I can't help but tear up every time I get to hear this song again. Sleeping at last is one of the most special and meaningful artists and writers I've ever heard. Thank you for listening to this and I can't wait for more.
This dude Sleeping at Last has literally never made a bad song. They’re all on some level cool to listen to with something to appreciate. But this song, Snow, and Life are on a whole other level. Not just with his music, but all music.
This is the first song I ever heard from Sleeping At Last and it instantly struck my heart. It became my favorite song and I went to search out more music from Sleeping At Last and it literally changed my life and my outlook on what music can be. Emphasis is another one of my favorite songs. But the Space EP (a song for each planet) is absolutely my favorite of his works. It's so rich lyrically and tells so many stories. I even bought the gorgeous vinyls which is something I have NEVER done... just because the EP deserved it. Fun fact: this song is written from the perspective of Galileo's children. Ryan goes into detail in his blog/podcast about all his songs and what they mean. His projects are very well-conceptualized.
My brother directed this video and I couldn’t be more proud. I cry every time I hear and view this video. I’m so grateful for Sleeping at Last for touching so many hearts.
OMG I didn`t expect this reaction at all! I love this song, still remember the first time I heard it. This song is journey. It`s beyond beautiful. Love your reaction btw!
this is the kind of song you don't just play at the background but listen with attention, really is a masterpiece. I also get similar feeling when I listen to their "light" and "lantern" by the white birch, if you want to - plese react to these two
I like to think of it as the relationship between parents and children. When you're a child you hear from your parents wise and encouraging things that comfort you and make you feel certain emotions, but you don't pay attention, you don't write it down. The line "You explained the infinite" could refer to how when you're a child you don't know anything, so your parents, who do know things, seem to know everything in the infinite universe. Eventually you grow up and don't pay attention to them as much, and then, after they're gone, you realize how wise they were and how much more time you wanted to share with them. "I'd give anything to hear you say it one more time." But now, since they're gone and you can't talk to them, you decide to "take up the torch" and teach your children all the things that you were taught.
i can't express my love for this song, the meaning it has for me is just... u get right hahahaha u feel the same listening to it! when i got to know u better by watching your videos i was like "he needs to react to Saturn" and I wasn't wrong! THANK YOU so much for making this reaction video, it means a lot to me
one of my favorite artists, person, everything. he is a genius. this is exactly how i thought saturn would sound like. beautiful on the outside and intense on the inside(the outside is the intro and the inside is intense). one of the most beautiful sounds i have ever heard and i think the music video just adds to it. he is a lyrical genius.
idk if you guys got this, but “Saturn” is the Roman god of time. I absolutely love “sleeping at last” because they always put these little details in their song!!!
i cried the first time i listened to this song, it's so beautiful! as always i loved your reaction, would you consider doing "ryne's song" by ashe? she released her debut album not long ago and it's sooo good, maybe try to give the album a listen too haha it has a lot of little details and interesting transitions in it. take care
Oh when I saw that someone finally reacted to Sleeping At Last I was so excited! It's one of my favorite artists and this song is so beautiful. What I love about this artist is they create these songs based on things and objects, like they have a whole series were each song is based on one of the plants in the solar system, this song being one of them. Two of my favorite songs of their are actually lyrically connected to each other, Uneven Odds and Lights, which are truly beautiful and makes me tear up almost everytime I listen to it. So happy you liked this song, it's the best to just listen to and relax.
My interpretation of the lyrics was that maybe there was a friend of his or a significant other who was just in love with life and how beautiful it is to exist, and he was fascinated by their words and wished they could write them down. And that person passed away and now he’s gonna try and live on their legacy and spread the message about how beautiful life is to those around him. And the breathless part just describing how excited this person was to talk about the infinite. I think that’s the beautiful part about the song is that it touches each persons soul differently.
