You're absolutely correct: NO other show has the relationships, story, cast, and writers to pull off this epic episode....Buffy came closest with their similar episode, but didn't have the capability to go meta like this. Best episode of TV I've ever seen in my life!

When I rewatch episodes like this, it makes me regret not giving Supernatural a watch a lot sooner as I binge watched and finished the show from February to October of 2021. The legacy it had for 15 years (with more to come as it got more popular during 2020) really shows with these types of episodes. Happy 200th episode! Episode 300 is another AWESOME one that I can't wait for you to see in season 14. Fanfiction is definitely in my top 10 episodes for the series!

As for Chuck, well that's a whole other thing and i'm surprised you haven't gotten yet. well you probably have now since you are way far ahead of this now but yeah his appearance was like WHAT??? then it was putting it together for me. also i loved Sam thinking about Sastiel.... so they didn't just reference wincest and Destiel but also sastiel which isn't as popular. plus it was such a cute moment like Sam found it all so interesting.

And just cause you challenged me, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" also managed to do some crazy episodes and play with meta in a way that almost feels to me like a SPN homage at times. I definitely think SPN is better, but "Legends" gets way with things most other shows can't, and it's hilarious!
I love your reaction videos so much. And just in case you really did want an answer regarding naming another show that has done what SPN has done, I nominate Stargate SG-1. Not only has SPN had a ton of Stargate actors on (Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, and a boatload of others), but I do wonder if some SPN episode ideas were inspired by SG. Like Stargate has meta episodes about the main characters being in a tv show within the tv show, much like SPN has the Carver Edlund book series. If you want something else to binge and react to, and you haven’t seen it already, SG-1 is 10 seasons, plus it has a 5 season spinoff, another 2 season spinoff, three movies, and a prequel. I think you’d be delighted with it as much as you are with Supernatural because the shows share so many of the same stylistic story-telling choices, with fantastic characters, all the tropes, and the serious, heavy drama is balanced with some hilarious meta and fourth wall breaks.

Maybe they saying how they look but if they know what they've been through maybe it all physically aged them so they look older than they are lol which they don't but season after season you can tell they've seen tons of shot the more lines and bags that appear on their faces lol love every appearance of Chuck lol love all the singing lol they nailed carry on lol

This is my favorite episode. At least non season 5 episode that is.
This one is for sure in my top but my favorite is in season 11 - along with second and third place.
