Wow that's pretty cool. Hopefully you get great use out of it for many years to come habu. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
Very interesting! And nicely produced too. Assuming the sawdust would keep its shape when pressed, a slightly tapered oven would allow the fuel to be removed and stored after pressing, so you'd have multiple 'logs' ready to burn. Pressing would be more difficult with this idea though.
I know this isn't rocket science, but for someone who couldn't make that little "tinner's hammer" in 7th grade metal shop back in 1966 (OR the wood shop "hamburger press"), this is pretty damn CLOSE. I want one. 😁😁
This is basically a metal and sawdust version of a log torch. Great if you have a lot of excess sawdust to use up. Would be even better if you had a way to form the sawdust so you have logs that you can add when needed without having to resort to the press
Now that is cool! Wonder how much heat it puts out? Heading into fall in my part of the world and starting to think about shop heat. Maybe some waste oil soaked into that sawdust... Things to think about.
I use sawdust logs on a solid fuel stove. Mostly i break them up into 5ths and use to help start the fire. First time however I put a whole one on and 5 minutes later I had to move away from the stove. Waste oil such as cooking oil or fat rendered out when roasting meat would make it somewhat hotter.
That's a lot of woodworking and metalworking equipment. What do/did you do for a living? Most workshops are well equipped mostly for either woodwork or metalworking, not both
He chose to use compacted sawdust, however anyone that uses it can use various forms of fuel sources such as sticks. Still a nice little, sturdy & portable stove in my opinion
There is something brilliant out there that is very similar: My friend has a commercial woodstove for hiking... it has a small computer fan and some sort of elctronic circuit with a probe that generates a small amount of electricity when it gets hot. So the fan wil start blowing shortly after you start a small stick fire inside, it acts just like a turbo blowing the flames constantly. It gets really hot and burns wood fast! All you need is a small bundle of fingerthick branches and ou are good.... And even cooler; It has a usb charging port you can charge devices with once it gets going... Just remembered; it is called a BioLite camping stove! Look it up, it is not too expensive imo!
Cool project!! Would be something great to take camping with you. Not hiking and camping but at the camp grounds Enjoyed your video and so I gave it a Thumbs Up
You can turn a bit of tree into this by using a drill to put a vertical hole in and a horizontal hole which connects to it. then a few flat stones on the top to put your pot on
That's a neat way to fuel up a stove, and if or when power is no longer available, you can always rely upon the hydraulic jack to press more sawdust into the stove body. Brilliant really, now, what you need to do is build another body for the stove but without a top so you can pull out the pressed pellet so you can make dozens of them, to stockpile them, and when a pellet is fully burned, you can just push in another one and keep on cooking! Nice Idea Hassan, well done!
Although it will be lots of work and sweat to produce sawdust when power is not available ;) Pressing is the easy part, hydraulic jack is almost foolproof and indestructible (almost). I have one 2 ton an one 6 ton soviet era ones, bit older than me and still working ;) Probably will work for some time after i stop working ..
The rod would then have to be attached to the bottom somehow to stop it just pulling straight up. Maybe a central hole in the baseplate and threading so you screw the rod into place then a threading at the top to allow compression
long time subscriber and one of my favorite channels that never makes it's way into my channel recommendations.
Ten of these on a camping trip and you're done! Cheers Hassan, be well mate. 🤜👍
Having a baseplate to keep it stable I think would be a safe addition. 👍🏻

keep the pipe as is, add a disc to the bottom of the center pipe and use it to pull the "log" up and out
@@framergod69 Nice idea.
Cool! However... Do hobos have hydraulic press?
If they're smart they do. 😁
A hammer might work
And do they have sawdust? Any way its cool. No! Wait! Its hot😂😂😂
Hobos don't. But Habus do.
@@grumpyoldman5772 😂😂👍👍
The perfect jet pack for camping!
Das finde ich ja mal richtig praktisch. Stark!
Brilliant idea Hassan. An iron swedish torch to burn sawdust.
Dang, hobos have a nice shop setup.
Fortunately, every hobo has a workshop full of power tools.
Nice stove and cool idea. The problem is you can burn only one kind of fuel.
But any kind of planer makes it.
An interesting idea for a hike. Before the next hike in the mountains, I will definitely try to make it XD
Looks great! Assuming a hobo has a hydraulic press to compress the sawdust 😁
Or a tire jack.
And access to a fully equipped machine shop.:) Good idea though.
Otro maestro del ingenió, gracias por subir estos vídeos, sigue adelante.