The most beautiful and powerful piece of music I have heard. The message, the instruments, and the crescendo it all create a powerful song that grabs and throws you into the universe! I can only listen to this song on LOUD volume! I bow to you, Sleeping At Last ❤
I absolutely love this song. It makes me cry every single time... the first time i heard it though, it struck my heart so hard i literally sobbed for a few minutes.
I've played this for my children, multiple times, hoping that when they hear it, after I leave this world, they'll think of me and all the times I've shared it and told them what miracles they are and always were to me. My oldest son gets it. The youngest is still a bit too young. But it's such a gorgeous song. As a parent, the thing we strive for most is to let our children know how precious they are, how rare they are, how beautiful they are and how incredible it is that they exist. SAL wrote a song for parents here. I'd suggest listening to all of his space themed music, as well as all of his Enneagram songs. He wrote a song for each Enneagram number and they truly fit and encapsulate the number they were written for. He's incredibly and almost criminally underrated and I wish more people knew about him and how powerful his music is. His songs are the only songs I can think of that mean as much without the lyrics as they do with the lyrics. His instrumentals of all of these songs are BREATHTAKING. So glad you found him.
I think of my Dad whenever I listen to this - for me, it is his song, our song .. because I know it’s something he would’ve said to me if we’d had more time .. I wish he could’ve heard it .. I hope he hears it with me when I play it 💖 I hope it stays with your children as you wish, the way it has with me since the first time I heard it 💫
You should really do more of sleeping at last, their whole discography are just amazing. Tons and tons of violins, strings, pianos. It's just a whole other experience.
In september of 2021 I was in college hours away from my hometown with all of my friends. One of my friends who was like a sister to me passed away suddenly. I was told she was in the hospital a couple days before she passed and i rushed down when i could. I only got a couple hours at her funeral before i had to go back up to uni for exams. I never felt so alone in my life and i latched onto this song and it just made me feel like all the stress and overwhelming feelings escaped with the music and words to this song. Like it was saying things i couldn't put into words. To this day this song holds such a special place in my heart that i dont know if anybody else would ever understand
Sleeping at last was a musical group I discovered shortly after my brother died. I found so much comfort in the music, it felt like I was allowed to grieve, allowed to cry, allowed to hurt. This song in particular, as well as “I’ll keep you safe” are very powerful to me.
Out of all the areas of space we've explored, and we still haven't found any other signs of life shows that it is extremely (which isn't even close) rare that we exist. This song really makes you think about your entire life from the day were born to now and maybe even the beginning of time itself, this is beautiful, and no one can say otherwise, and if they do, they didn't get past the long intro Lol
I’m normally here for TOP, clicked on a hunch. This was absolutely beautiful. To me it sounded like a beautiful love child of TOP and Coldplay. It‘s 6 am here and I start my day crying, in a good way. Will definitely listen to this again. Thank you for your words.
I absolutely loved your reaction! Sleeping At Last is my favorite, his music is just so real and raw, it gives you so many emotions. I can't wait to see more! Please check out more!!
What are the other beautiful songs you've heard? Saturn is #1 for me. I also include on my list Everglow by Coldplay, Everything All at Once by SYML, Carry You by Novo Amor, "Borne II" by Silicone Boone, Into the Sun by Sons of the East, and Wild Lavender by Benjamin Torrens
Hey, i think it would be cool if you checked out the winners of eurovision this year, måneskin with their song zitti e buoni! It’s kind of glam rock and só good
I love this song so much, it feels like it makes a bit pieces of me, it gives me peace and never a day goes by that I don't listen to this. I absolutely love it. You should check them out more.
Ugh, I always hate when I see other ppl like this song 🤣, I want it to be mine! Fr tho, glad there is still a market for this music, gives me “hope” in a way ig, but more just happiness in general that ppl enjoy this sort of music
Do more from sleeping at last! the spotify wrapped just came out and not so shockingly, I’m on the 0.05% of the top listeners… You can’t never get enough of S.A.L
As Saturn is probably the climax of Ryan‘s work I‘m not sure if this the best point to begin if you start exploring Sleeping At Last. If you start with their earlier recordings the impression may be even deeper. Leave the best for last.

