She’s said in interviews that she knew she was done at WM40. It’s not something we knew at the time, but it was something that occurred at the event that we learned about after the fact. Still happened at WM40
Samantha's call when Cody won is still the most real calling I've ever heard during a Main Event. Will never forget her getting emotional and making it feel even more like a big deal.
Hard disagree. Samantha was so phony. Her overacting and "emotion" wasn't about getting the wrestlers over, it was about getting HERSELF over, which is what an announcer should never be doing. Good riddance to her.
I agree. It's nice to watch the entire crew get caught up in the moment. Wrestling is at its best when it feels real, her final call and her shock at the cash in put helped me match her energy.

We were not expecting huge things for Jey vs Jimmy. We were expecting a decent match. Wich we didn't get
Yeah and we thought alright it'll be a no DQ match probably because that's how the Bloodline stuff goes
The Rock vs Roman goes down as one of the worst decisions WWE ever did because there was a simple alternative that the fans would've gotten behind- Let Rock win the Rumble. Have him be one of the contestants, maybe have he and Cody be the last two, and have the Rock toss Cody out of the ring. Sure, SOME fans would be disappointed, but the Rock did mention that he was planning to take on Roman sooner or later, so him winning fair and square and then immediately signalling that he was coming after his cousin would be accepted, however begrudgingly, by the fans. Cody could have won the Chamber and beaten Seth at Wrestlemania, then start a feud with the Judgement Day as Damian cashed in on an exhausted Cody and took away his first real championship belt. It wouldn't be the GREATEST storyline, but it still would be a hell of a lot better than the bait and switch they attempted to do. Were they really assuming that Cody would just give up his spot and withdraw completely, or go on to fight Seth and make the Elimination Chamber pointless? Why did they think this was a better idea than just having the Rock flat-out win the Royal Rumble as Contestant 30?
Rock didn't bookend things,it's the rock bottom. They are totally different 😆
They want us all to forget that they forgot to book Matt Damon for that epic finale so they settled for Undertaker

I think the last thing WWE wants you to forget Rock v Roman. It's the best example I can think of of any entertainment company listening to viewer feedback and turning it into gold rather than forcing their vision
I actually prefer that we got Undertaker over Austin. Austin just felt like they would have pandered to the Attitude Era again when the Main Event was a celebration of each Era of wrestling as a whole. Taker was there for everything, he was there during the Hulkamania Era, the New Generation, the Attitude Era, and his best years being the Ruthless Aggression Era.
You had Cody and Roman as the guys of today, Cena for the the mid 2000's to early 2010's, The Rock for the late 90's-early 2000's, and Taker being there for everything.
Wrestlemania 40 was perhaps the greatest Wrestlemania of all time
If Austin had actually been there it would have been the biggest pop of all time.
I will never forgive the Cody crybabies for getting Roman Reigns versus The Rock cancelled. WrestleMania is two nights for a reason.

And Jimmy had a screwed up leg, and had to go out there in THAT climate and work what would have been a poorly booked match ANYWAY (Jey *believing* Jimmy when he feigned contrition... 🤦♂🤦♂) That's why they had Tama merk him on SD After Mania XL, and why he was gone until October; to write him out for an extended period to recover from a *real* injury...
Number 11: CM punk and Seth Rollins definitely was the plan for Mania 40 for the WHC
Number 12: Sami Zayn sorta pushed Chad Gable out the way for the intercontinental championship
Number 13: Ishowspeed was suppose to do a top rope jump into a RKO but they settle for the RKO on the table instead which didn’t break
Number 14: Becky Lynch had the flu and wasn’t fully a 100% in her title match with Rhea which had the expectation of Rhea vs Charolette but they just didn’t click on the level
Number 15: Damie priest cash in was more a oh sh*t we forgot he’s the mitb winner so we need to hurry up and pull the trigger

I never forget when it look like we were getting Roman Reigns vs the Rock and the absolute outrage from the fans I was probably one of the few that wasn't mad because they never actually confirmed or announced we were getting Roman Reigns vs The Rock and look we end up getting Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes so all those people got mad for nothing
