The Gemstones are amazing! Best and most unique product they've created yet. Each one feels just a bit different from the others. I found the gold dries up faster, so adding a touch of water is crucial (also it stretches it out). The Diamond (silver) is amazing when you apply it with your finger, because you can rub it in and get a really cool "hammered" metal look that is gorgeous and you can really control where it goes (for clean edges) which is great if you tend to slip with your paint brush. But I learned that you really need to Slick Stick your hardware before applying the mousses, otherwise it slides right off, even after a week (although another furniture artist found that when she left it dry for 3 weeks, it was fine...I just don't have that patience!). They are way easier to work with than the waxes, I think. And you only need a small amount on a stencil, it really goes far.
Just wondering...the package says there's 6 colors, but I haven't seen the Turquoise or Onyx come out yet. Any word on those?
I agree.....they are AMAZING!!! And I too use my finger for application SO MUCH when painting! LOL As for the release of the other colors.....as soon as I know, you'll know!

What prep do you do and can you wax over mousse
Tracy , I used the red gemstone mousse, I waited 2 weeks , when I went to put a top coat on it reactived, what did I do wrong?
I'm so glad I found this right before I add this to my pieces I am personalizing for my bedroom! I am totally going to go over it a day or two after like you said and then let it settle for days before I add a topcoat. How do you feel about adding heat? Would that speed up the curing process or do you think it isn't a good idea?
I think adding heat is very helpful!

YEA!!! I am so glad! Yes... a LOT of people seem to have difficulty with it. But if you just take your time, work with it, and watch some of my videos I'm sure your project will turn out AMAZING!!! Have fun!!!
I am a Gemini Tru and Tru So I have absolutely NO problem with working on like 3 pieces at once while one is doing its drying .....Keeps things Fun and interesting 🤩❤️🖌️🎨
Hi. I’ve used gold gemstone mousse on a stencil over db chalk paint. When would it be safe to topcoat? I was planning to use satin clear coat. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you!
Hope you were able to find an answer sooner than me getting back to you.... I would wait 24-48 hrs. depending on how thick the mouse was. But for best results....I always mix satin or gloss in with the mousse and then apply!
