1). I very musically agree 👍 2). I remember years ago removing the silly string 3) Haters hate themselves… don’t listen to them. 4) you guys are spot on this one 5). Quack 🦆
As a puddle duck myself, THANK YOU for finally speaking out about this very real, very painful topic. Whenever people in my pond-community try to bring up the lack of representation, we get shut down, because we have the ONE ballet. But do village girls only have one? Do royals? Do supernatural creatures????? One ballet simply isn’t enough to capture the beauty and complexity, the sheer potential, of the Puddle Duck, to tell an amazing story through dance. Glad the wider ballet community is finally starting to recognize this.
I am just a ballet enthusiast and I see so many dancers especially young dancers online criticizing adult professionals who got where they are less on technique and more on stage presents or on notoriety. I know technique is important but as an audience member I am looking for the dancers to tell me a story. The audience isn't going to know that a dancer doesn't have the best technique or missed a step as long as they keep the story going. In the end ballet dancers are performers and they play to an audience.
My pointe shoes used to come with non-stretch draw strings. I found I wasn't actually tightening them at all, so I pulled them out. They switched to elastic draw strings a long time ago but I still just pull them out. In my case, they had no impact on keeping the shoe on my foot at all. Also, I hope to start raising ducks this spring. I want my own egg layers that also de-slug my garden. 😊
So like....I was there at your first video (the ms MOJO one I think) I still remember being drunk as hell during the festive season and in a real dark, deep horrific place. Your videos helped me get through that and so many other bad times. Every Saturday night when I'm drunk as hell, trying to just keep it together enough to make to Sunday. Thank you two ladies so much for getting me through every single thing. Happy 2nd anniversary and thank you so much! You got no idea what your vids have gotten me through! Here's to 2025
A friend and I saw a production - proDUCKtion, of course - of Bernstein's "Candide" by the Welsh National Opera that featured a recurring theme of cartoon sheep. We remain absolutely convinced to this day that every opera would be improved by the addition of cartoon sheep. In a similar vein, you are absolutely correct: we need more ducks in ballet.
I absolutely agree with everything, especially number 3. I am a ballet student, and sometimes the people commenting on my schools posts say that we're too young to be en pointe. It's really frustrating to read comments from people who don't realize what goes into our training because our teachers are very certified people from Vaganova and they know what they're doing. Thank you so much for recognizing this problem!
This is kind of off topic, but Sayako Toku is one of the most amazing dancers I have ever seen. She’s not very well known, but her dancing is breathtaking 😮
Just to add on to the point being made at 12:46, as a stage actor, I think there are many producktions of plays that would benefit from having a puddle-duck on stage. For example, "Hamlet". Just have a puddle-duck on stage while Hamlet does that whole "To be or not to be" spiel. It would make more sense than many of the other Shakespeare producktions I've seen in the past.
Another thing we can leave in 2024 is the lack of amazing J&E bloopers. Omg I can't get enough of the bloopers that yall do at the end of the videos. They are both funny and adorable all while highlighting y'all's true selves.
It comes down to “be a good audience member”. There’s etiquette when you attend in person, you should extend a similar courtesy to an online performance.
Hi! As a musician/amateur dancer/someone who would love to compose a ballet class track, I'd love for you two to share more of your opinions on what you'd like to hear more of in music composed specifically for class :)
Thank you for point #4. I was a young dancer (non-professional) many years ago and I wish someone had told me this! I’m so glad you are telling this to the dancers of today! Sending you a big mom hug, B from the USA
Point 4 definitely hit close to home and I’ve been able to realise that all bodies are able to dance, no matter the size or shape of the body. I struggled with my body image as a young dancer but have learned to embrace my body for how it is
thank you for making your videos! I've been wanting to do ballet again after I quit and your videos have made me want to do it more. I'm probably starting lessons next year.
"Strangers on the internet" That reminds me. One day I put up my first vid of me playing on a new digital piano. Some troll wrote a comment "You suck badly". It made me laugh. I played the piece without a mistake.
It’s funny the first thing about the short music hahah. When I was studying for being a ballet dance teacher, in a preparation for one of the exams, the teacher told us (me and my friends) that she was going to remove points if the music stops and we’re still doing the exercise. So my friend, scared of that threat hahahah, she edited the music for the plié , and this track ended up being a 10 minutes long hahahah💀😂😂
To this day I get angry at the spiteful comments Misty received when she messed up the black swan 32 fouettés. So unkind and cruel. So, yes, have your opinions but sometimes just keep them to yourself!
This may be controversial, but I would leave behind competitions, in both ballet and music. There must be other ways to showcase rising young talent without pitting one against the other in a struggle to be the best. Teach them to celebrate each other, and rejoice in the their shared artistry.
From your mouths to the world’s ears. It takes no effort to scroll past. And it doesn’t matter what it is. Just be polite, if you wouldn’t say it in person, don’t say it online. Sure swans a tough, but are you telling me there were no puddle ducks at Swan Lake? Please. You know they were all over that lake.
What are you leaving behind in 2024? Let’s encourage each other and keep each other accountable in 2025 🥳🥳
i am leaving behind dancing in my dead shoes hopefuly
I will officially be leaving behind unemployment/part-time grinding. Finally back in the saddle with something actually worth it.
@@FOXHOUND1871 yes get it
I am leaving behind my crazy nerves about performing in front of people!!! (Hopefully 😂)
@@marianasiortiz5513 I hope you do i’ve been Dancing for a really long time and right before I go on stage I get the biggest rush of adrenaline
I wonder what these very serious, very certified ballet *experts* are going to come up with next 😂
Lol 😂😂