It is a rocket store.
Must be awesome having that much shop equipment when you're a hobo.
Genial👏🏻👏🏻 So kannst du auch direkt deinen Schleifstsaub und deine Hobellocken verwerten. 🤘🏻😎
the top can be unfolded for stability of the dishes👍
but you need the gaps on the top for the airflow
@@freewilly2354 I agree, you can bend with the calculation of air flow
Nice camping stove I don't know how many hobos have access to an engineering workshop to build it though or to fill / refill the stove
Kinda like the space shuttle solid rocket booster, but cooler and more useful.
How brilliant is that Hobo stove.
Gotta go make one of them right now.
Excellent, thanks. How long did it burn or produce heat for? Cheers
Needs a cap or lid to put it out when you’re done. Maybe get 2-3 or more “cooks” out of it. Pretty interesting.
It’s a great way to reuse saw dust! Nice
Super Idee und wie immer eine spitzen Umsetzung!
Great job
nice! now you will just need to have a travel press to use it more than once.
Nice! I wish you were my neighbor!
Pretty interesting project, Hassan! 😃
I've never seen a stove like that!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Man I wish I had did that idea in the service, quick fire mean quick hot meal and heat.

That's awesome mate, how long will it burn for?
maybe go inside and add some pieces of angle iron above the holes so drilling isn't necessary.
I like it, simple and works.
Great job, thank you brother. You are so talented
For the hobo with a machine shop !
Boa ideia irmão, aproveitar pó da serragem da madeira pra combustível excelente 👏👏👏👏👊 Tamo junto
Very clever, well thought out.☺
A machinist's Swedes torch.
Super cool!
Wouldn’t call it hobo but it’s definitely a great idea.

Finally a use for Tumbleweeds. Grind 'em up, burn in this little stove like sawdust.
@@N-Lee Or you could use them as props in Western movies 🤠
Nice. I'm searching some use for my sawdust too
Awesome idea!
I've seen big versions of these. Wood shops use them
Wow! You sure need a lot of equipment to make a HOBO Stove! Then a press to make a sawdust pellet! For a HOBO! Wow!
what if u use clay and mold it😊

Muito interessante! Parabéns, excelente ideia para utilizar a serragem!
Like to see a hobo build that in their cardboard home.
cool... äh, nö... hot :) Danke fürs Zeigen

Nice, could you make saw dust bricket ? Lots of them to burn in fireplaces?
Good idea good job Habu well done
Habu prepares Germany for the Winter 😂
Thank you
it is a well knowed thing, each hobo has a hydraulic press in their bag.
I dig it.
wow
I'm sure that every hobo have lat machine in tent and is able to make this for himself 😂😂
It would be awesome to make a form to press the sawdust into small discs or briquettes instead of having to load the stove in the press each time
That would also allow partial filling rather than filling the whole stove each time
J’aime vraiment bien simple et efficace !!!!!

How long did it burn for?
Could the rod in the middle have threads maybe? Would you get enough preasure without a hydraulic press, you think?

Just need to find a HOBO with a lathe, welder and press and we're in business.
Sorry couldn't help that.
Cool project though.
supergeil👍👍👍
How many Hobo's have a hydraulic press?
Nice!
Yeah every Hobo carries a well fitted out shop like that on his back...
How much time does it last burning?
I wasn't aware that hobos were manufacturing sawdust at a such alarming level....Save the planet..outlaw hobbos
It would have been nice to know how long it burns...
Hi @Habu !Schweden Feuer mal anders !Top Arbeit mein guter !Gruß #BulatsSchmiede 😊🤙
Passt auch der Standard Rundbrikett aus dem Baumarkt da rein? Weil wer hat schon ne Hydraulikpresse zu Hause...😁👍👏

Good idear but heavy and one use. A tin can twig stove is more hobo.
For all those hobos with access to a machine shop, stay near lumberyards, and carry around a hydraulic press.
What's the burn time?
Ok, sawdust rocket stove / log torch
Geniale.

Ingenious but...how many thousands of dollars of machines and how much metalworking skill would the average Schmo need to do this?
Presto logs?
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiick 🔥👏👍
Cool.
Its cool but I wish youd show how to make stuff without welding or any special tools
The stuff wouldn't be as cool though. You can actually get into basic welding pretty cheap anyway.
