Hey Secretly Canadian! Pour whatever you have into supporting Luke. This record is one of the best I've ever heard and other people need to experience songwriting mastery.

    Still I can hear
    The birds of late December
Calling their friends outside in the snow
As mother and father had their talk
    Still undecided who would walk
    Us on the stairs
    Trying not to listen
No one aware what was really going on
Still in the snow they kept their rounds
Cars in the distance leaving town
    Before the split
    Our family took vacations
Our grandparents live on the farthest rock on Earth
It was like heaven to me then
I envy the gas attendant man
For he didn't known anything about me
That I had to leave on the next one flying home
    Filling us up indifferently
Gave me a certain sense of peace, yeah
Then we were two islands in the distance
    Shuffled between two realities
    How can they ever understand
As for myself I can barely can
    And on that day
    We summoned Aphrodite
    And then on that day
I had my had first heart break
Drawing a new line in the sand
Only the way that children can, yeah
    Still I can hear
    The birds of late December
Calling their friends outside in the snow
No they will never think of me
And this I rest on thankfully

When I really get into songs, I like to know every single word, and here I got dragged down the path of listening to some parts over and over again, and couldn't any lyrics online, so I had to write them down on my own :) So this is my best version, if anyone can fix it, please do so, it would be much appreciated! ;)

Think you've nailed it pretty much, just can't work out what he says after flying home.