This has been my favourite song since the first time I heard it years and years ago, it just makes me feel so much and it's sentiment can get me through anything. Whatever happens, it's an absolute miracle and a privilege to live and exist on this beautiful planet, I can never take it for granted. 💕

please do more sleeping at last. The song Sun from the same album is also a good one to listen on its own. but he has a huge discography and most of his songs are great
What are the other beautiful songs you've heard? Saturn is #1 for me. I also include on the list Everglow by Coldplay, Everything All at Once by SYML, Carry You by Novo Amor, "Borne II" by Silicone Boone, and Into the Sun by Sons of the East
So mesmerising & beautiful both to listen & watch. No matter how you believe it happened our existence is truly beautiful & amazing & we should respect ALL life in that. Now I have to go watch this on a big screen!!
Kenny Rogers "If I were a painting" same beauty of life love and loss. Great violin and piano. His best song, I believe he never actually released it. Which is crazy.
I absolutely LOVE Sleeping at Last since many years. The best ist to drive alone by night trough the mountains and forests/woods with a fantastic sound system in car … Greetz from Switzerland
A fantastic review of a beautiful song that I can't stop listening to. You listened thoroughly and gave a very accurate and insightful review. Well done. 👍
another amazing and deep lyrical song is Manchester orchestras song SILENCE. I recommended the long version … its black and white.. has his face on the thumbnail
I love every inch of your reaction. You were on point at 7:15. Which is my birthday. My favorite is the slow and reverbed version!! Please take an ear. It will give you Goode bumps! I love you for loving this song! I feel so close to our Creator in this song!
This song hits different, especially with this music video. My dad and I don't get along as much as we used to but one thing we really bond over is stargazing. You know those cliche scenes between a father and his kid in movies when they're looking at the stars together? That's us lmao. I sometimes have a problem with expressing myself, specifically my emotions. I can be cruel and selfish, even if I don't mean to be. But this song just brings me to those moments I have with him. When we've traveled to Pennsylvania to sit on top of a mountain for a stargazing event. It reminds me of the drive TO Pennsylvania, in the early fall when the leaves on all of the trees were painted in warm colors and we were driving on thin backroads between mountains. I remember getting my phone out to take pictures because the scenery was so beautiful and the many farms between the mountains had these sprawling fields of grass. I don't know why I typed all of this. It just felt nice to be put back into the environment by writing that down. And this song does that every time for me when I listen to it.
I feel so jealous of the people who get to hear this song for the first time.
Exactly how I feel
I would give anything to hear this for the first time again
Same
exactly how i feel 🤍
My first time listening this song is back 2019
The intro is so long because the lyrics are too powerful and people would simply cry for almost 5 minutes straight
Amen
True
I can't help but tear up every time I get to hear this song again. Sleeping at last is one of the most special and meaningful artists and writers I've ever heard. Thank you for listening to this and I can't wait for more.
Definitely
YES!!!
"How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist."
In Jesus' name AMEN!
please listen to more sleeping at last! i recommend their whole enneagram album and the other planet series they are all so truly beautiful
yes!!! the enneagram album is incredible
I loved the Senses album and the Planet series
Yeaaah! Totally! The complete Atlas series that Ryan is creating is a masterpiece.
Yes, both albums are epic
This dude Sleeping at Last has literally never made a bad song. They’re all on some level cool to listen to with something to appreciate. But this song, Snow, and Life are on a whole other level. Not just with his music, but all music.

man, your brother is just a genius.
Your brother turned a beautiful song into a true work of art.
OMG I didn`t expect this reaction at all! I love this song, still remember the first time I heard it. This song is journey. It`s beyond beautiful. Love your reaction btw!

this is the kind of song you don't just play at the background but listen with attention, really is a masterpiece.
I also get similar feeling when I listen to their "light" and "lantern" by the white birch, if you want to - plese react to these two
The song light got me through some bad times.
I can’t seem to find the song Light
I can literally lay on the floor and listen to this on repeat, letting it’s beauty wash over me.

