"Bronte" Gotye and The Barra-Westwind Band featuring Djalu Gurruwiwi

Gotye performed at WOMADelaide 2015 with the band Barra-Westwind from North East Arnhem Land; "Barra" is the Yolngu word for Westwind.
Barra-Westwind are led by Larry Gurruwiwi, his father Djalu is leader of the Galpu Clan and custodian of the Djungarrinyu Yidaki (aka Didjeridoo).
Together Gotye, Djalu and the band collaborated to reversion the song to feature the Yidaki (played by Vernon Gurruwiwi) and Yolngu lyrics "Ditjuma ngana piling'gol". The English translation is "We will be with you".

There are more people listening than you think Djalu your efforts are appreciated by more people than you might think possible on a global basis.
I and others send you all the strength we can when we play with respect to your culture and recognise the many injustices visited upon first nation peoples by colonial powers.
The future may be brighter than it seems now, it is always dim light before dawn but the sun will rise to fill a vessel ready for the spectrum of light your culture has nourished since the time before time began! Breathe easy knowing we are out there the message is getting through. I hope we will meet in person soon if all goes well with destiny's blessing.
