83 years since Cards hit 7 Hrs against another team. Oddly enough, it was against the "Brooklyn Dodgers" at Sportsmans park!

Dodgers are the scariest team on the NL, as a cardinals fan I admit that XD we have a “better” potential offense but the pitching is dodgers favor all the way.

I work for the Cardinals as an usher and saw those home runs. That was one of the most insane games I’ve ever been to.
I kinda wish these highlight videos were longer. When it's a game that had 24 runs scored, condensing it all into 8 minutes definitely makes it feel like important stuff is missing lol

What a game
As a Dodgers fan, the Cards had a hot bat this game. The Dodgers bullpen was pretty washed from the Twins series, but the Cards took that to another level. Close game before the 8th inning, though. However, seeing how Jackson and Almonte pitched in the 8th said it all.
Time for Game 2!
Its always a treat to see the Dodgers and Cards play because, for the most part, they are relatively close games.
Almonte has never been good why is he still here

Can't really fault Jackson there. He pitched pretty well given the circumstances.

@@Lambert58-v9i I wouldn't give up on Julio yet, been one of the best pitchers in the game last couple of years. This year has been strange. Either terrific or awful. See where he's at over the next 3 or 4 starts.
I was at that game last night. That was also my first time watching Adam Wainwright pitch live.

The Cardinals beat up on the Dodgers after Nootbaar's hit! It's as if they're taking out their early season frustrations on their opponents!😂
I think it is karma. Nothing was going the way of the Cardinals for the first 6-7 weeks. From bad calls, to bad bounces, to opponents hitting bloop singles with their eyes closed and opponent pitchers wearing out the black strips on home plate, the Cardinals could not catch a break. Still, they kept on fighting. The law of averages is now in play, and the Cardinals will likely contend for first in the division before it is over!
@@jimclarke8260 Looking at the list again, it is terrible. But, as you say, they kept fighting. Contrales also reclaimed his role. I expect the Cardinals to turn things around from here.😀

Man what a game!!! Was paying close attention to see if cards would lay down and let dodgers win after thry came to within one run at 9-8 but they played like a winner should and hammered back. This is great to see. We've been scoring a ton of runs lately too. Also, Goldy and Arenado are obviously the 1-2 punch but Gorman is definitely starting to cement himself as the 3. That guy is amazing man. Proud of the fight this team is showing man. Cant slow down now though.

A combined 45 runs over the last 4 games for us. Our offense is on fire!! Starters are going longer. Bullpen still shaky but we’re starting to come together!

Man, so far Urias hasn't proven he's worthy of a Scott Boras mega type of contract with how he's pitching.

Whole bullpen has been a mess this season. Luckily our offense is able to pick up some of the slack
@@Ariana321 that is very true. But I was expecting Urias to bounce back and go deep in the game today given how taxed LA's bullpen has been lately.
So far this year, he hasn't gotten the job done.

Uriah has had a rough start to the year, but he's literally been the best pitcher in baseball for the past 2 years. Let's pump the brakes a little and give him some time to adjust. He'll be fine

The pitching which is the teams real problem was still terrible… not sure that’s the statement you want to make. The offense went off and it’s fun to watch but you can’t expect that every night and the pitching still needs serious help.

It can't be helped that Urias was out of control and hit 4 home runs, but Roberts' unfortunate bullpen appointment, which brought Andre Jackson to the mound in the 8th inning in an atmosphere where he could turn around, was the cause of today's defeat.😥
Actually I'm pretty sure the Cardinals batters were the cause of your defeat. Don't be fooled by their record, that's turning around pretty fast.

@@thein-famouselguapo15 I did want the coaches fired after that horrible first month, but it seems they’ve proved me wrong. Besides, like someone said earlier, for an epic comeback to happen they’ll need a hole to come out of which is exactly what the Cardinals dug themselves into.

Only two other times have the Cardinals hit seven home runs in a single game. Back on May 7th 1940 against the Dodgers in Sportman’s Park and against the Cubs on July 12th 1996 in Wrigley Field.

This team needs 1-2 bullpen pieces.. 1 big bat and one bench bet.. a SP to actually truly stand a chance to compete for a WS in 2023. Do I think they could maybe win the division or WC and get into the playoffs with this team.. yes but they won’t go far.. the lineup has some good pieces but a lot of the guys in the back are unreliable. The bullpen is falling apart.. the SP is their strongest point but between Julio not having a good year and the injuries it’s also not as strong. Doubt Friedman makes all those moves I mentioned.. but it’s what I think is needed. I also believe the padres and dbacks have more talent and in a 162 game season one of those teams will win the division ahead of LA
