As a V11 owner I forgot how tall it is. That said is handles better on street than all the others.
The S18 is cool if you don't care about speed and range.

V11 is my first wheel and I love it! Once you get used to the the height and weight it's very nimble and it has plenty of torque, lots of fun! It's never road without suspension but now I can't imagine not having it.

I learned how to ride my V10F in under 15 minutes but I can't imagine learning on a suspension wheel.
That said, the V11 is the king of the streets.

Great, fun video! I wish my wife is interested in EUCs so we can ride as a couple like you 2 and share the experience😊 Maybe it's the age (we're both 46); I believe that she would've tried this EUC hobby when we younger. In fact, she won't click like on any of my EUC posts 😂 Anyway, keep having fun!

Well well well. Having a lunch, fully deserved one.
(i am not using 0:00 format due to timestams which would be a bit disturbing)
8,00 - first touch. Leant slightly against a wall, tried just to stand on it. Been amazed how it holds balance in front-rear axis.
8,20 - Trying to move a few meters, still close to a wall or fence.
8,30 - Can ride for a few meters without holding anything.. then i start to steer or the wheel wobbles and i am catching my wheel.
8,50 - Old lady goes to shop, greets me and asks me what is it. "Electric unicycle" i tell her, but I fail to explain more. I just add something about "if i learn a bit more, i can go to work on it instead of by a car!" Her smile boosts my confidence somehow.
9,15 - First video. I am able to go from one road sign to another.
9,30 - there are total of 4 road signs in the street. I am trying to go from first one to the last one without dismount. I have 2 tiny scratches on my V11 by now, twice failed to catch my V11 quickly.
9,45 - I did it, from the first sign to the last. Now turn back and go to the start, without dismounting. Another challenge. The road has around 150m. Old lady goes back, asked if I am still training, I nodded. We wished a nice day to each other.
10,00 - I tried some cobblestone around the corner. My cycle did some hou hou whoa moves. Very comfy.
10,15 - second video. I can see the difference in balance.
10,20 - okay, time to rest. I shall walk home.... After 5 steps I stopped. Why to walk, when I can *ride* ? Rode home then.
Why am I writing the list here? Because you showed me how the progress would be, what to do and what not to do. Step by step. So... Thank you very much, Mark and Anvy!

    Nice! Mark must teach you.!
Yes is so tall 🤣. Specially coming from 16s pedals.

@@GreenwithAnvy I also have the V11 and learning to ride with one leg made a huge difference in mounting the high pedals of the V11 smoothly and my confidence riding in NYC in general because you don't feel as rushed and anxious at stop lights. It took about two weeks to build up the strength and skill to ride with one leg on both sides. Taking the time to develop the skill on your weaker leg is well worth it and definitely helps with single-leg fatigue. Hope to bump into you one day and give you a nod as we pass. Seeing more EUC riders nowadays but still pales in comparison to bikers and e-scooters. Be well and stay safe.

Thanks for the tips! That makes a lot of sense. Okay, I’m gonna take some time to ride one-legged! I’ll be sure to give you a nod or wave when we pass each other on the streets. 👍🏼 You’re right, the EUCs are still the minority for e-rides in NYC, but it is growing! Take care and have a great weekend! 🥳

I just received my V11 and one of the pedals is SLIGHTLY askew. One is slightly higher on the outside when you look from the front and I can also feel a slight height difference when standing on it. I asked the supplier and they said this is normal, but I don't believe that. Could someone with a V11 check and see if their pedals are perfectly even or if you can feel/see a slight angle difference when standing on it? Thanks :)

I'm curious what made Mark choose the V11 over the S18 as I've been stuck between the two. That was a genius move bringing it back on the EUC. Another great video and it's awesome to see you two doing well. Best wishes :)

Mark says: the build quality of the V11 is better. It also doesn’t look as “aggressive” as the S18 (though I love the look of the S18 personally 👀). Most importantly, he wanted to just “dampen” the bumps on the NYC streets and didn’t need the best suspension out there, which the V11 does very well.
Thanks for watching the video! Take care and happy riding 😁

I've actually rode both and they both have their individual merits. I've also rode the S20 and two others that i forget the name. Godeway? Gotway?
The S18 is really good if you mainly ride technical dirt trails. If you ride street then hands down go for the V11.
The S18 is the best handling wheel I've ever ridden. It makes you want to go off jumps, but it lacks speed, range and power.
The V11 in no way makes you want to ride off of jumps. But a cruises better than any wheel out there. So if you ride bike paths the V 11 is your choice hands down.

    • @GreenwithAnvy
      @GreenwithAnvy  3 роки тому +1

I don’t think I’ll be able to do a good comparison video because I still have a hard time riding my fiancé’s V11 😅 (the PSI is set to his weight, so the pedals are wayyy too high for me and we haven’t tried lowering it for me yet). However, I will tell you this… The feeling will be night and day- especially if you have bumpy roads or terrain where you live. You have to control the V11 with your thighs and whole body due to the difference in size and weight. With the 16S, you’re mostly controlling with you calves. The 16S is also much nimbler and smaller, so you’re going to have to push more on the V11 when turning and carving. Hope that helps! I’m sorry I won’t be able to make a video about it, but feel free to ask me any questions!