I'm very fortunate to be a pianist at a dance school. :)
The ugly Duckling needs a full length ballet. It could be the prequel to Swan Lake.

Body shaming needs to be left behind in 2024. And yes, we need more puddle ducks.

Number 3! Yesss! And, stop picking on children on the internet!

I fully support bringing back ballet dusks 🦆 🩰

I agree on putting the duck in “production”. 😂😂love yall
Hi!
As a musician/amateur dancer/someone who would love to compose a ballet class track, I'd love for you two to share more of your opinions on what you'd like to hear more of in music composed specifically for class :)
I’m just imagining duck and geese costumes in swan lake and it’s everything❤❤❤
Yes, love the points about encouraging young dancers online instead of nitpicking them!
I can't 😂 the DUCKS!!
#puttheDUCKinproDUCKtion
No more Swan Lake - from now on it's Duck Lake...
ok Eden this scarf look is so good
Accentuate the positive! Love this😊!
More positivity in 2025 🥳🥳
Yes! Please - no short ballet class tracks! There's no substitute for IRL music.
Thank you for point #4. I was a young dancer (non-professional) many years ago and I wish someone had told me this! I’m so glad you are telling this to the dancers of today! Sending you a big mom hug, B from the USA
Amazing color of clothes and also the style sweater and shawl etc. + of course great content!! Says a very certified human:)
Something I'd love to see more of - your hilarious outtakes!
Heck yes to number 4 as well! Fandoms drive me up the wall.
Thank you ❤
❤️❤️
Love you ladies ❤ Enjoying all your content 🎉

Number three. Heck yes!
Let's also leave the demand for everyone to have hyper-extension and body-shaming! I'm a proud 90 degree extension ballerina with a tummy!
thank you for making your videos! I've been wanting to do ballet again after I quit and your videos have made me want to do it more. I'm probably starting lessons next year.
Point 5 is on point! 😂
I wait all week long for these videos ❤😂

"proDUCKtion" I'm dying 😂
i love yalls vidoes
Thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️
@ ofc
Let’s also leave behind leather shoes. They are good for some barre work but for almost everything else, no.
I CANNOT with canvas drawstrings! Just thinking about trying to make my shoes tighter with them makes me cringe!
OMG ITS SO ANNOYING TO SWITCH OUT THE DRAWSTRINGS 😭😭😭
THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NOT MORE DUCKS IN THE BALLET CULTURE IS ABSOLUTELY FOWL!!!
Such a good video, but a bit late to watch it due to Nutcracker practices 💗
I do understand your point about ducks, but I must confess that as long as there are at least swans I am fine ;)
QUACK.

Number 4 🤩🫶✨❤️
I would pay orchestra seat prices if the ballet included puddle ducks!
Anything and everything for the ✨ puddle duck ✨
2025 year of the duck 😂
To this day I get angry at the spiteful comments Misty received when she messed up the black swan 32 fouettés. So unkind and cruel. So, yes, have your opinions but sometimes just keep them to yourself!
We need more puddle ducks!
Hehe! I love ducks too. Mind you, I don't want memes made of them. I hate memes.
Well, what about more chickens. 😂💋
Please upload in 4k for 2025
🦆✨️✨️✨️
Ducks!!!!!! Swans are not ducks, chickens are not ducks, bluebirds are not ducks, firebirds are not ducks, pigeons are not ducks!!!!!

omg now that i think abt canvas drawstrings SUCKKKK
