The thing I think the show captures so well is a dialectical view of morality - Lucy has to learn the limits of her moral outlook, but never lets the Wasteland fully corrupt her position, The Ghoul at first seems corrupted by Wasteland nihilism but his prewar morality still seeps through, etc
The writing in Fallout is always best when it exists in the parallax gap between two incompatible moral positions, where one position serves as a critique of the other and vice versa.
Lucy's initial naivety serves as a critique of The Ghoul's nihilism and vice versa but they still both exist in the gap between the two extreme positions, etc

Excellent video man. This needs to be shown to the YTers that keep saying the show is bad.
Have you watched any of the long form critiques of the show? aside from the iconography it doesn't have much going for it. I'm still glad it exists personally though.
@@theboraxbandit9563 i’ve watched multiple hate videos from Soythetic Man, Cheetos, Emily and more. Those videos complain so much but cant seem to articulate any real reason they hate it and they also continuously get fallout lore wrong while complaining that the show breaks the lore.

DWTerminators. Even Reapers. It does break the lore and the writing is incredibly dull.
@@theboraxbandit9563 it breaks Shady Sands and its not like the first time that lore was broken. Shady Sands was moved in Fallout 2. And no, the writing really isnt all that dull especially when all of these hate videos really cant articulate how its bad or clearly miss points made in the show or even worse, the lack of simple common sense.
