As a New Jerseyan, I can confirm that New York is like our sibling. We hate them so much yet when they need us we help them and when we need them they help us. Since a lot of times whatever happens in NY (or at least in the city) affects NJ bc a lot of New Jerseyans work in York

As a Marylander, DC is totally not Maryland. I get “Oh you’re from DC” as well and I’m like, no, I’m from the Peninsula. Also some sort of rivalry with Delaware cus they don’t know what a turn signal is in Delaware.

Ok that is pretty true like WHAT THE HECK OKLAHOMA WHY DID YOU STEAL A PART OF OUR PANHANDLE(lol) Jk no hate towards anyone in the states, but arguably I would say that Texas has a slight rivalry with California because of the movement from CA to TX I mean I here people say sometimes in my town like “Are you from here? No, I moved here to TX from CA.” And stuff so on and so on.

Oklahoma is usually very forgotten, just south of the breadbasket and just north of the second largest state. Plus we don’t really have anything that makes us significantly stand out.

As an Illinoisan, can confirm we don’t have good bonds with Wisconsin nor Iowa.
Wisconsin is mainly football matters (Bears vs Packers, classic)
