For anyone who isn’t sure, eating candy doesn’t give you diabetes. Diabetes is caused when your pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin. Diabetes is usually caused by genetics or lifestyle. ( I’m not diabetic so I don’t know everything about diabetes but someone in my life has diabetes and I learned this information )

Type 1 is where the body makes little to no insulin and theyll NEED to take insulin injections. type 2 is where the body does make insulin but body doesnt use it efficiently. ppl that have type 2 are indeed pushed to make healthier life choices because it plays a big factor. obese ppl are more likely to get type 2
Lol you can develop insulin resistance which causes type 2 diabetes. Eating foods high in processed sugar causes massive blood sugar spikes, which causes the body to release insulin. If this happens too frequently your body doesn’t respond to the insulin, thus your body cannot use the sugar which causes hyperglycemia, which causes diabetes. Normalizing eating high amounts of processed sugar does no one any good and this trend is horrible.
