People need to think about how defending is a losing game. Even if you defend well the game is very lopsided to the offense so it is really unlikely that you can stop a guy like Lillard when there’s all these plays and screens drawn for a good player to score. The best you can do in those cases is being there to contest and reduce the effectiveness of the shot and that is what Campazzo is doing.

Defense wins championship though I don't get what ur saying? With a well planed defense any team can win a game. Players need to hustle these days cause everyone just focuses on offense there are no defensive plays anymore. Remember every player has an off game, it is ur job as a defender to deny that shot. Yes players like damian lillard, lebron, curry, and so many other generational talent players are hard to stop but limiting their shots contesting shots and even blocking shots can get to a players mind. I'm not arguing with you the nba changed into a pace & space kind of league and that is sad. Players lose their hustle in exchange for their shooting😑
@Skrirrex I've seen offense win more often than defense. If your opponent scores 150 and you score 200 it's still a win. "Defense wins championships" is just a cliche.

Im just saying that Basketball is an offensive slanted game so it is very difficult to completely shut down a player who has an offense built around him. The best you can do is prevent that player from being as efficient.

Also, I never heard of having your arms not straight up as a foul. And he looked like his arms were mostly straight up, definitely not pushing Lillard.

I think lillard just had an off night. He stayed with lillard in some possessions but he did get screened out 3-4 times and step back threes are also lillards shots. They just didn’t fall in this game. Also curry is excellent in playing passing lanes but definitely not an elite defender

@Square one Levi Lillard was shooting way too many off-rhythm shots with plenty of time left on the shot clock, he could have used some of that clock to either get somebody else involved or create a better look for himself. Again, Campazzo did his thing for at least trying, but I wouldn't exactly consider him "lockin' Dame up". The fact that you brought up Dame still being able to shoot over Campazzo regardless just proves my point even further.
