the "grills" that Corsair puts on their headsets. It always makes them look open back when they're not. Its not a big deal to NOT have open back, but it would be nice to actually have the option if it's your thing.
Did the audio bleed or echo when plugged into ps5 controller? The mic would be flipped up but my friends can hear the game audio and them selves through the headset and mic. Heard similar stories, does anyone else have this issue?
Sadly when used on consoles last generation or current models the chat microphone has no noise cancellation!! Apparently noise cancellation is a luxury only computer players are allowed to enjoy now while using a gaming headsets to play with 🤷🏻♂️, never used to be that way!
Help, I have the wireless HS55, when I turn them on the sound does not automatically activate, I have to do it manually, and when I turn them off the sound does not change to the TV, I am connected to the console by the USB adapter. What will happen? It is normal? Or could it be that the Corsair is not a device authorized by Sony?
I really with the Virtuoso XT had a better range or a an optional longer range vs HiFi audio. They are the most versitile headsets for work and play, back to back, every day. But the range kills them, as I am pretty much pinned to the office and adjcesent room during work calls. I wish there was something inbetween HS65 and XT to fill the gap. Perhaps not as advanced but still simultanious 2.4 and BT wit hdecent range... HS80 is a perfec candidate for the upgrade! BTW, do you know of any other brand that has an endless volume wheel that allows to adjust the ststem volume vs the headset itself? That is the main reasn I dislike the steel series. That and they are not as comfirtable for all day use.
One thing I forgot to mention, is the wireless range. OMG it is so good, could walk all over my house without a single drop!
Compare them to the artic nova pros wireless
@@MrMikeypratsprice wise they’d be more comparable to the nova 7s
I have the wired hs65 and the only thing I wish it had was a removable mic

I really wish Corsair would start making Xbox versions of their wireless models. I’d love a HS80 that worked wirelessly on Xbox.
Preach I wish the same. There must be some extra fee or something otherwise I can't imagine why they ignore millions of potential customers.
@@zerorequiem42 They definitely have to pay Microsoft a fee but I can’t imagine it’s a ridiculous amount. They would get it back with sales.
Agreed. I love the 65 surround with 3.5 on series X. Slap on Dolby atmos and your good to go.
I just snagged the 55s for on sale for $75. Haven’t tried them out but I’m so happy that I got it at the price you mentioned
the new tatoos will need time to get used to... but as usually the second I see a video from you I watch and like not always in that order ☺️
I wish the price difference was simultaneous Bluetooth on the 65’s. That would make more sense.

LETS GO!! Get a label maker to keep up with all our dongles! If you’re looking for a budget headset there are so many solid options.

If comfort was your only factor, what is the most comfortable wireless headset in your opinion?
Nice new tattoos brother looking good, I have the wired hs55 and I love them so stinking cozy and I love the sound stage
As an owner of the hs55 surround I highly do not recommend these headsets I’ve had to return two pairs due to the cheap plastic curves and both cracked on the same spot as the first pair. They sound so good and mic is fantastic but they really dropped the ball in the build quality.
I love your microphone impression. ❤

Are you going to review the new Audeze Maxwell ? Audeze just shipped mine and I can't wait to get them.
Hi Techne !
Is wired version of HS55/65 better than wireless in term of sound quality ?
yes, and they are on an amazing sale on amazon right now
Thought was the HS645, but you made a typo mistake in description 😀
Awesome vid once again! Thanks for this!

I got HS65 Surround wired headset for $60.
Quite disappointed the mic from the wireless 65 isn’t as good as the wired version.
Hi! Once available, can you make a review of Tecware's latest keyboard? Thank you.
Thank you 👏👏🏽👏🏿
My question is what platforms are these headsets compatible with? I’m sorry if you mentioned & I just missed it
MAc, PC, PS$/5, Switch
Did the audio bleed or echo when plugged into ps5 controller? The mic would be flipped up but my friends can hear the game audio and them selves through the headset and mic. Heard similar stories, does anyone else have this issue?
Epos h6pro, Beyerdynamic DT 770pro, or arctis nova 7/pro which would you say is the better buy?

Can you please compare them with steelseries nova 7x
As these launch the price of the wired HS65 has dropped around 50%.
Thanks Techne good review.
thanks man
When can we see a Audeze maxell review ?

Where's the Audeze Maxwell review?
The shopping links in the description aren't there
Does the wired HS65 wired has better mic and sound quality than the wireless version?

Did you recommend those ones instead of the Steelseries nova 7x?
Can either headsets be used in wired mode? I don’t see 3.5mm on either so I’m wondering if the USB C can be use for audio or it’s only for charging.
What’s your current daily driver headset for gaming? I’m still on Audeze Penrose but looking to get my son a nice pair of something …..
Still epos h6 pro
do you recommend these or the Cloud Core Wireless?
Curious to this also
Would you recommend hs55 over black shark v2x?
does both of them not support simultaneous bluetooth or does the 65s support it?
Better than the HS80 ?
Do any of these models have side tone when used with PS5?
Does wireless headsets have noticeable latency?
I need the hs65 wireless for xbox though
The disrespect to these companies not making stuff for Xbox is why other companies like steel series and Astro have better sales
I consider wired around $35 (blackshark ruined us :)) and wireless about $60.
Can you do a video on Best Headphones under 30 dollars I think that would get a lot of views.
I can not find one and I do not have a lot of money.
Audeze maxwell
I pre order it apparently they’re already shipping the ps5 version
can you use any of these two headsets wireless for both playstation and xbox ?
Only PlayStation and PC.
@@garethg8226 ok thanks
HS65 Wirless o Void Elite?
Mic waaaaay worse than wired version (HS65) and I think wireless headphones supports something like 24bit 48khz sound quality at best
Are the earcups removable?
yes, but they are on a bracket so not easily replaceable
No simultaneous Bluetooth is a no no buy! Why would you do that Corsair?
one’s black and one’s white
Do the hs55 work on Xbox series s
Stay True? You missed a chance there buddy. STAY COZY
lol
$100 for wireless yeah
Too expensive at this point just go for hs80
I like Razer kraken v3 pro wireless headset the most of all .
$100-$150 USD, is budget for wireless.
50
wired: 100€
wireless: 150€+
ugh, what is that mic. definitely a downgrade from hs80
Word!
I don't like Corsair headsets, the headbands are always the most uncomfortable.
Bald headseat.
I would like to see more Meshed Gaming Headset’s like the SteelSeries ova . They are not lot out in the market and I am really sensitive person 😢