Sleeping At Last's cover of Already Gone by Kelly Clarkson is pretty magical if you want more of his voice and style.

It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Another song by them that's very beautiful is Light.
His songs are so soothing you should check out more of his stuff
Holy. That threw me back. My camp counselors used to play this song in my cabin as we were falling asleep. Damn. That’s a emotional memory.
Es la canción que más me traspasa mi alma, mi corazón y mi espíritu, la oigo una y otra vez... recordando a mis hermanos German y Haydée qué se fueron sin despedirnos. Qué canción por Dios me hace llorar.

MORE SLEEPING AT LAST
I remember coming out of this a changed person after having heard it for the first time. Glad to see and hear it was a similar experience for you. :)
Thank you SO MUCH for doing this!❤❤❤
i've literally just started to jump in my room when I saiw this video AAAA
React to wait from M83
Do more from sleeping at last! the spotify wrapped just came out and not so shockingly, I’m on the 0.05% of the top listeners… You can’t never get enough of S.A.L
If you like this you should react to Caterpillars by Mountains of the Moon. The lyrics are as beautiful, only a bit more pessimistic.
As Saturn is probably the climax of Ryan‘s work I‘m not sure if this the best point to begin if you start exploring Sleeping At Last. If you start with their earlier recordings the impression may be even deeper. Leave the best for last.
Ironic but I actually found ‘sleeping at last’ on a random live stream about mr beast turns out it was a faker (mr beast live stream) but anyway I actually talked to the main account and I didn’t even realise it was them I decided to subscribe and check out the channel and then I listened to one of the songs and I was blown away. Had an incredible moment with someone so talented
At the Begining, is not a violin ITS A CELLO
This song is beautiful
Yes!! I love sleeping at last so much. Im so glad you are doing them
I’ve been listening to this song for years and it always HITS
I know this is late, but you know you've found a good artist when no matter how many times you listen, it always feel like you're listening for the first time again.❤ It's a beautiful feeling.
This has been my favourite song since the first time I heard it years and years ago, it just makes me feel so much and it's sentiment can get me through anything. Whatever happens, it's an absolute miracle and a privilege to live and exist on this beautiful planet, I can never take it for granted. 💕
We can't hear the music..I know it by heart, but it's way too soft for people who might not know the whole piece.
Jesus is Holly, violin session,,, check it out and yeah, saturn does have lyrics, but the intro makes it more,,,,
his music, especially this song, makes me want to just sit here and cry for hours
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice b goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world
For the real experience listen to Cassini: Grand Finale leading into Saturn. They fit together so beautifully
I have listened to it on repeat many times and didn't even notice the intro was that long😧
Could you please do ocean eyes by Billie Eilish
Amazing feeling comes listening to this song.
Hi Danny ☺️.. it seems to me that the volume was low or maybe it's me..
It’s a lament for when a loved one is lost to us.
I had the same reaction as you 🥺
I love this song so much ❤️🥺
Ryan O'Neal does such a beautiful job singing this song.
What are the most beautiful (top 5) songs for you guys?
I first heard this song in a very depressed part of my life, it, and the whole album was a poignant moment of walking for hours through a city listening to it for the first time I won't ever forget.
since you like violins so much…you need to react to the final scene in the movie High Strung!!!
I and my Dog we cry together listen to Saturn
🤍☀️Sleeping At Last🤍☀️
since no one said this, it's actually cello, not violin :))
I feel you, we just can't pause it hahah the first time i heard this song i cried like a baby for no practical reason, it's SO beautiful - both the lyrics and the melody - and also my favorite by them
Everytime I hear this song I feel so so touched. Idk man, is beautiful.

My favorite songs
Sleeping at last are amazing. Love this
I wish I knew someone in real life who feels music like you do!
There’s another rendition of this song released as a single in 2020 and the violin intro is longer!! It’s breathtaking
Just heard it. It's incredible.
Either my phone is malfunctioning, or the volume is much lower on your video?
Well done. 👍
