The number one pick doesn't go to a good team and ends up winning out the gate No he has to huckle down and deal with the fact that they're losing. Not every team is going to have their number one pick is going to have a Shaq situation. We weren't saying #FreeKyrie in 2011-12 when the Cavs finished with 21 wins, Or #FreeWall when the Wizards finished with 23 wins or #FreeDavis in Year 2 when the Pelicans got only 34 wins or #FreeAI when the Sixers only got 22 wins. All that losing comes with the territory of being the number one pick. So Cade doesn't need to be freed from nothing he is fine where he is. This is coming from a Rockets Fan.

The difference is that those players have had rosters that were built around them cade has negative floor spacing with a team that doesn’t even look like they belong on the same court as the opposing team. That fact that cade can average 23 7 4 is absolutely ridiculous

If the Pistons don’t try to do better building the team around him, they need to let him go. They are wasting his talent. Besides him, there were only 3 players who scored double digits and Bojan was the only one player who made it over 20 points. The other 2 made 15 and 12 points.
There are NBA quality players he has and he can't make them shine because he ball hogs. Even if you a new set of players, if they don't get the ball, they lose confidence and gets disengaged. Different names, same result. If you watch their games, they just let Cade get his points and come crunch time, they defend him as they know he will either make a mistake or pass to a teammate who by that time of the game has no rhythm, hence a miss. It's been done 27 straight times by their opponents.

Last season, Cade was hurt. The rest of the team played like crap. I went to many games just to see them lose game after game. Sometimes they did well the first 3 quarters, then gave up in the 4th. There seemed to be only Bojan who tried in the 4th last season.

You need defense from all the other 4 players and points is what gets players to defend and be more engaged. That's how you win. That is why a PG main job is to assist. Assist leads to Points leads to Defense leads to Win. I wish Cade reads this.
