Recently I do hear a lot of stories that the intercity part is pretty busy, so please do reserve a seat if you take the intercity train. If you reserve more seats than passengers, the seats that do have no passengers may be used by others, so this trick doesn't work to create more space.
Great video - thanks. Utrecht railway station is simply fantastic. I just love railway stations - some are beautiful, some are historic, some are cleverly designed, some reveal the character of the city they serve and some are all of these things...endlessly fascinating. I did not realise that this service was a combined Nightjet and IC - something for everyone I guess.
Haha those automatic subtitles don't work that well. My channel is too small to provide this by myself. Video's from and to or near Dutch speaking areas already have Dutch subtitles, that's a lot of work already.
Excellent video! Utrecht Central and its surrounding is probably one my favourite train stations in the world (except for the platforms, perhaps). Unlike what you mentioned, I do think the Swiss coaches are not adequate for a train like this. Even the second class DB coaches look more comfortable than the SBB first class coach. Who wants seats with no headrest, no recline, only square seat accommodation, and very bright lights?
Well the lights where bright everywhere. However, the first class seats of the Swiss coaches are actually pretty comfy. The SBB coaches are in general okay, but the German coaches are a bit better.

Dit is foutieve informatie. De trein bestaat (normaal) uit 2 couchette+1 slaap naar Basel en 1 couchette+1 slaap naar Zürich, maar het rijtuig met de rolstoel is defect, daarom rijdt er maar 1 couchette naar Basel, vanaf 2 maart verandert dit.
Het gaat er om dat mensen begrijpen dat als het niet lukt om een ticket naar Zürich te boeken, ze dit alsnog kunnen proberen te boeken naar Basel. Wel fijn dat er meer capaciteit komt.
Ik heb inderdaad een gopro. Toen ik dit kanaal begin heb ik bekibbeld daarop en een gopro 7 white met gimbal gekocht, achteraf gezien is goedkoop duurkoop gebleken, heb in 2020 een gopro 8 gekocht. Nadeel is dat die een ander formaat heeft waardoor je bijna geen gimbal kunt kopen (andera zou het nog stabieler zijn). Ik heb hem gewoon op een stokje nu. Geen bijzondere setting. Als dit kanaal ooit wat beter gaat lopen, ga ik eens kijken naar upgrades.

Apart from the fact that it will benefit my channel, I'd love to tell stories about those routes. I started this channel when I went to China by train and my original planning was way more exotic than what I have now. At thus moment travelling over land towards India won't be an option I guess, that would be actually what I really like. By the way, my girlfriend who's from Taiwan also recorded a bit over there, I haven't seen the videos yet but probably there will be a video on my channel in Twiwan soon as well (and otherwise, I'll go there as soon as it's possible).
For some routes they will, I guess the rolling stock that would be available because they have brand new cars on other routes will be available for this route.
I always enjoy your videos particularly the photography. One small suggestion, there was way too much talking. People can work out some things themselves and that adds to their experience🙂
True ik denk dat als je je video’s iets persoonlijker en vlotter zou maken het meer kijkers zou trekken. Ik vind vooral het stuk dat je altijd het station gaat beoordelen erg saai. Is geen haat trouwens maar gewoon mijn mening. Ik denk dat je twee keuzes hebt om betere video’s te maken. Of je spreekt achteraf in en maakt het veel vlotter of je doet het live en met veel beleving. Het is puur mijn mening ik denk dat er nog meer potentie in je filmpjes zit. Misschien ook een idee om in het Nederlands verder te gaan om het wat puurder te laten klinken. Het is puur wat ik vind voor de rest moet je lekker doorgaan hoe jij wil.👍
I'll answer in English. I guess you guys are in a way right. It's my weakness to want to tell it all in my enthusiasm and I have to admit, I just LOVE railway stations. Normally its not that much in detail as you see here, because I was able to film more over here I went twice here to film. When I'm travelling there's just less time. I'll see how I can use your feedback. I still do have videos available for a long time by the way, so even if I will adjust this, you need to wait some time before you can see the results (and a station like Milano centrale that just deserves a good review).

Ausführlicher Bericht über Utrecht Centraal und den NightJet Niederlande - Schweiz. Allerdings hat nicht jeder perfekte Englisch-Kenntnisse, um ganz folgen zu können. Simple English und/oder langsamer Reden wäre hilfreich. Teilweise Untertitel in Deutsch wären noch besser. Von den ganz wichtigen Informationen.
