yeah the heavy snow made it tough on my trip...I couldn't do the bells traverse and Capitol because of snow conditions. Will hopefully finish off the 14ers next summer!
I had to take the free town bus up to the Highlands center, then have a prior reservation on the Highlands shuttle up to the Maroon Bells trailhead area. You can get dropped off at Maroon Bells if it's before 8 am. Just look over the shuttle and bus info to make sure you have it right
I had it just slotted through one of the straps in my pack, but it wasn't secure. It must have flown out when I quickly rotated my body one time and I just didn't realize it
Rock ax! Baddass🎉
Epic views!
Nice and wide 8:31 but a fall woot … good video sir ! Congrats on your 29th !!!
thanks! I'm at 46 now, will finish them next summer!
Climbed it a month later. Very different story. No snow.

probably about 75 min -- 10/15 min bus ride, then had to wait at the center for 30 min, then 30 min to TH
What time did you start your ascent? Looking at eloping to the top!
well I had to catch the bus and then the first shuttle, so I think it was almost 7:30 or 8 by the time I started hiking
Thank you!
@@abbystewart8380 Most people start earlier I would say -- I am a fast hiker
@@HikingEngineer yeah I saw another video where they started before sunrise. That would make me feel safer.
