OMG Rob that is a beautiful build and look forward to running here at the Hangar. I am very honored to have it on my track and see what it does. Thank you for building it for the race! Cheers!🍻
Well Rob ,i was just about to go asleep when i seen your post ,so I couldn't resist staying awake another hour 😊 I have just watched a masterclass in slotcar home building 😮im 100% sure our American friends will be blown away by your beautiful midget racer . Awesome work Rob ,stunning just stunning 🤗ps great choice of music ,i feel like ive been sitting in an American diner while watching your post .its just 5am here in latvia...im off to bed ....amazing 💪
Wow Harry, I know what it's like to stay up until the sun rises to watch other UA-camrs videos and I know how hard it is. To know you've also done that for me is amazing, THANK YOU. I'm glad you liked the build 🥰
Thank you, Rob! That was entertaining and informative. I appreciate that you share both your design process and your construction process. I hope that I enjoy building my proxy entry as much as I enjoyed watching you build yours!
After watching some of your previous videos, I saw that you are an engineering and modeling genius. This one confirms your level of brilliance. (standing ovation)
Rob, your attention to detail and skill are exquisite. Truly flabbergasting 😮. And your patient walkthrough and explanation are truly inspiring. I really feel I should experiment working with brass after watching this, although I’d probably end up with something that handled like it would make your pre-mod Alpine look smooth… Thanks again, and bravo, bravo!
Thank you Bernard, working in brass is not all that hard once you have understood a few basic rules and got some basic tools. Email me through Swift Sixteen website if you'd ever like some advice :-) Good luck.
That’s so skilful Rob. I appreciate that there are a great deal of hours invested into all of your builds, but it’s such a selfless gesture to build a car of that standard for someone else.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Sorry Lewis, I didn't build it for Jorge, it's only going over to the US to race in the December proxy, then it's coming back to me, I'm not that generous !
You’re incredibly. The true artist. Watching you build these is as close I will ever get to the satisfaction of building an exquisite slot car. Thank you.
Hi Rob, Great build, your car is beautiful. I participated in Jorge's Proxy last year and it is very fun to watch the car you built go around someone else's track. Good luck and I will be keeping an eye out for it
Hi Rob, Truly inspirational scratch building! Fantastic ideas expertly executed throughout. It's so good that the only problem I have is the YT speed choices don't give me enough of slow playback option for my liking, LOL I'll be re-watching this 100th video many - many times. Congrats all the way around!! Best Regards, Jack
Thank you Jack, I'm glad you liked the build. Most of the fast forward work was sped up even faster to try and get the video down to even this long video. I wanted to make the 100th video a full length single video 🙂
Outstanding. Would love to replicate the chassis. Will try. See you use a torch for some of your soldering. Interesting. And the use of a angle grinder. That's what we call it, for making cuts on your brass. Just curious of the size of it. I have one and I know they can be hard to handle and dangerous. The way you whip it around is unbelievable. A great inspiration. Was recently given a metal lathe from my father-in-law. Plan on playing with it for builds.
Hello PistolPete, If you meant the light torch lighting up the work being soldered, yes, all the irons I have come fitting with lights in them. It's not an option I would choose, but they come as standard now. If you mean a gas blowtorch, I have soldered with my blowtorch set-up, but very rarely on Slot cars (unless silver soldering). The 4" angle grinder is a great tool IF USED CAREFULLY. You need to keep the metal quenched in water to keep it cool and if cutting in you hand, let the disc (1mm) do the cutting and feel it cutting. DON'T force the cut, that's where you can get into trouble! Also keep your fingers and eyes out of the path of a shattering disc (just incase!) The flap wheel I'm using is an 8o grit disc, it's awesome for gently shaping with no stress on the parts rather than hacking away with a hand file! The lathe will be fun, remember, keep your tooling sharp, take light cuts and keep the cutter at or a little less than the centre line of the work. Have fun 🙂
I'm a brit and having guns in the UK is NOT an easy thing, but I do actually have a Revolver (all legal). Mine has wooden grips, not as pretty as pearl, but then mine is BP, so it's cool as hell 😀 Thank you for the comment 🙂
@@SwiftSlots So am I but a Welsh one. I was of course joking. It was a fantastic video. It just made me feel rather inadequate in the model making dept.

THANK YOU Jorge for helping support me, the "honour" is all mine Jorge !!
Oh my Rob. That is a masterpiece! Incredible engineering and detail work. My hat’s off to you! I can only aspire to be that good. Well done.
Thank you Mate, I'm only trying to keep up with you Dave 🥰

G'day, great to watch a master craftsman at work... 10 points and great build cheers
Thank you 🙂66Slotter
Absolutely Fantastic work Rob... Outstanding, I would be afraid to run that piece of Art, again Fantastic 👍🏻
Lol, I'd rather it didn't get scratched, but I already split the body and had to repair it, so another mark can be fixed 🙂
Wow, very nice craftsmanship. The finished car looks fantastic.
Thank you Michael 🙂

Rob, you applied your skill level of "off the chart" to a skill level 5 model to create a master piece. What a beauty......worth watching twice.
LOL, thank you Man, I'm glad you enjoyed watching 🙂
Rob all I can say is WOW, what beautiful work, you are a true craftsman. always love your videos. crack on.

Wow, you are a genius Rob, the build looks fantastic. I look forward to seeing more of it on Area 51.👏👏
Thanks Man, I have no idea how it will perform, probably not as well as the other seasoned builders, we will see 😀
You are a true craftsman great job on the build. Car looks awesome. Beautiful
Thank you 🙂
Rob, that car is quite a nice engineering feat & show of your craftsmanship. Enjoy watching the upcoming proxy events.
Thank you, don't expect too much from it in the race lol.
Rob, this is an amazing video! Thanks for building and sharing your skill with us. Can't wait to see it run at Jorge's track.
Thank you, it's going to be interesting !
Beautiful car! You sir are a master builder!!! Amazing work!!!
