- Sorry about the audio being clunky in spots. Switching sources was a little rough editing on my phone. Was determined to not overlap audio sources when they were actually drumming so sometimes the tenors or snares are a little quiet. Thx to Laurent and Haydin for giving us that on the field perspective.

yeoo yeoo, what are the best go pro settings you use for snare/tenor cams. i just got me a gopro hero 11
I shoot 4K60 if possible. Don’t go full horizon leveling. It’s a super cool feature but it crops the frame so you oftentimes can’t get the hands face and drum. Normal high stabilization works just fine. The biggest issue is overheating. During a run you’ll get plenty of airflow but I still wouldn’t count on getting more than 20 minutes continuous. But like a rehearsal where there’s standing around or the sun is brutal it won’t last long before shutting down. I just got a DJI action 3 bc it can go longer without overheating. Turn off wind-filter under the audio settings. It muffles when it gets loud so you get that under water sound.
@@GeorgeCollins thanks a lot. the go pro can also record 5.3k at 60 fps. do you not recommend that? do you set a custom White balance/exposure or do you just leave it on auto
@@the5as1marchingarts I leave it on auto but the white balance on vids tends to suck. It’ll go from yellow to blue to whatever all the time. I think 5K is good if you want to zoom in on the video in post and get close to the quality of 4K
