Hello Captain Asiri, Thank you for sharing this topic and explain it into detail. It's always a surprise to watch a new video and the best of all is you can see it several times and even then you discover also new stuff into the details. It's also great to be able to accompany you in the flightdeck or say it with other words into your office ;) It was a very short time but I enjoyed every second. I have had this wish for a long time to visit you into the cockpit and it has now come true. Thank you and have a nice day. Bye Bye sire.

      Hello G L,
Thanks for your usual quick engagement and support.
That is true for me as well s as I go over the same sections in the FCOM and FCTM I still learn new things.
Glad you liked the actual airplane video.
      Have a great day G L 😊

If you have a 90* crosswind at 20/33kts would you need full rudder authority?

    • @AbdulmuatiAsiri37

      Hello
I don’t think you will need full rudder, for these winds.

Hello Captain, I have not sleep about it but I'am a little confused. You say when the wind comes from the left right rudder must me pressed but if I do that within the FlightSim the plane go to the right? ... Also is it strange if the wind comes from the left and going to the right (------>) to start more left from the center line or is this a hudge mistake?
Thank you ahead for responding, Have a nice day ;)

      Hello G L,
When the wind hit the airplane because of the large area of the vertical stabilizer that is the vertical portion of the tail. The nose of the airplane will tend to point into the wind. This is what is called wind vaning or “Weathervane effect” so you need to apply opposite rudder to keep the airplane straight.
In the simulator I believe the rudder application is linked to the teller. So a small rudder application will result in a judge input cus the nose application is huge it is not as real as the airplane unless you can separate the joy stick rudder application from the tiller.
Try in the simulator taking off with 16knots cross wind and don’t apply any rudder or flight control you will see the airplane tend to move into the wind. Try it and let me know how it goes.
Thanks for the questions and the discussion.
      All the best
      Abdul

How do you find the physics in this simulator? It is pretty far from the reality looks like a flying train isnt it? I hope the real thing is easier to control

It is not bad actually considering the cost of the software.
You are right though the airplane is a lot easier to fly,
For some reason even a real full motion simulator is very sensitive compared to the real airplane.
My opinion regarding PMDG add on is, it is a blessing for real pilots as it offer the opportunity to practice in the comfort of one’s home.
      Thanks for the question Hk416

      Thx for the advice Jordan,
It looks great, did not know that PMDG published this version.
Unfortunately it work on P3d at this time, not sure yet weather to switch to P3d or wait for the next MS Flight simulator.
      Thanks again for the tip.
