That's what happens when you put it on the internet😂. Someone puts a cool spot on the web, someone watches the video, goes there, tells their friends, then they go there and tell their friends etc. Before you know it, it's a tourist attraction. Then your favorite spot is ruined 😢
@@flyingturtle4313 or you could see it as you're letting other people experience amazing places! =D But, yes, when they become straight down tourist destinations it's a bit sad! =/
That crashed airplane was our friends Titan Tornado that veered off the runway while taking off with a left quartering tailwind. I don't know when this video was taken but the accident happened on October 18, 2019. I was there for the incident and nobody was hurt.
So I binged watched the series again and can’t get enough of the awe-mazing and beautiful destinations y’all visited. Hoping to see more videos with miles and his cool 🛫.. greetings from schertz, tx
I honestly don't know how, with the quality of video you make, why these series don't get you more subscribers. I hope they pay well for what you do have. I hope you continue making content
Chartered a plane for the day out of Moab with the pilot being the former Head Ranger at Grand Canyon NP. Spent seven hours seeing the 'Big 6' National Parks from a couple of thousand feet. Bucket list thing for me, worth every dollar. We stopped at Marble Canyon for lunch, seeing this vid brought great memories. I have to say that taking off directly over the canyon at the end of the runway was pretty exciting.
The level of production of your videos just continues to get better and better. I follow all the UA-cam heavy hitter aviators. Your video production and the tone and tenor of your stuff has risen to the top, Josh. Thanks for another great video! If you get to Lake Havasu City, AZ lunch is on me. :-)
Welcome to the geotagged world. It's not about the experience but about letting people know you have made the same experience as your favorite instagrammer. You, sir, are different. You're content is informative, your footage is brilliant and your words are inspiring. I've wanted to fly my entire life but life itself has gotten in the way. 2020 is my year. Keep up the good work and thank you.
This is great. Same place as another video but second time. Love your different camera angles and drone shots. Nice footage of Horseshoe Bend of the Grand Canyon from the ground and air too. He says now have to pay to go there and lots of people. Nice pictures of the Marble Canyon of the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas. Thanks for sharing.
I liked it....I really loved it...Outer cams, inside cams, post production, production are getting much better and professionals in every video and I really enjoyed while I am watching. Thanks very much for your great flights.
Jason, Beautiful country, back in my youth the late sixties, I backpacked into the Grand Canyon, but aerial views are something else. Looking forward to the next video. Cheers, Rik Spector
Returning from Oshkosh July 2019 my son and I stopped in Page, AZ for sightseeing. Flying Bonanza V-tail P35. Drove to Marble Canyon. The restaurant burned down 2 years ago and was rebuilt completely. Run by local Indian tribe. Excellent food!! Try the Navaho bread. Really good. Just a wonderful place to visit if only for the truly unique vistas. Ran into a lot of French tourists for some reason. They were ecstatic over the desert views.
Should have my PPL completed by the end of the year. I live in Phoenix. L41 is going to be the first flight I take with my wife as my first passenger. Can not wait. Love your content. Been watching for years. You’re videos are what motivated me to pursue my PPL. Well, that and my wife saying, “just do it already.” Think I’ve watched all your various series several times over. AK being my favorite. Next time you’re in AK you should go all the way north to Prudhoe bay (where I work) and Barrow.
So cool. I was up in Boise then as well. I saw my orange and white 182 in your video at 1:45 on Jackson Jet Center Ramp. I just missed you as I went out to the airport to check on my plane after a huge Thunderstorm went through the area. Great video. I enjoy them.
Your so fortunate to live in that part of the world. I would love to fly over these areas. One day maybe. Until then Josh, keep these brilliant uploads coming.
I've been watching your vids since i was in high school and you always inspired me . 991❤️ Id like it if you can come to South Africa so i can take a selfie on N80991. Your flying inspires me
