I was sucked right into the movie since the first ten minutes. I like the fact that there were a lot of flashbacks into what was happening when the plague (or whatever you want to call it) was taking place. The acting was great and credible.

@@erinjbfilm The problem was... I don't have a fear. Nothing tangible nor psychological. No greatest sadness, or despair. I don't feel much either. So it was extremely hard for me to relate. I would probably end up like a cross between the crazy people and the normal people. But it was a good movie.

Trevante is a very cool dude. And he's just 28. Sky's his spring board. Meanwhile Sandra Bullock (and Tom Cruise) seem to have discovered the fountain of youth. How is she 50-anything.
Their chemistry is the best part of the movie. I wasn't the biggest fan of the film, but once they started to get close I believed they were in love and that Trevante's character would do anything for her. What a fantastic actor this man is and the scary things...he's only gonna get better. I really hope they both do a film together again. Maybe something like The Proposal, where its a comedy but has a believable romantic component to it.

It's movies like this that make me keep Netflix around. One of their best of the year. Love that movies like Bird Box and A Quiet Place are being made. Highest recommend if you haven't seen this yet.

Tbh, when I watched the movie I was kinda like "What an odd relationship choice" because it's so rare that you get to see an interracial couple on screen in such a great movie! It's my reaction, to me, is the reason why we need more of this! Just so those thoughts don't come up! I love how it's not a traditional on-screen couple like you wouldn't even imagine seeing these too share a screen and love each other, and seeing the chemistry here is why it also worked so incredibly well on screen! I loved everything about Bird Box. Ugh, awesome movie!