Stunning, absolutely stunning scenery !! It truly is a special place on earth. Once again your filming and editing was as good as it gets by anyone. Your videos are incredible stories. Oh, and the Top Gun insert was priceless.
Hey man, love your videos. I go to a school called Moody Aviation in Spokane Washington, where students receive their A&P as well as private and commercial certs with instrument. Our training prepares us to serve in organizations that fly in the remote jungles of South America, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Africa, as well as Alaska in support of missionaries. Typically flying emergency medical evacs in those areas as well as humanitarian aid apart from missionaries. It’s a 5 year program, and in our 5th year the class does a 2 week extended cross country trip where we split in 2 groups with one group taking 2 206s into the Idaho mountains and the other group taking 2 182RGs down the west coast through tall the Bravos. We meet up in Salt Lake and spend the weekend, switch airplanes and go the other way. Being able to experience back country flying and get mountain flying experience was awesome and some of the most valuable flight experience I have gotten so far. If you ever get a chance you should visit the school, it’s an awesome place with top notch training from highly field experienced instructors. You’d love it. We also get our tail wheel in a fairly modified 185 which is pretty sweet. Anyway, I enjoy your videos a lot. Keep it up.
Have plans to visit Marble Canyon and stay at the lodge on our way back from Alaska in June 2020. Will be coming in late afternoon early evening with an early morning departure to try and avoid problems with the density altitude. Will pay close attention to what the POH numbers are. Followed by a Grand Canyon tour and then off to Sedona before heading back to Tennessee. Thanks to your videos for even knowing about this place. Looking forward to Part 6.
I have stayed at the hotel three times, landed at the airpoert once and boarded the raft at Lees Feerie for the trip down the Colorado River in 1976. Back when there was just one Navajo Bridge.
So you're saying that a year ago you guys published video and pictures of this "Hidden Gem" and now there are throngs of folks going there. Well done !
Thank you for a non-pilot. I have flown a few times locally in a single engine. Once in Maine in a float plane in and out of a lumber jack camp. Great video as always. Take care Spin
Cherokee is a great bush plane ! I'm surprised that there's no more low wing planes in backcountry in USA. Here in France, most of our planes suited for mountain flights are low wings, mostly Robin DR400, Jodel D140, Socata Rallye aaaaand... Cherokee ! I hope one day you'll cross the Atlantic and come fly here (and make some video) in our mountains, in France, like Alps and Pyrénées (more savage than the Alps) and try some our DR400 and Jodels 😁😀😀
Inspired by this video, I landed in Marble Canyon a couple of days ago. Thank you for creating such an amazing content! As a not-too-experienced pilot, I got scared departing into the terrain on RW 03 and departed with a bit of a tailwind instead. I was in a Cirrus sr22. Have you departed RW03?
It's worth it to carry your own set of chocks. Lots of strips in the SW don't have them (or tie downs). It's also NOT a good idea to set a parking brake for an extended period of time.
Never do a power off landing in this country. Fly it to the ground. In, 1956 Art Green owned Cliff Dweller Lodge at Marble Canyon. I was the helper for a geologist . We flew to Cummings Mesa near Navajo mountain. Spent thirty days there, prospecting for uranium. It is surrounded by a 2000 foot ledge. One mule trail in from Rainbow Lodge. Shaped like a three fingered hand. We hiked every rim. Lots of indication of human habitation. The museum curator at Flagstaff said the pottery chips I had were 300-500 years old now, I believe they were more like 10,000 years old . He was probably a Mormon. Iguana

Awesome scenery! Thanks for sharing your adventures. BTW I didn't find a list of your gear and was wondering which drone you fly.
@steveo1kinevo You and @Aviation101 should fly to the Bahama's in 851TB.

Woo hoo! a C-207! One of my favorite airplanes! I flew them in Alaska and was always amazed at how much they can hold.

All of my PPL training was done on a small runway and small airport for that matter haha. I have developed pinpoint accuracy as a result.

Maybe Josh’s experience in Alaska’s remote airstrips and lack of people, is part of the reason he might feel it’s crowded at the horseshoe.
